This new charming beach cottage is perfect for beach family vacations, golf outings, tennis and pickleball trips, and just a relaxing getaway!

UPDATES INCLUDE:

This town home style villa features beautiful water views from your private deck on the 11-mile lagoon in Palmetto Dunes.

The bedrooms are set up as follows:

*Master bedroom on main level has a king bed
*Guest bedroom on main level has a king bed
*Guest bedroom on 2nd level has a king bed
*Guest bedroom on 2nd level has 2 bunk beds and a twin bed (sleeps 3 in beds)

There are 3 full baths, 2 on the first floor and 1 on the second floor.

Captain's Cove is part of the Oceanfront Captain's Walk complex across the street. Walk 2 minutes out your front door to access the gorgeous beaches in Palmetto Dunes. Captain's Cove guests are able to enjoy the spacious oceanfront pool at Captain's Walk as well as the grill areas by the pool. Additional grill areas (charcoal) are located in between each Captain's Cove building, making it easy to enjoy a nice meal at home. The pool is open from March 1st - November 30th and is heated from March 1st - April 30th and October 1st - November 30th. During the closed season the deck is still open for use. The kids' pool I open April 1st - September 30th.

This unique property offers tranquility on your back deck overlooking the peaceful lagoon, while being so close to everything Palmetto Dunes has to offer! Steps to the beach, biking trails, tennis, pickleball, golf, restaurants, etc. The Omni Hotel is across the street offering a coffee shop/market and world-class restaurants.

Each villa has 2 assigned parking spaces right in front, making it easy to bring in your luggage and groceries. If you need additional parking you can park across the street in the Captain's Walk complex.

Great vacation home!

This is a beautiful and spacious villa. Wonderful location, comfortable space, and a lovely view. We have enjoyed renting this villa for many years now. It is a wonderful place to call home for a week in Hilton Head!

Great Villa

This is by far the best place we have stayed in Palmetto Dunes. Loved the location on the lagoon but still close to the beach. The owner is responsive and helpful. The family wants to stay here again next year.

Fun vacation with family

Mara, the property owner is very responsive, as soon as I'd send her a note via the VRBO app, I received a response within 5-10 minutes. She was very helpful. The condo is very pretty and close to the pool and beach.

Perfection in Hilton Head

Beautiful townhome! Immaculate and cozy and perfect friends or families. Private entrance to stunning beach and great pool area with covered space to relax and enjoy games and snacks. First visit to SC and so happy we found this gem close to great food and fun things to do!

This home exceeded our expectations. The renovations in 2019 were awesome, it is so close to the beach and there was enough room for everyone! Mara was great and was available for any questions. Will definitely choose to stay here again!

Lovely Lagoon view close to beach

Beautifully done, spacious townhome on peaceful lagoon yet only 2 minute walk to the sand. Easy to come back in for lunch. Plenty of sleeping space. We saw lots of wildlife from the back deck, great spot for a quiet morning coffee. Nice touches like bunk beds, beverage fridge, beach equipment. Enjoyed the Captains Walk pool. We are longtime fans of Captains Walk beach location, but if you’re looking for a little more room, this gem right across the street is a best bet!

Bailey family beach vacation

Our whole group enjoyed the house, short walk to pool and beach kept sand out of the house! The wagon and beach chairs were greatly appreciated and used. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials (even found a crockpot, though we didn’t use it). The bathrooms had nightlights and there were places to charge our electronics via usb port (?). Very relaxing, enjoyed our breakfast and coffee on the deck overlooking the lagoon. Saw the alligator in the lagoon, plus the hummingbird and their nest and another bird nest close by. Mara responded quickly with any concerns or questions. Would stay there again.

Third Stay Here!!

Our stay was wonderful! Mara is an excellent host and responded to us whenever we had any issues. We've already booked it for a fourth year. The space is very clean, with minor scratches and dirt marks on doors. The kitchen provides guests with everything they need, including the outdoor closet with beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon. We are very pleased to hear the master bathroom is being renovated, Mara has been renovating items each year -- keeping it up to date!

Beautiful, peaceful retreat with easy, quick beach access

We've stayed in other units in Captain's Cove, so the layout of the villa was familiar to us. This unit is nicely decorated and furnished with everything we needed. We had four littles with us, so all of our meals were eaten in. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals so that we could get babies to bed ontime. There was plenty of room in the upstairs king bedroom for a pack n play for our 11 mo grandson and two bassinets in either of the two first floor king bedrooms for our 6 mo grandson and granddaughter. The bunk room was perfect for our three year old granddaughter and could have accomodated several people if we had needed it to. We absolutely love the location, as you get the peacefulness and nature of the lagoon in back and quick access to the beach accross the street. This was really helpful when babies needed naps. We would definitely recommend this property to other families planning a vacation on the most beautiful place on earth.

Good location, but stinky

First off, the location is amazing. My family and I couldn’t have been happier with the location of this condo in proximity to the beach. The owner provided bike rentals, which was a really awesome surprise. The provided beach chairs came in handy as well. I had two issues I approached the owner with and she was incredibly responsive to both, and was very polite. The big issue I had is this condo seems to have a bad mold problem. So bad that when we got home and unpacked our items, we noticed some of our clothes smelled incredibly musty. If you or your companions have any sensitivities to mold, they will have a hard time staying in this condo. The first two evenings I went to bed sick and woke up sick. The mold is most prevalent in the room with the bunk beds. It was coming out of several places that had openings in the rooms. I reported the issue to the owner, who immediately called her contractor who came to clean up the mold around the openings. That’s great, but I’m thinking there is a much bigger problem behind the walls. Take this with a grain of salt, as I’m not a mold expert, but you can smell it as soon as you walk through the front door. I would not stay here again only because of the mold issue. Everything else about the condo was really great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mara’s townhome! We had 5 adults and 2 children, ages 3 and 7. The 3 king bed rooms and 3 bathrooms worked great for our group, and the kids loved the bunk room. There was plenty of space to lounge and watch movies/TV and plenty of space to sit and eat meals together. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of cookware and serving dishes to prepare our meals. There were several games in the closet, although we didn’t get a chance to utilize any of them as we brought our own. A beach wagon, boogie board, and some beach chairs were available in the outdoor storage closet. This was our first time staying in HHI at a non-beachfront resort and I was a little nervous about how we’d like the location, but it was honestly a great spot! It’s just a quick walk across the street to the pool and beach. We walked to the Omni resort next door just about every day to get coffee from their market, and walked to Palmetto Dunes general store a few times as well. Overall it was a great stay and I’d highly recommend for families or groups of friends.

Check in couldn't have been easier, and the location couldn't have been better. Our whole family, including our adult children's friends and significant others, loved the condo, accessibility to the beach and pool, the lagoon in back, the board games, the grills next to the pool, etc etc. We will be back!

Hilton Head Family Vacation

We had a great stay at the condo. We had older teenagers and adults on a family vacation and everyone fit just perfectly. Plenty of beds and rooms to go around. The unit was very well stocked with all kitchen essentials and all beach items, making it easy to fly in with just our clothes and towels. Beach right across the street was very close and convenient. We loved being on the lagoon and watching some gators swim by in the mornings. Mara is great to work with and answered questions about the unit quickly. We absolutely loved this property! It was so convenient to the beach and even to the Omni hotel we have stayed in a lot of properties in palmetto dunes and my kids tell me this is the best . The pool does not have a hot tub compared to the other properties but we got a day pass at the Omni and that worked. The house was very clean and very spacious . My grandson loved the bunk beds and the master bathroom and rooms are beautifully decorated . Thanks for the beach chairs and buggy . I am planning on going back to stay there next year . The owner was very quick to respond also . Wish I could go back again . This is a 10 out of 10 for my family .

Great location

Just as nice as it looks in the pictures. Great location-so close to the beach and an easy walk to the Omni Hotel, which has a nice coffee/snack shop. Super clean. Would 100% stay there again.

Check-in very easy as Mara provided detailed instructions prior to arrival. Once inside we were very impressed with cleanness of condo. The condo was very large for our family of seven with several locations within the place relax (rear deck, rear sitting room, the large bedrooms and livingroom). The mattresses were very comfortable.and the updates were as described, beautiful. The condo was very well stocked even having a pair on scissors.I been staying in Palmetto Dunes for past eight years and this location was by far the nicest. Hope to be able to rent this location for the next multiple years!

#491 Captain's Cove is peaceful and serene on the back deck overlooking the lagoon, and when you leave the front deck your toes are in the sand in less than 2 minutes! It is the best of both worlds!

The two large decks, one in the front and one in the back, are what sold us on this home. You can find sun or shade anytime! We also love the large eat-in kitchen, as well as having additional bedrooms upstairs. Lots of space for the family to spread out! Captain's Cove is part of the oceanfront Captain's Walk complex across the street, so you are able to enjoy all of the amenities of the oceanfront pool and grill area, while enjoying the quiet serenity on the lagoon. An added benefit is you have 2 designated parking places right in front of the villa, so no stairs or elevators to bring in your luggage or groceries!
