Cozy and family oriented

We had a lovely weekend exploring the island and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Cozy place with a lovely patio and comfy beds. It had everything we needed and a short 3 block walk to the beach. Management was helpful and great communication. Cant wait to come back!

outdated...mismatched furniture...rugs worn ...needs a paint job ...no top sheet on the bed ...kitchen cabinets hand painted...bathroom fixtures worn out... owner should come and spend the night to see the conditions ....considering the conditions of the unit I rate it as a very poor value.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation experience over Christmas was great! Our vacations on Jekyll began in 1992. In 1993, I believe, our family rented Ariel East and loved it. We have rented it several times over the past 30 years. The connecting back patios are great for family gatherings and I had the pleasure of having my 2-year-old great granddaughter discover that she could slip through the connecting gates and visit me next door (her family was in Ariel East).

Almost Perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the space and location are great, there are a few things that need to be fixed to make this a perfect place to stay. The beds are not comfortable although the linens are quite nice. The back sliding door is difficult to open and the front door doesn't always latch. Additionally the windows seem to be loose in their fittings and rattle ever time a door opens. I let the rental company know so hopefully all is fixed before the next renters stay. Note that there is no dishwasher and the walls are thin. HOWEVER, overall we enjoyed our stay as it is always a joy to be on Jekyll. As long as I have a place to wash up after a long day on the bike and beach, I'm happy. I just want to make note for future renters.

Reviewer Comments: The house needs LOTS of upgrading. furniture old and mismatched. walls scraped, kitchen counter had big chips. refrigerator rusted on the side. burners didnt fit the stove. couldnt plug sink to do dishes. House has no gutters and no roof over deck for sitting outside. bathroom needs updated. No light over front door for entering at night. Dishes and cookware very old. dining furniture mismatched and partially painted. A reputable real estate firm should not rent this out.

Relaxation at it's best!

Sitting out in the small courtyard for coffee or reading our books was so perfect and our little dog loved being outside with us. Watching all the wildlife was pretty awesome too. Hopefully we'll be able to stay here again next year.

The Perfect Size For a Solo Getaway & Pet Friendly!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the absolute perfect space for me and my 2 dogs! The small courtyard was great for cleaning up and de-leashing two dogs without worrying about them getting away from me. There was an outdoor shower and hose and the place felt nice and private. The shady patio was a highlight of my stay, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and reading in the evenings. Tile floors throughout make cleanup after sandy paws and feet a breeze as well. The property stayed very cool throughout the blistering days. Even though the facilities are decidedly "vintage" everything worked just fine. My last day was completely rained out but they had a Roku television that made streaming my favorite apps a breeze. Four blocks from the beach is an easy walk too! It was the perfect getaway at the perfect size!

Nice neighborhood- based rentsl

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you like staying out of the commercial area, this house has a perfect location, as it’s set a bit away from the hotel strip, but close enough to get to places easily. Though not super fancy or luxurious, it has every thing you need in terms of appliances, etc. Beds were comfortable, shower worked well. Laundry is in an attached shed and those appliances are def. old. There is an enclosed patio with chairs and a table- that was not part. inviting or well-developed.Do be aware that the company charges an additional $75 for linens and towels if you don’t bring your own (I drove, so I did)- and after an initial supplied one role of toilet paper and paper towels- you have to get any additional supply. Entrance and communication were smooth and timely. House was clean.We loved our stay on Jekyl island because there is so much to do and all the beaches are open to the public. From this house, even by foot, you’re on the beach in no time (a couple of blocks away). There are also some sweet deer that hang out in the neighborhood and just graze on the grass of the homes every evening- which really captures the pace and natural beauty of the island.

We found the property conveint to all our activities. Beds were very comfortable and appliances adequate. TV was somewhat hard to operate There were some minor things which should get some attention.

This property was just right for my husband and I. A great value. Nice quiet neighborhood. We saw lots of deer. Lots of changes to the island since we visited 10 years ago. Enjoyed the Beach Village shops. We will be back!

Great family vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time bringing the kids to the beach and we couldn't have asked for a better trip. Ariel West was exactly what we needed for our family of 4 plus our dog, and you can't beat the price. I liked that the lot is on the corner in a quiet neighborhood with a private patio, and a 5 min walk to the beach. The local deer and wildlife were so peaceful to watch. We went to a different beach on the island each day and also did an awesome fishing trip through Island Angler Charters. Highly recommend booking through Jekyll Realty, they are great to work with!

Old Smelly Barn In A Nice Neighborhood

The house smelled like an old, musky barn. Once we sprayed everywhere, put down carpet powder, placed the smelly blankets and pillows in a closet, and cleaned the dirty bath tub, it was tolerable. We also sprayed the ants in the yard. I did like the floor tiles and ceiling fans.
