The Hive Vacation Getaway is designed to create a fun and safe stay. We recently did a renovation on this house to update it and make it nicer for guests. We want to accommodate and make sure every guest enjoys their stay. We have summered in OGT since my kids were born and they absolutely love it here. This house is a 2 minute walk from the beach. Ogunquit Beach is rated in the top 25 best beaches in New England! We have two kayaks and corn hole for fun backyard activities. There is wifi & ac included!

Wonderful place to stay

We had a great time at the Hive Unit B. The short walk to the Footbridge Beach made our outings to the beach easy. A very quiet neighborhood away from the busy main road. Has a private back yard space with a picnic table where we enjoyed our morning breakfast. Close to restaurants as well. We would definitely enjoy staying there again.

Mom/Daughter Beach Weekend

My mom and I loved staying at this property last weekend! While there were a few aspects of the house that were unusual (bedrooms upstairs but only bathroom downstairs, tv in a hard-to-see position, very low ceilings in the bedrooms), it was perfectly enjoyable stay. Having the washer dryer was really handy after coming back from the beach!

Thank you for leaving the flowers, they were beautiful. House is 60 years old and we did our best to improve it for modern day comforts. Wishing you a safe and healthy 2020

Week long family trip to the beach!

The hive is a cool spot within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and the trolly. Was a great place for my wife and I and our two young girls. We'll return next year for sure.

Perfect location

The hive B was just what we had hoped it would be! Small but perfect size for our family of 4 and the walking distance to Footbridge beach was perfect with our littles to come back for naps as needed. Clean unit with lovely updates and the back patio was well enjoyed when not at the beach. Also, laundry!!! Such a lifesaver having in unit laundry during beach vacations.

Perfect family beach vacation!

Location location! We stayed at Mellinda’s house for a family getaway with two kids (7 and 5) this is our 5th summer coming to the Maine area and we have yet to find the perfect place for beach/town location. We’be always been a little far from the beach, and with kids it’s a hassle. This location is 7 houses down from the bridge at footbridge beach! There was no stress of parking or getting up early to get there. Everyday we would pack lunches and park ourselves at the most clean and beautiful beach! The neighborhood was perfect for scooter rides, which the kids took for our evenings out to dinners and the town which is about 1.5 miles from the house. We even went all the way to Perkins cove with the kids on a scooters (45 mins) but with plenty of stores, restaurants and ice cream/candy on the route we had no complaints! Plus the trolley which starts running July 1 is right by the house! The house is clean and cute with a perfect blend of beachy decor, washer dryer (which is so good w kids) and Mellinda even has kayaks and bikes.. it was the absolute perfect stay! Mellinda was beyond the sweetest and so helpful and kind, to sum up… we have already booked next summer!!!

Perfect Location

Perfect for a family of four. Not huge but clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and much bigger than a hotel/motel room. Location can’t be beat. Two minute walk to Footbridge Beach. Walk to downtown in 20 min. Walk to numerous great restaurants (Angelinas, Beachfire, Hooks, Front Yard). Trolley almost at front door takes you all over town.

Magical spot by the beach

This spot cannot be beat! Going on vacation with two little ones you know there are going to be lots of breaks throughout the day. This spot could accommodate it all. Two separate floors allowed the little one to nap peacefully while the big was able to play downstairs. The distance to the beach is incredible. We were able to take frequent short trips to the beach or the bridge to look for crabs instead of being stuck at the beach all day. No need to to fight for parking because it was an easy walk. The walk to the beach should be minutes but with a toddler it was longer to allow for lots of chipmunk and bird spotting in the various neighbors yard. We absolutely loved this spot and cannot wait to come back.

What a lovely place!

We had an amazing experience, the place is terrific, newly renovated and well taken care of. Having the washer and drier was a big plus staying the whole week since things get dirty at the beach so quickly. The area is one of the best I’ve been, what a great beach. I would definitely recommend staying here with no doubt and will be happy to come back!

Great place, challenging host.

Great, clean place. Great location. It was really great until we checked out and the host asked us to pay extra to clean sand from the sofa and the shower (in a beach rental where we stayed for two weeks and paid for cleaning) and then accused us of stealing two pillows. She also wanted to charge us for a stained sheet (which we didn't stain) and to clean some iced coffee that spilled in the fridge. We've stayed in dozens of short-term rentals, are super clean and responsible, and have never encountered anything like this. I would have strongly recommended the place, but if there are other good options, I'd steer clear of this host.

Unfortunately I can not share pictures of how you left our home. Our cleaner who has been cleaning homes in Ogunquit for 15 years said she was very disappointed with the condition of the unit upon check out. You were our second guest after a 6 month renovation in which everything was brand new. We take extreme pride and care of our property and go out of our way to ensure our guests have a near perfect experience. We never said you stole anything but simply inquired about the two missing pillows.
