Southold Soundfront Private Beach

Two bedroom PERFECT beach house located on a private beach. If you love the beach, fishing, swimming and sunsets in a quiet place, this is for YOU.
This is NOT a bluff beach. Walk right out the FRONT sliding door and you are ON the beach. Walk out the SIDE sliding door you are on the wrap around deck, with patio set barbecue grill, lounge chairs, and views in every direction. You can walk in either direction ON the beach for miles. Crystal sand, rocks, beach glass and glistening water around you. Public beaches require town parking permits which can quickly increase the cost of your stay at other non-beach front properties, but you don't need a permit since this is a private beach (no crowds, no restrictions).

One Bedroom has a full size bed, the other bedroom has twin bunk beds. Wrap around deck, with furniture on BOTH sides of house for morning and afternoon sun + beach chairs included. This house does have heat for cooler nights in Spring & Fall. Perfect for a long relaxing Summer, weekend get away, or family retreat. Really great fall fishing weekends, winery trips, pumpkin picking. Give us a call, you're going to LOVE IT !

All rates listed are for a family of 4 (2 adult, 2 children). There are additional charges for extra guests and these need to be confirmed and agreed upon at time of reservation. Please note that we are vigilant about the number of people renting the house. Sorry, not pets allowed due to guests with allergies.

Cannot wait to go back!!

The location is perfect near great restaurants, wineries, and the beach out the back door. The beach cottage had everything you could possibly need, incredibly clean, amazingly organized & views that went on forever. Gaelle was great and so accommodating. We will definitely be coming back.

Peaceful & relaxing

We enjoyed every second of the peace & quiet. Access to the beach couldn't be better. The cottage offers comfortable accommodations both inside and outdoors and the host is just wonderful

On The Beach

Bungalow on a private beach, very quiet. The perfect relaxing getaway. Close access to the village and wineries in the area. Also, great restaurants to choose from. We will definitely come back.

Rest and Relaxation

This is our third year staying at this lovely cottage on the beach. Very peaceful and quiet. Sunsets are gorgeous. If you want a time away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is the place for you.

Relaxation

We were looking for something where we could unwind from our jobs, just throw on our flip flops and sit in those amazing Adirondack chairs with a summer cocktail and stare at the ocean. This was the place, cute cottage with everything you would ever want, The cabinets are stocked with dishes and glassware, pots and pans even martini glasses! There is a large deck with plenty of seating options. The neighbors are spread a good distance apart from each other while the cottage sits back just far enough from the water.

Magical

What an amazing property. The most spectacular views that you could enjoy from both inside the home and while sitting on the patio. Also the house boasts a beautiful private space by the water. It’s a small home with everything a couple needs to enjoy the perfect beach town getaway. Gaelle is a gracious host who’s very responsive and accommodated all of our requests. Loved it!

Beach house of my dreams!

A friend and I stayed for 5 nights in July — wish we could have stayed the entire summer! It felt like stepping back into the ideal summers of childhood, carefree and easy-breezy, just the Sound and seabirds and sun and sky, right outside the door. The house itself has that perfect relaxed beachy feel, lots of windows make it bright and airy, with wide open views onto the gorgeous private beach. Often we were the only people on the beach, at the peak of summertime! We dined out a lot; plenty of great food and excellent local wine to be had. Morning coffee on the wrap-around deck cannot be beat. Gaelle was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Everything from check in to departure went absolutely smoothly. Definitely the best part of summer 2023 — we are longing to return next year, hopefully for a longer stay!

Paradise

Gaelle’s property in Southold was like heaven on earth! She was prompt in her replies to our inquiries. The property was well maintained and the cottage was pristine. Every amenity was available. The cottage is directly on the beach! Perfect location!! Sunsets were UNBELIEVABLE!! My family enjoyed a glorious beach front vacation. Our only criticism is that the 2nd bedroom with the bunk beds is really conducive for young children. The bedrooms are not air conditioned. We slept with bedroom doors open for this reason. The main unit worked extremely well, and with the doors open we were quite comfortable. However, we did have privacy concerns and our children were adult ages. A pull-out couch would have been a good solution. I would stay at Gaelle’s paradise property again, only without both of our children.

Peace and Serenity

This was our fourth stay at this lovely little house on the Long Island Sound. It is quiet and peaceful and the proximity to the beach is ideal. The sunsets are breathtaking. Gaelle communicates well and in a timely manner. Looking forward to returning in 2023.

A perfect spot for a perfect getaway

We stayed at the cottage in Southold for a week in late July and found it was just what we needed. A lovely, immaculate home, outfitted with everything necessary ; right on the water, offering delightful sea breezes throughout the day, but especially in the morning & evening. It’s a great area, beautiful & peaceful, for leisurely beach walks, good biking, and other excursions. The best parts were preparing dinner on the grill, setting the outdoor table, and enjoying the meal as we watched the gorgeous sunsets.

Beautiful location, lovely house

This is a beautiful property, very well maintained, and its location--right on the beach--can't be beat. You walk down a small boardwalk and there you are. The beach and neighborhood were quiet (we were there mid Sept) and there were times when it felt as if we were the only ones around. It's great for playing in the water, swimming, and beach combing. The house is the only has EVERY kitchen implement we needed. With 2 kids that don't like restaurants (age 4 and 7) we are big cookers. Everything we needed, we found--sheet pans, multiple knives and cutting boards, colanders and pots of various size, food storage containers, even muffin and pie tins. The host is lovely and made us feel very welcome. It's clear the house is dear to their family, and it feels special to be able to share their space. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We'll definitely be back.

Great Views

A great escape for a couple as there are only bunk bed options for the second bedroom. Views were spectacular especially the sunsets. We stayed third week of September so it was quiet and the weather was pleasant and comfortable. Best time of year for this region.

Fabulous beach getaway!

My husband and I stayed at Gaelle's place for a glorious 2 weeks! It truly was a dream to wake up and sit at the water's edge each morning. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful! Just what we needed. The sunsets were special. The North Fork is a special place!

A Beachy Time

My dream getaway

We rented the house for a week and it was absolutely perfect. Gaelle was very accommodating by letting us in to the house a little early which was so nice. The house is fully equipped with everything you need which is a real plus from chairs, towels, etc..The house is perfectly situated along my favorite beach where you can wake up, grab a to go cup of coffee and take a walk along the beach to find beach glass or watch the piping plovers. The sunsets on certain nights almost felt unreal by how beautiful they were. We also loved hanging out on the deck and having dinner at night. I would definitely go back and can't wait for a visit next summer!

Beautiful cottage right on the water

My husband and I spent a very relaxing week at this wonderful cottage. Gaille the owner was very welcoming and met us at check in to show us around. The sunsets on the deck were amazing and the home was perfect. Great wineries, restaurants, biking and kayaking. Would definitely come back

Fantastic property, location - Right on the Beach

Gaelle was a terrific host, actually meeting me at the property on day of check in. The house has a pull out queen bed on the porch that is very comfortable and lets you look out onto the beach. The house was immaculate and the Air Conditioning unit is superb. Thanks Gaelle!

Wonderful week by the Ocean

My family of 4 enjoyed our stat at this beautiful beach house! The owner was great and always answered all our questions timely and the amenities were excellent! The property was beautiful and with wonderful views. We loved spending time in the porch and the waterfront. Would definitely love to come back next year!
