* Palmetto Dunes is a gated community in which every vehicle must have a gate pass for entry. One gate pass is included with your reservation at the time of booking. If you require additional passes, please request the exact number needed to ensure they are prepared in advance. Each pass has a fee of $45. All gate passes must be picked up at the host2coast office prior to entry.
* Pool and/or spa heating is available for an additional fee and can be arranged after your booking is confirmed. We kindly ask that heating is ordered in advance of the stay. If the outdoor temperature falls below 50 degrees, the pool heater may not function properly and the pool may not reach the desired temperature. Please note that no refunds will be issued if the pool heating equipment cannot maintain the temperature.
* Garage is not for guests use.
* Free access to The Dunes Buggy transportation which provides courtesy transportation within Palmetto Dunes, Leamington, and Shelter Cove mid-March through mid-September. This on-demand service dispatches vehicles on a first-come, first-serve basis!

Hilton Head Vacation

We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful (as described in VRBO listing) and plenty of room for our family of 9. We spent time at the beach and by the pool. There are floats for the pool and beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach (we added another 6 chairs and an umbrella). Many restaurants in close proximity and a lot of activities for the grand kids.

Milestone Birthday Vacation

This property was everything it said it was. Absolutely a great place to stay. The Palmetto Dunes community is fantastic. We rode bikes everywhere on the island. The beach was a 5 min walk away. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. Loved Hilton Head Island. We hope to get back again to play more golf and will definitely try to stay here again.

Making Memories!

We have been coming to Hilton Head for many years and this was our first time staying in the Palmetto Dunes area. Some of the things we especially loved were the large pool, hot tub, golf course views, and open layout. The walk to be beach was about 5 minutes. We throughly enjoyed our stay. šŸŒ“šŸŒ“

Excellent stay

The house is just as listed. It was spacious and very accommodating to our group of 10. We had a couple questions and they were very fast to respond. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc, however there were no pot holders and only two dish towels. The house had plenty of nice towels for the pool. We had a great time and highly recommend.

Location and Relaxation

Our family just returned from our first time in Hilton Head for spring break and we definitely would recommend this home as a rental. The layout inside is so functional and comfortable...great kitchen, master, family room, and storage garage. The outside patio is also a great layout. My sons and I had great times watching golfers golf and ospreys fish while sitting in the hot tub. The home is located in a quiet, private area that is just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. Also important, the owners were very easy to communicate and work with. Overall we had a great experience!

I have to agree with the previous comments, pictures just do not do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The views of the golf course each morning and the location of the house has it all. We honestly did not need to leave once we got there. It is a mini resort just waiting for you. The pool was very clean as with the hot tub. I can't say enough about this house. It exceeded our expectations and we will for sure be back next year.

Great Golf Week

The property lived up to all the pictures and reviews I found on VRBO. We have been coming to Hilton Head for a few years now and this was our most favorite property. We are six golfers ranging in age from 39 to 65 and utilized every thing the house offered.....pool, hot tub, large dining areas, bikes and beach gear. The expansive kitchen and gas grill allowed us to cook in and save some money and the large sitting area with flat screen TV was more than enough room for all 6 of us. The house was well equipped with bath and beach towels and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Will definitely be looking to rent this property again.

FANTASTIC LOCATION

We absolutely LOVED staying here with our family ! Upon entry, the house was spotless and felt very homey. We had a large group with plenty of sleeping/bathroom spaces. Unit is well equipped for large groups with lots of beach bikes, beach chairs, wagon, etc to make the 5 minute walk very easy. It was so fun to be on the 13th green and watch the golfers in the afternoon as we splashed in the pool and hot tub. Palmetto Dunes is a perfect family location with easy grocery/shopping/eating right outside of the resort as it's across from Shelter Cove. My only suggestion would be to bring a beach umbrella as the sun gets really hot on the beach. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Home!

Your home was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilton Head. We loved the access to TV's in all the different areas. The pool and hot tub was really nice and very clean. The interior of the home was tastefully decorated. My husband enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. I loved all the amenities in the master bedroom suite. We were able to enjoy a relaxing vacation due to your hospitality. It certainly was a pleasure to meet you. You were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for letting us stay. Comfort with a view.

Extremely clean, newly renovated property with high-end, well-equipped kitchen (apart from kettle). Large, light-filled rooms from picture windows on main level, a bonus for cooler winter days. Safe, gated deck for young children overlooking the pool. Extremely comfortable furniture and beds. Excellent view of Trent Jones golf course, lagoon and wildlife. Easy 5 minute walk to beach. Use of bikes in garage a nice touch. Owners friendly, personable and very accommodating. Would not hesitate to recommend this rental.

It was everything we wanted and more

The house met all of our expectations for our stay at HHI. It was clean, well cared for, and in a great location with a quick walk to the beach. The pool was larger than we expected, which was a nice surprise! We enjoyed spending time on the deck watching the golfers and wildlife. The evening of our arrival my husband noticed that the patio table umbrella was broken. He called the rental company and they delivered a new one the very next morning. I had to call the rental office a couple times prior to our stay and always found them to be professional and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

The location is fantastic right off of the golf course. Renting bikes is a must for you can get everywhere on a bike (beach, grocery store, etc.). It is a very short walk or bike ride to the beach. The house has a great location. The house itself is decent. The patio and pool are fantastic! The inside could use a little TLC. The upstairs air conditioning doesn't work very well so the upstairs is very hot. We tried but could not get it cooled very well. The kitchen is well equipped but could use some updating. The can opener is from the 1980's. Overall, the stay was pleasant. Could add some more pool toys in the deck box as everything there was very worn. Thanks, Brandy

Wonderful experience for our entire family very familiar with Palmetto Dunes!

We cannot say enough about the hospitality of Karen and Ron and their immaculate, well equipped and well furnished home in the sought after Mariner section of Palmetto Dunes. We have been travelling to Hilton Head for over 12 years, and have stayed in a variety of accommodations, most of which have adequately met our needs. This property however well exceeded our expectations. The pictures certainly don't do it justice! It is ideally located, minutes from the beach, with a larger than usual private pool and deck, and a fantastic view of the 13th hole of Robert Trent Jones. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the beach, since it is further north of the hotel traffic, is wider and quieter, even though we were there during one of the busiest weeks of the Summer. The full range of our families needs were well satisfied (from grandparents to teenagers). Bonuses included bikes and beach and pool equipment, including chairs, TVs everywhere (so we could keep up with Wimbledon) and working WiFi. We will DEFINITELY be rebooking next year. It was delightful to be able to meet and chat with Ron and Karen and their son. We truly felt like guests treated like VIPs! Well worth the money spent!

Great Family Home for ALL ages!

This home was open, spacious and very practical for our family (2 sr citizens, 4 adults, 2 pre-teens, 1 toddler). The views from inside and outside the house were amazing and the deck was a great place to congregate to watch incoming golfers on the 13th hole, lounge by the pool, eat and swim.Bedrooms were spacious and all beds were comfortable (other than a squeaky master bed which we reported to property manager at checkout). New air fryer, Keurig and regular coffee pot in kitchen and plenty of beach and bath towels. Lots of hooks in the bedrooms and in laundry room to hang wet suits and towels. Beach chairs and some pool toys also available. Minor downside is that the pool is very hard to keep clean bc of the foliage around it. So be prepared to scoop the leaves out regularly. It didnā€™t stop us from swimming (a pool cover would be ideal). About .25 mile walk/bike to beach access point. Recommend renting bikes. We used Island Life bike rentals but plenty of others around. Baby gear rentals from LowSea Rentals (delivery upon request and 15% off from host). They also do bike rentals but didnā€™t have e-bikes. Family room could use extra lamp at night (vs bright overhead lights) and the TV is a very old smart TV (recommend bringing a fire stick if you have one). Other than that, VERY happy with our stay and Host2Coast was GREAT to work with. Super responsive in answering emails within 1-2 hours and took care of any issues within 12-24 hrs. Highly recommend!

Nicest home in Palmetto Dunes

Our family has been vacationing in Palmetto Dunes homes for the last 15 years, and this beautiful home at 14 Port Tack is by far the best one yet. This home was perfect for all of us: grandparents, 3 adult kids, and 2 toddlers. It is set on the scenic 13th hole of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course with gorgeous views of the lagoon, yet only a five minute walk to the beach. The house is not only decorated tastefully, it is clean and well-equipped. The appliances are high-end, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. Our family had waffles every morning thanks to the professional grade waffle maker that was provided. There is no need to go out for breakfast. As comfortable as the house was, the outdoors was always calling. We often grilled out for lunch and ate on the deck table and watched the golfers go by. The deck was pristine ( the owners were there power washing it when we arrived), and the pool was large and full of sunshine. Three large umbrellas are supplied for those in need of some shade. And then there was that hot tub, with the flat screen TV. That's a first for us on our vacation! We also thoroughly enjoyed the bikes, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, and wagon that were supplied and kept in the garage. They came in handy to haul the toddler grandkids back and forth to the beach. All of the extra provisions made for a wonderful week in this beautiful home. We felt a little spoiled here, and are already making plans to return here same time next year. Thanks Ron and Karen for a wonderful week and all the attention you give to your renters, especially for mailing my husband's lost beach shoe back to him! We appreciate your kindness!

Really enjoyed our stay

I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars because 4 stars do not do it justice. The rental company was attentive from the minute that I booked the place all the way through the day of our arrival. Once we arrived, they were still just a simple phone call away if we needed ANYTHING. The house is nice, has two family rooms (perfect for adults and kids), a HUGE kitchen, PLENTY of storage, and even has bikes, a beach wagon, and plenty of beach chairs. It's a five-minute walk to the beach (if that). And, its a quick car ride to the nicest grocery stores on Hilton Head Island (Kroger/Whole Foods) and the liquor store (which has a good wine selection). There's a grill that's easy to use on the porch. The house has a TON of pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils that we usually find lacking in rental properties. Also, it's in the Palmetto Dunes area, which we find to be one of the nicer areas of HHI. The house itself was a great rental property, but I will say a few things that led me to give it 4 stars over 5 stars (I think 5 stars should be HARD to get BTW): - The pool is older, and at some point will need to be resurfaced. it was rough on my kids' feet. Also, one of the steps of the ladder was completely broken, making it harder for my parents to get out of the deep end. Finally, there isn't a railing to enter the pool, which can make it difficult for older folks (my parents are in their 70's) and my youngest son (just turned 2). - There weren't a ton of shutters/blinds/window coverings on the main floor outside of the bedrooms, and because this on the golf course, at times it felt a little less private than we would have liked. - The water pressure was less than desirable in the showers. But the showers themselves were quite nice and spacious. - The fit and finish on everything was good but not great, but this is a rental property, so I didn't expect it to be 5 star worthy. In the end, we would stay here again and hope that maybe they've added window coverings. :-) Enjoy this house on Hilton Head!
