The Space:

A stylish, modern two-storey home tucked peacefully into the trees at Lake Ōkareka - a lovely, tranquil spot for a family or a group. Downstairs there's a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining room, and a cosy lounge that opens onto decks on either side, so you can follow the sun or find some shade. There's also a laundry, a separate toilet and a garage on this level. Upstairs are the bedrooms and bathrooms. A heat pump and a wood burner keep the whole place snug, whatever the season.

Free parking on-site in the garage and the driveway.



Guest Access:

You'll have the whole house to yourselves - all three bedrooms, both bathrooms and the downstairs toilet, the kitchen, dining room and lounge, plus the decks on either side and the garage. It's a private, peaceful spot in the trees, with free parking on-site.



The Neighborhood:

Retreat on the Ridge sits in the tranquil, treed setting of Lake Ōkareka, one of Rotorua's prettiest small lakes - a peaceful, mostly-residential pocket that feels a world away, yet is only a short drive from everything. Blue Lake (Tikitapu) is about 5 minutes away and the Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest around 10, while central Rotorua - with its restaurants, geothermal attractions and Māori cultural experiences - is a 13 to 15 minute drive.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended out here, with free parking in the garage and on the driveway. By car, Blue Lake is about 5 minutes away, the Redwoods around 10, Te Puia and the city centre 13 to 14, and Polynesian Spa and Rotorua Airport about 15 to 17. Skyline and Zorb are roughly 23 minutes.



Other Things to Note:

The home has a cosy wood burner as well as a heat pump, so it's snug year-round. The lounge opens onto decks on either side, and it's a peaceful, private setting in the trees. Blue Lake and the Redwoods are both just a few minutes' drive away.
