Great views

Loved the location. Right next to the ocean. Very quiet and restful location. The only small thing was that there wasn't any parking at the property.

Great spot on the ocean

A beautiful property on the ocean. Great views. There was a sea otter on our patio and a pod of about 8 orcas right in front of the property.

This property has a front row seat for gorgeous morning sunrises and an amphitheatre of starry constellations. The suite has all you could need for an island stay. We loved it and hope to be back often.

Outstanding Views!

The panoramic views at this property cannot be beat! We saw sea lions, seals, and even a pod of dolphins swim by during our stay. Nothing beats an oceanside vacation! The suite was lovely, clean, and well-appointed. We hope to return.

Gorgeous

You will not want to leave this quiet spacious well-appointed suite with spectacular views. Eat in! as the kitchen is equipped for a chef. Watch sailboats, wildlife and amazing sunsets. We hope to return on our next trip West!

Otter Grotto

We spent a month of sheer enjoyment on Ten Mile Point in Otter Grotto. The vrbo was spacious and lots of natural light. The views from all the windows are stupendous and the water is ever changing. The king size bed is very comfortable . The property is near a trail system of short hikes through beautiful woods. This property is a gem.

Oceanfront condo in Victoria

Very nice, spacious, modern and well-appointed one-bedroom condo on water. Guests do need to be cognizant of the walls (and ceilings) not being very soundproof requiring careful and quiet handling of doors, closets and drawers.

Spectacular

Quiet, gorgeous neighborhood. Must be abulatory, as there are stairs to entrance. Only for adults as dangerous surroundings for children. We are quiet renters. Loud renters would not like this spot.

Stunning Property on the Ocean

I did not want to leave! This rental is right on the ocean. Beautiful deck and view from every room. Had my coffee on the deck watching the sunrise every morning. Was lucky enough to see two orcas swim right around the point. Only 20 feet away. Will be coming back.

Without screens on the windows or AC it was actually quite hot at the end of June. Other than that a lovely suite in a spectacular location.

Oceanside 10/10

This place is seriously gorgeous and is just as described. You can’t find something closer to the ocean than this which was a major selling point for me. We saw seals nearly every day of our stay as well as other wildlife and the stillness of being here was super nice. There really were no major cons to highlight, however, I could see how some particulars of sorting waste could feel overwhelming for some people as per waste management regulations in Victoria. There’s a lot of steps that need to be adhered to which can be confusing. Doing some cleaning before leaving is pretty typical when renting privately though so this was to be expected. The only thing that I would suggest is that while this place says it can accommodate 4, there aren’t full blinds for each of the windows in the living room which lets in a lot of light for anyone sleeping in this area. This isn’t a huge deal but some sort of blinds would be great to add. The couch isn’t the most comfortable sleeping area but it works for a short stay. Any issues were very minor and the rest of the place definitely makes up for it. I would absolutely return and hope to in the future when visiting Victoria.

Amazing property, frustrating procedures

This property has AMAZING views and is not too far from downtown Victoria in a nice neighborhood. That being said, we were disappointed in some aspects of this rental which we feel would be important for prospective renters to know. There are bug guts smashed all over the ceiling that don’t appear to have ever been cleaned up. A requirement of the facility was to wash the towels upon leaving. The home didn’t provide laundry detergent so we had to go out of our way to purchase detergent so as to avoid a cleaning fine. We left with the towels in the laundry as instructed, but were contacted about an additional fee that would be charged for staining them. We didn’t stain them, but us having placed them in the laundry before leaving meant that we didn’t see what they looked like after the wash. The towels were visibly worn when we had arrived at the rental and had faintly dark streaks on them. Furthermore, we were also informed that there would be an extra cleaning fee. Initially, we were told this was due to heavy staining on the bedding and the replacement of the aforementioned towel. When we disputed this and asked for photos, suddenly they acknowledged that the bedding was in fact not stained and the cleaning fee for the bedding turned into a cleaning fee for the towel (which they also asked for us to pay a replacement fee for). These fees were in addition to an already $200 cleaning charge we had to pay for the rental itself. Alone, each of these things would not have impacted our enjoyment of the stay. The 270 degree view of the water made up for any small complaints, but it does seem that this property management company wants you to both clean the property, charge you for cleaning the property you were required to clean yourself, and then still will scam you for “incidentals” you can’t refute after you’ve left.

First and foremost, we are very happy to hear that you loved the property. It is stunning and the view cannot be beaten. We appreciate your frustration in regards to the towels and laundry. These issues were discussed with you directly but to clarify: We do ask that our guests start a load of towels to give the cleaners a head start as laundry takes up the most time during a clean and a quick toss of towels in the laundry is always a welcomed gesture. This is not mandatory, but appreciated. There should have been laundry soap provided so there definitely was no expectation to go out of your way to get any. We do apologize that you felt obligated to this request, however. We have a reporting system in place to track the state of linens from stay to stray to ensure they are always in good standing condition. Any new damages that are discovered are reported and charged to the guest responsible for the damage. This is a standard procedure and we appreciate our guest's understanding and cooperation when these situations arise. Despite the concerns that arose during this particular stay, we hope to be able to provide a better overall experience to you at a future time. Thank you!
