Outstanding home and location. The pictures do not do the view justices. It's other-worldly.Jeff was a great host. Really appreciated the great air conditioning as it was a very hot few days.Game room is legit. Great for kids (of all ages)!

Jeff was a terrific host. Always available and attentive to all of my needs. The house and its location could not have been more beautiful. There's so much to do in yhe summer. We went fishing and swimming at the community lake, visited multiple waterfalls, and of course enjoyed an amazing day on the Delaware River. I can't thank you enough. We left your home with many wonderful memories that myself, wife and kids will never forget.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the host was responsive and welcoming. The property felt safe and family-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The amenities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

Excellent Stay

Jeff’s house was beautiful. The views were breathtaking! He had everything we needed and was so accommodating before, during and even after our stay. We will stay again next year, without a doubt!

Great Place!

We loved having our holiday there this year. Plenty of room. Nicely decorated! Extremely clean. Owner went above and beyond from his communications to the little details in the house.

Love it

This house is a gem. Whether it's sitting on the deck or by the firepit enjoying the view and/or watching the eagles you can't miss. Close to the lake, pool, parks as well.

Perfect time

It was an outstanding property with a gorgeous view. Very clean house with sparkling kitchen appliances. The host was wonderful. Spacious house with everything you need to make your stay pleasant and relaxing.

I cannot say enough good things about this property and host. The views were amazing. The house was clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The host was very kind and responsive. Check out couldn’t have been easier. Would highly recommend.

The best birthday retreat I could've imagined

Exactly what I wanted for a celebration with family and friends. The views, the amenities - for a bunch of city folk, it just truly provided an ultimate exhale and I couldn't be more grateful. Jeff was always available to respond to any concern/question - spending each night at that fire pit overlooking the river and mountains, watching the eagles pass...bliss. Highly recommend!

Stunning!

We absolutely fell in love with this home! So comfortable and cozy and the view is absolutely incredible! The game room was a blast for kids and adults alike! We made s’mores by the fire and thoroughly enjoyed family time! Jeff was very responsive and a wonderful communicator. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Beautiful, comfortable, fun home

The view did not disappoint. It was gorgeous and peaceful. We appreciated the kind s'mores goodies and pre built fire in the fire pit. Easy to enjoy right away. The game room was even more fun than we thought it would be, providing hours of entertainment and laughs. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. We all had a lovely time here! Only feedback would be having maybe some more pillow options and a mattress pad on the one queen bed that was a little hard for our tastes. That's it though! Overall it is the best vrbo we have ever stayed in, truly!

Excellent vacation

My family and I wanted to thank you for giving us a chance to stay in this beautiful house. We've been coming to the Poconos every summer for the past 10 years and stayed in different communities. This house was by far the best house we ever rented and exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don't do the justice, the view is amazing, the deck is super comfortable. We spent countless hours over there. The house was very clean and well prepared for renters. My wife enjoyed cooking in a well stocked kitchen. The game room was a paradise for kids and even adults. If circumstances allow, we'll definitely come back next summer again.

Thanks for your very kind review! We love the treks decking as well--lots of room and no splinters! Since you visited, we added additional seating to the fire circle. Now, 11 individuals can tell stories, make s'mores, and star gaze all together!

Perfection!!!

We visit the pocono mountains every year for vacation. This was by far one of the best. The house has everything you need and more. The views are even more spectacular in person. The kids loved the game room and we had space for everyone. The kids enjoyed making s'mores at the firpit and I loved having my morning coffee on the deck. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home we did not want to leave. My granddaughter asked if we could stay there forever. Lol. I said I wish.

Wow! Perfect for the whole family!

Wow! Our stay at the Masthope View House exceeded our expectations (which were already quite high from the amazing reviews). Like others said, the view was even more phenomenal in person. Sitting on the rocking chairs or playing family games (there is a whole bookshelf of games/puzzles) out on the porch in front of that view will be precious family memories we will always remember! The house itself was beautiful, fully stocked, and meticulously clean. The arcade was super fun and entertained the whole family (toddler-teen) Jeff was extremely nice, easy to communicate with, and responded very quickly. He provided a detailed welcome packet that anticipated and answered every question we had. The Masthope community also exceeded our expectations. Between the lake/boating, multiple swimming pools, splash pads, mini golf, stables/petting zoo, sport courts (etc.), toddlers to teens and adults were again completely entertained. We were very sad to leave and hope to return in the future! Thank you, Jeff, for such a fantastic stay!

A little piece of heaven here on earth

Let me start by saying my husband and children were not happy we were going to the mountains in stead of the seashore this year. Good thing I am the one who makes the vacation plans. When we got to our destination, I was a little nervous the family would be disappointed. My husband and I arrived first and when we saw the view from the back deck, I knew it was going to be a good week. As I was texting my youngest son to see what their ETA was, he appeared on the back deck with a big smile yelling through the sliding glass door "this place is awesome!" That in itself is a testimony coming from a 15 year old. My oldest was right behind him giving me the thumbs up. The look on their face when they saw the game room was priceless. The house was very spacious and so comfortable. My 2 sisters and their husbands joined us for a couple of days, and the deck and fire pit were well used. The view pictured here overlooking the river is nothing compared to the sunrise. We got a lot of awesome pictures. So quiet and peaceful. The stars are so bright at night it seems like you can reach out and touch them. Our last day we had a visitor cutting through the backyard. It was probably the same black bear my sister and I saw when we were out walking. I highly recommend this as a vacation destination. My husband is already talking about going back next year. Thank you for opening you home to us. What a week we had.

Wow! Thanks for your kind (and really well written!) review. We'd enjoy having you return soon! The house is great for both adults and kids--we designed it that way as we have two kids of our own!. The kids can have fun either inside or outside, while the adults can relax while drinking vino on the deck overlooking the spectacular view. We've been told (by both locals and visitors) that we have the best view in the area (Masthope or otherwise). N.B. All of our reviews are from real paying guests. Unlike others, we don't have friends write fake reviews. Our house speaks for itself. We disagree with the three 4 star reviews we've received (two of the three were received when we first rented out our house and were getting our bearings), but feel all reviews are important because they bolster the legitimacy of the review process and give us vital feedback.

Communication with Jeffrey was seamless as was the check in process. He'd send emails of events that were coming up. It is a beautiful place and so relaxing. First vacation I didn't look forward to getting home. I highly recommend this vacation house.

Peace AND Fun, you can have it all!

The Masthope house is located within the Masthope community which offers beach/lake activities, pool use at the kid friendly (and grown up friendly) pool and tiki bar. There is also river access, horseback riding and petting zoo (which my 3 year old loved) and weekly activities that rotate throughout the year. But what makes this house stand out from the rest is the picturesque view from the entire backyard of the house. The house looks out onto the Delaware river and you can see the mountains in New York that create the most spectacular and peaceful view at all times of the day. You wake up to fog rising over the river and sit fireside at night to watch shooting stars. The property is quiet and offers all the amenities you could need. Our family enjoyed our stay from the 5 month old all the way to the retiree's. We highly recommend, and will be channeling that view as we return and adjust to reality!

All Around Wonderful!

What a wonderful experience we had staying at this property with a total of three families! The home is very clean and up to date, while including all the amenities need for a comfortable stay. The views were simply breathtaking with a large, upper deck off the dining/living room, a lower patio off of the tv room, as well as a firepit setup just steps down the property. The game room was so fun for our kids, which truly kept them entertained while back at the house. The owner was amazing and available for any questions we had along the way. We look forward to spending another vacation up there soon.
