Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check-in process was simple. It was a little inconvenient that they were down to 1 elevator, but we knew that ahead of time. The room was clean. We had an issue with the dryer not drying clothes very well, but a phone call to the office and it was fixed as quickly as possible! The bed is VERY soft. Like laying on a cloud. My husband loved it- me, it was comfortable but a little too soft for someone who has back issues. However, I pulled out the Murphy bed and slept there with my kiddo and it was just fine. The couch is really worn down and not very comfortable to sleep on. The pullout bed in the couch was not very comfortable. The unit was recently updated, and you can tell! The complementary chairs worked great for our beach time. The only frustration was a few days we would have other people in our spot because the attendant “didn’t think we were coming down.” The palm tree blocks your view of the beach, so removing it should be considered. It was our first time in PCB- we will definitely come back!

Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Pelican Walk for 20+ years and have always been pleased with everything that they have to offer.The pool areas and grounds are always clean and well cared for.Most units are updated and very clean.We stayed in unit 302, which had just been resently redone. The balcony was the most comfortable that we've had, high backs and a rocker.Looking forward to our next trip.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is in major need of updates. The kitchen has cabinets and appliances that look like they have been there since it was built. You can tell the cabinets and drawers are not cleaned. We washed all silverware and what pots and pans (that weren’t just completely gross and not able to be used) before we used them. There was rust and what looked like little spots of black mold in the living room and bathroom in the bedroom. We didn’t even use the shower in the bathroom hallways because it was so small. It might be worth it for the owners to come and stay and see if they would pay the money that is charged for the unit in the condition that it’s in.

You can't beat the location. Beach access and pool were awesome, and it's great to have a shady balcony to eat outside. The area is not very busy and close to the state park. The property is a bit run down and I agree with the other reviews about the odor. This unit is in desperate need of a dehumidifier. It's normal for things to dry slowly in humid climates but everything we owned ended up damp even if it never got wet. The bed and our pillows were damp. The pull out couch does not have an acceptable mattress. It's the equivalent of laying in a sleeping bag on gravel. The owners should not advertise that this unit sleeps 4 unless this mattress is replaced.

Remotes

Only issue is that the remotes do not work with the living to TV. The batteries were dead and the management brought new ones which was very nice, but the remotes would not change channel and very difficult to watch tv and change channels and no guide available.

It was good. Could have been cleaned better hair was in the bathroom floor,mildew on the shower curtains, used towel in the master bedroom, dog hair on the let out couch also overwhelming odor of DOG... But other then that it was good loved the beach

Pick a different condo

The building and amenities were perfect for a family. There were things to do for all age ranges. The building, pool, and grilling areas were very clean and we saw employees cleaning every day. The condo on the other hand was terrible. The best that I could say about it was that it was very dated. The condo still had sand from previous guests and was very dusty in places that should have been cleaned! Every time that you opened the doors or took a shower everything in the condo became damp. The dryer takes forever to dry anything. On the last day we were there we realized that there was even mold on a lamp shade in the living room area. We came with two other families that stayed on the 8th floor and their condos were very clean and didn’t have any of the same issues as we had. We will stay at Pelican Walk again but WILL NEVER stay in unit 302!!!

Very close walk to beach.

The only thing I didn't like which is most condos, you can't turn air below 70, every room should have a ceiling fan.

Clean and a very nice stay

The condo was very clean. The access to the beach was great. Excited to see there was a Keurig. Was sad we couldn't use the hot tub, thanks to Covid. The palm tree was a hindrance for our view to see the beach, but I still enjoyed the balcony. A few minor discrepancies, but not a deal breaker, would stay here again.
