In all of Newport Beach's oceanfront there are only a small number of blocks that are close to the water and not on the busy boardwalk. Every front-facing window in this extraordinary custom home is a framed beach scene, replete with changing waves, tides, sea life and beach life. You're never far from the salty air and the soothing sounds of the surf. This quiet picturesque location is still easily walkable to restaurants and nightlife.
The home sleeps up to 9 guests in 3 bedrooms, including a luxurious master suite, and features 2.5 baths.
As our primary residence, this is no ordinary vacation rental. When we travel, we share our home to provide a top-quality experience for our guests.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck as you take in views of porpoises, Catalina Island, and the endless Pacific Ocean. Spend your day soaking up the sun or exploring the famous 54th Street surf spot, known for its competitions and local pros. End your day with spectacular sunsets and fall asleep to the soothing sound of crashing waves.
Our home is in a safe, quiet neighborhood and has been part of our family since 1969. Rebuilt into a high-end custom residence 30 years later, it was newly remodeled in 2023. We provide everything you need for the ultimate beach experience: beach toys, chairs, blankets, and an outdoor space heater. Security is a priority, with Ring cameras at the front door and inside the garage, as well as secure entryways.

Had a fantastic time staying here. Weather was perfect and the place was adorable. There were a few issues but the owners addressed them and either fixed them or compensated us for the inconvenience. The views from the living room and master bedroom were amazing. I sat in bed watching the ocean every morning with a cup of coffee. So many fun things to do in Newport Beach. This house allowed us to bring our dog with was priceless. She loved sitting on the patio everyday. I had a broken wrist so could not enjoy the bikes, or some water sports but still had a great time. The house has everything you would need. It is honestly like being in your own home. The owners have thought of everything. I will be back to rent again!!!

Dream vacation

This house was by far the best house I’ve rented in Newport beach. It was directly on the beach, which was lively at times but mostly locals and a really calm vibe. The house was perfect with everything you needed. An amazing view and listening to the waves at night made it heavenly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend highly to anyone. Owners were great as well!

We would like to share our experience on a long stay about this property. When we initially made the inquiry, correspondence from the hosts was friendly and answered all of our concerns. The location of this “Artist’s Retreat” was central to where we wanted to be in Newport Beach. Retail to include restaurants, shopping, gym, bike and walking paths were all in comfortable range. The Taylor’s welcomed us upon arrival and were available when needed. They went above and beyond our expectations. The house is welcoming and spacious with incredible beach access, views and sunsets. We would consider returning as special memories will remain. Thank you, Paul, Halley and our cats.

Beautiful Oceanside retreat

I stayed at this gorgeous home, directly on the beach in Newport Beach for the month of Feb 2023. The hosts were so wonderful! The house was fully appointed and lacked nothing! I look forward to staying there again in the future!!

Exceptional in every way

We spent five weeks in paradise. The property is well appointed. You need nothing more than your personal items and food/beverages. The location is central to anything you’d need or want to do. Jennifer and Greg are wonderful hosts who make you fell like you are at home. Responsive, warm and friendly. We will return!

PERFECT SETTING for a fun and relaxing beach vacation!

If you are looking for the perfect location, then you can’t be this home. The location is A+, with the sand and surf right before your eyes from the living room, the kitchen and the main bedroom. We saw dolphins and whales, huge boats and the twinkle of Catalina island. The deck of the bedroom offers an especially nice view of the crashing waves and brave surfers. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. The home is interesting and quirky, with some nice art and sculptures and a truly impressive library of classic books--think the Iliad and the Odyssey, and a biography of Matisse in French. It definitely has the feel of a real home versus a sterile rental. The owners are nice people--earnest and responsive- and seemed to truly care about our experience. Because we use VRBO and AIR B&B a LOT, I think it is important to provide a thorough, honest review of every place we stay. No place is perfect and our visit was not without glitches. Apparently, the former guests with kids and dogs had extended their stay which might not have left enough time between renters. The cleaning staff was there when we arrived. This did not start our stay off on the right foot, but the owner did everything she could to rectify the situation, including sending in a second crew the next day -no charge. She also had some fresh bathmats & new sheets delivered, without our asking which we appreciated. I think if the owners had more time between guests, given how conscientious they were, they would have been able to evaluate the house a bit more closely, including checking to make sure everything worked—lightbulbs, appliances, etc. before new guests arrived. The carpet had stains on it, but the owners have plans to pull that out soon and put in flooring which will be awesome in this home! Favorites: GENEROUS supply of paper goods, well-stocked kitchen, 2 bikes we used every day, SONOS system outside on the deck. Suggestions: Enough time is needed between guests do a thorough check to make sure everything is ready and the place is clean. In summary, the beach access is awesome and the views are stunning. Easy access to the boat rental, grocery, lots of great restaurants, tennis courts etc.! With new flooring to freshen the place up, this place will be perfect next year when we come back! And, new floors would definitely make this a 5 star review.

Beach getaway with friends and fur babies

This was by far the best place we have ever rented. I have been renting beach houses for over 40 years and this one was in the perfect location. Views from beach house were unbelievable!!! The place had everything you would ever need, dishes, pots and pans, towels, trash bags, Extension cords, umbrellas, barbecue, chairs etc. Beds were comfortable and listening to the ocean from master retreat was fantastic. I loved reading on the patio while my dogs sat next to me. All the restaurants in the area where so good 😊. We went on boat rides, rented bikes for a week and walked to a lot of other places too. There is so much to do in Newport Beach and the surrounding areas. We did not want to leave. I can’t tell you how great it was to finally go on vacation after this pandemic. I literally loved every minute of my time at this beach house. My friends and husband thought this place was wonderful too. From golfing, to running, to pub crawling we could not have had a better time. Thank you so much to the owners and turnkey vacation rentals. Best experience ever!!

we stayed almost 2 months, everything was perfect. the setting, the attentions of Jennifer and Greg. we didn't want to leave again. we liked the house but mostly made two new friends. Beach Getaway

This home was amazing! I would highly recommend staying at this property. All you need to pack are your clothes and any food for your visit. The owners have thought of every essential for your stay. Beautiful views and close proximity to the sand. Restaurants and boardwalk within walking or biking distance. This home is very warm and welcoming, and the property owners were a pleasure and responsive to any inquiries. We look forwarding to staying here again in the future!

Our family has been blessed to own this spot of beachfront since 1969. Now, we are honored to share our fully rebuilt, comfortable and luxurious home with those wanting to visit this small corner of paradise.
It is a joy for us to hear the great stories of our guests which remind us of so many wonderful times playing on the beach, swimming and surfing with our family and friends (and hopefully grandkids soon)!
We split time between this home and another 20 minutes inland, and try to take advantage of all that Orange County, Newport Beach and the "California Riviera" have to offer.

This home feels like an upscale coastal residence because that's what it's always been. It is entirely unlike most other coastal rentals that cater to large groups of partiers who want to go wild for a week. We only allow month-long rentals, which is perfect for those who want the full opportunity to "live like a local". You'll stay surrounded by our artwork, quality custom furnishings, high end kitchen and appliances, crystal glass and stemware, extensive book collection and more.
Don't worry though, we are a short beach walk or cruiser ride from all the excitement of the boardwalk, fabulous local restaurants and harbor and pier activities

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We are in the middle of the best 10 blocks of coastal property in Newport for two reasons. First, we are closer to the water than nearly all of Newport's beachfront homes, many of which can hardly see the ocean. Second we on one of the few stretches of beach without a boardwalk directly in front of the house.
Tranquility, privacy & safety make for a perfect afternoon lounging on either the large downstairs deck or the upstairs "coffee time" deck with 180 degree views of the pier, Catalina Island, and the Palos Verdes peninsula.
Once you've relaxed a bit, join the often many sunbathers closer to the water, grab your family and friends and play some cornhole, volleyball and frisbee out front and then jump in the water to cool off (bravery sometimes required for this last part)!
