Private Beach - Beachside Cottage on Barnstable Harbor

Romantic getaway or private retreat... Completely renovated, quintessential Cape Cod cottage. This 400 sq ft bungalow steps from a private beach is nestled beside Mass Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary. Open living spaces, two large decks plus a separate stone patio with gas fire pit, provide space to spread out and enjoy the property. Kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, whale watch cruising, or simply relaxing on our private, natural sandy bay-side beach are just a few of your options here

The space:
Expertly designed and decorated in light and leisurely Cape Cod style, your cares will melt away as you enjoy the views from every vantage point. Perfect for a couple and either an additional adult or two small children (willing to sleep on the two twin-sized air mattresses provided or the comfortable sectional couch). We provide a high chair, Graco "Pack and Play" , and baby bath if required. There is a 3 piece bathroom with an additional spacious and private enclosed outdoor shower (recommended). The kitchen comes equipped with a propane gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and is fully stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware. There is a new propane grill on the rear deck for your personal use and a great picnic table for outdoor dining and cocktails. Enjoy!

Guest access:
As part of the Cape Cod Village cottage community, we are one of approximately 20 unique bungalows situated on acres of shared private land including an expansive private beach and open common spaces for relaxation and enjoyment. Life here revolves around the beach, the views, and all it has to offer

Other things to note:
We live in the neighboring town of YarmouthPort just 3 miles/10 minutes away from the cottage, and so are available by phone, text or personally to answer any and all questions our guests may have prior to and during their stay.

We ask that all guests please continue to use the sanitizing cleansers and cleaning materials provided to keep the spaces and living quarters in safe and healthy condition for themselves and others.

Thorough and intensive cleaning takes place between all guest stays. Please do your best to keep the spaces clean and sanitized during your stay. Special concern is appreciated for the health and safety of the people cleaning after your departure. Thank you.

High priority is given to the privacy and respect of our neighbors and the other members of the community. Gatherings are not permitted at the cottage spaces or beach. Thank you for your consideration.

Traditionally, Cape cottage rentals tend to require that renters provide their own sheets/linens and towels. However, we realize that this may not be feasible for all our guests, so we provide sheet sets for the queen bed and twin-sized air mattresses, pillows, blankets, as well as towels sufficient for the length of your stay, all included in the rental cost. For your convenience, there is an outdoor clothesline for airing and drying as desired. Blankets and towels provided are not intended for beach use. We do provide beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella for your use. For guests that stay for more than one week, used towels and linens will be collected and fresh replacements delivered on a weekly basis. We are also conveniently located to many food, variety and specialty store options to meet your shopping needs.

Perfect cottage!

Everything about Jeff and Maryritaā€™s cottage was perfect! The cottage was in wonderful condition, the beach access was amazing, and the location was ideal to experience Cape Cod. Highly recommend staying in their property!

We had a comfortable and serene visit. Check in easy. The cottage is well appointed with everything one needs to cook and dine outside. Walks to Audubon's Long Meadow wildlife sanctuary were pleasant diversion, along with beach walks.

We had a fabulous week at Jeff and Maryritaā€™s charming and pristine cottage, just steps from a tranquil private beach. They have overlooked no detail in making the cottage a comfortable and relaxing retreat. A well-appointed kitchen, super comfy bed and multiple outdoor seating areas are only a few of the many amenities. We were made to feel so welcome, and enjoyed the lovely Chardonnay they so thoughtfully left for us! It was a perfect, peaceful escape, and we hope to return.

Absolutely adorable cottage, unbeatable location. Rental was extremely clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Fire pit was a plus, and the outdoor shower was fabulous !!

This is the perfect cottage get-away. Three minutes to the beach. Every aspect of this cottage deserves a 5-star rating. Completely modernized snd exceptionally clean. Quiet setting. Jeff met us at the cottage and walked us through the cottage and its features. Adjacent to an amazing Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. Easy access off of 6A. We highly recommend this cottage. A great experience for my wife and I. Would definitely return.

Secret treasure

This place was amazing! So clean, so close to the water. Just driving into the property felt like we found a private place that nobody else knows about. Barnstable has always been a special place to me but this properly and cottage were especially beautiful!

Cape Bay beach get away

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The owner paid a lot of attention to details , and we had everything we needed. The outdoor space was beautiful. A great place to hang out, watch the sunsets and enjoy the gas fire pit. Private beach was 100 yards away :)

Wonderful little cottage

Jeff and Maryrita were very kind to us, this is quite a nice cottage on a private beach, way off the beaten path. Anne has been coming to the Cape for years and never knew much about the area of the cottage. Everything nice and clean, neat and organized, and nice personal touches all around. A very enjoyable stay, and looking forward to returning.

Wonderful, charming cottage. Ideal location close to the sound and centrally located. Lovely area to take walks. The cottage is cozy, including everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautifully decorated and landscaped. The owner met us upon arrival showed us around, answered any questions and left us with some welcoming treats. We will definitely return to this accommodation.

Lovely cottage!

The property is so well done- perfect for the two of us for a long weekend. The owner met us and gave us a great walkthrough to point out what we needed to know and offered recommendations for area restaurants and things to do. The cottage had everything we needed with added welcoming touches from the owners. Being able to walk a short distance and be on the beach was one of our favorite parts. It is also 1/2 a mile from Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary which is very nice for walking trails. We enjoyed that the property was remote enough for a quiet stay but a short distance to whatever we needed. Thanks for sharing!

So fun (plus amazing decorating and landscaping)

The property is perfect. The quality and attention to detail of the interior decorating is exceptional. Jeff and Maryrita are gracious and attentive hosts. The view is great and the beach is so close. We were able to enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding because it was so easy to get everything to the beach. The little neighborhood is so charming. It is a quintessential cape cod setting. The proximity to Barnstable and Hyannis are also a plus as well as the nearby walking trails. It makes for a lot of variety of things to do while still staying right by the beach. We didn't want to leave after our two weeks.

Home away from Home

This truly was a home away from home. The pictures on VRBO are true to nature and the place is just as stunning in person. There was everything that you could need as if it was your own home. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of cookware and utensils. Both the front and back deck had beautiful views of the Ocean and loved listening to the hummingbirds buzz around the landscaping and seeing the little bunny rabbits hop around. The beach is within walking distance and the waters were calm and refreshing for a nice dip to cool off. The hosts were amazing and really put a lot of thought into the cottage. Looking forward to staying there on an annual basis. 10 stars!

Better than Home

Wow! Where to begin! The cottage is adorable - perfectly decorated, meticulously cleaned, secluded yet close to everything you could possibly ever want to do. Jeff was helpful and available and suggested several great things to try (which we did and were so glad we took his suggestions!). They have so many personal touches added to make your stay even more comfortable, and we just loved the thoughtfulness. If youā€™re looking for a place to relax and recharge - this is your place. The pictures are definitely accurate, but itā€™s actually even better in person. Quaint, peaceful, quiet. Weā€™d come back in a heartbeat!

Perfect Cape Cod getaway

We are so glad we found this charming Cape Cod cottage. With its high ceilings and perfectly sized decor, it lives like a much bigger place. It's a great mix of modern style and old Cape Cod charm, and everywhere you turn, there's something to delight the eye. The cottage was immaculate, and everything about it is designed with the guests in mind. The kitchen is fully stocked, and Jeff and Maryrita, the perfect hosts, have thought of everything. Jeff met us at the cottage to show us around and answer all our questions. Communicating with Jeff was a pleasure, and he checked in with us the next day to make sure we had everything we needed. Perfect Spot

Incredible little gem. Far enough away from the noise to relax and see the starts but close enough to grab a coffee in town. Perfectly sized for 2 (+ maybe a small 3rd) and really comfortable. Jeff is a super nice guy and full of local info. We'll definitely be back!

Love Love Love this Cottage!

This is a must stay! The owners spared no expense to make this cottage a true Cape Cod experience. We will definitely come back. Wonderful getaway

My spouse and I went with our toddler and had a wonderful time. It's a few minutes' walk to the beach, which is nothing at all. The house is so adorable and perfectly arranged. There was tons to do in walking distance including the beach and Audubon sanctuary, and also lots of restaurants and other beaches within a short drive. Would love to go back.

Cozy, clean cottage

The property was perfect for a couple. It was small but cozy. It was tastefully decorated and they used the small space well. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The only negative thing was the couch was very uncomfortable. However the owner pointed that out right away and indicated he would be replacing it. Itā€™s a great location.
