Relaxing Oceanfront Retreat W/ Jacuzzi And Private Steps To Beach

Enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around deck in this elevated beach home at the edge of Davis Park. Panoramic views of the ocean, and Private Stairs to the beautiful sandy beach below. Open floor plan with lots of natural light. Enjoy the sunset from the roof deck with a glass of wine each night. Walk along the secluded beach to the national seashore, or learn to body surf at the fantastic surf break directly in front of the house. Rinse off after a beach day in the outdoor shower, and relax in the hot tub.

Less than a 10 minute walk to the Harbor Store (grocery/deli and snack bar) and to the ocean-front Casino Restaurant and Bar. Also, a 15 minute walk in the opposite direction to Watch Hill, Fire Island's National Seashore. Here you can discover the solitude of a seaside wilderness, and walk the nature trails throughout the extensive salt marsh. Watch Hill also has a smaller general store and restaurant.

Sleeps 8, has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a half-bathroom, and an outdoor shower. This house is great for families and has everything you need for a perfect Fire Island vacation: beach chairs/umbrella/games, outdoor grill with tools, hot tub, washer and dryer, supply of clean towels/bed linen, household supplies, extra dining chairs, and free WiFi.

Rent this Place for Amazing Family Vacation

I want to start off by saying that we already are planning our trip for next year. This is how wonderful our entire experience was with this house and the property manager. -THE HOUSE: Inside is Huge, never felt crowded even with the house at its max allowance. Every piece of furniture is strategically placed for perfect views, easy conversations. Even a nook where the TV is, which came in handy for those who wanted escape in quiet a little. So much attention to details. Games and books inside for family/down time. Modern kitchen, easy to entertain and cook. The AC in all of the bedrooms downstairs worked great! The upstairs never got unbearable since there is basically a 365 of airbreeze when you open the windows and doors. Well stocked with bath and beach towels and paper products. *OUTSIDE: just amazing. You can always find a shady spot on the deck or be right out in the sun! Amazing location, views of the bay and the ocean. So much outdoor deck seating options. More than you will ever need of beach chairs, umbrellas and TOYS! Kids sand toys, buckets, shovels etc. Footballs, baseball gloves. Kites. Not once did my teen and tween say they were bored! 10 minute walk on the beach in either direction to a life-guarded section of the beach. In front, on the private ocean beach area- breathtaking and clean. *A million places to wash off the sand so you never bring in more than a grain or 2 into the house. I can't say enough. Such a happy stay.

Family time

We were so impressed with our stay. Beth was a fantastic host, she made the whole process easy and quick. Our arrival at the home was amazing. There wasn’t anything left out that we would have needed! It surpassed anything we were expecting! The views were incredible, including the beautiful sunrises and sunsets! It was a family vacation to remember and we can not wait to go back!

Awe inspiring, breathtaking view

The pictures on Vrbo do not do this beauty justice. Large airy living room with breathtaking views of both the ocean and the bay. The beach access is easy and lots of fish off shore. One thing…. everything you need except food and toiletries is included!!! We most definitely overpacked! The beds were so comfortable. The house was clean, the jacuzzi had an issue which Beth was extremely prompt in trying to help with. The walk is not easy for an older person but the Fire Department accommodated us. I can’t wait to stay there again!! Beth was a very detailed and patient property manager who always responded quickly !! Thank you

paradise by the ocean side

my family and i were able to enjoy an extremely enjoyable ocean front week getaway at davis park. beth was so easy to communicate with and helped with any questions we had immediately . the house had everything you would need and more! highly recommend for anyone looking to get away for a week to paradise with their family. pack everything you need for food and drinks and you don’t even need to leave the house with the ocean at your fingertips.

Lovely time at the beach house!

My family (including my senior parents and young children) spent a lovely week here. The location is excellent, it felt like we had our own private beach! The house is well appointed for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, toys, towels) and the outdoor shower + hot tub are amazing. The only complaints are that the beds / pillows could use an update and that it could use a deep clean. However, even with these small drawbacks, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you especially to Beth Rose, the excellent property manager!

Great except

Great except stove burner’s not working properly, dishwasher broken, grill dirty and not working properly, and tv not connected to regular channels. Addition of air conditioning to bedrooms was an unexpected bonus.

Beautiful - Getting away from it all

Beautiful house - rustic feeling at the beach. Amazing that you can hop on the ferry and after a bit of an arduous trip - absolute heaven on the beach - nice, comfortable accommodations and a really great living room. Negatives- make sure you're okay with no AC at night, especially if its raining. For the price, I'd like to see some upgraded, comfortable beds/linens and a bit better cooking tools. Nonetheless, this did not take away from a great time. Caution for those bringing seniors - no AC and lots of stairs inside and out is a bit challenging. While the house is great for bringing dogs - they're safe, we found the cleaning crew to be a bit accusatory post exit. Beth, the property manager was fantastic. The dryer was broken while we were there -we fixed it for them. Overall, we really liked the house.

Amazing views

Don't pass up this house if you have a chance to be in it! You cannot beat the views that the decks have to offer. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen has everything to offer. And a dip in the hot tub was so relaxing. Beth was so easy to communicate with and was available to answer any questions. I will definitely be contacting her for future rentals.

Davis park stay

The house we stayed at was beautiful. We would stay there again anytime. Easily accommodated 2 families and had everything needed including beach chairs toys/games. Cart barbecue and hot tub were all clean and available. Beth did a fantastic job preparing us for the trip and checking in with us. I highly recommend working with Beth as she provided all the information and was available to answer any questions at anytime during our trip. Overall great experience.

Privacy!

Lovely house, very spacious and well-appointed, the kitchen was well stocked, plenty of dishes and stuff for a big group. Towels, linens, etc plentiful, clean and decent quality, could have used more beach chairs. The beach was beautiful, with very few people, which was important for our group. Beth was very responsive, helped figure out the wagon at the ferry and lockbox. Would definitely recommend with one caveat, if it’s hot there is no A/C, so be prepared to sweat. Early in the week it wasn’t a huge issue, great cross-breeze with windows open, later on in the week it got really uncomfortable, especially for sleeping. Packing up in the heat the last day was pretty miserable, an unfortunate end to an otherwise great stay!

Fantastic beach stay!

Such a beautiful home. One of the best beach houses we’ve ever stayed in. The open kitchen is perfect for a large group. The hot tub, the outdoor shower and the views were a major highlight! Thank you for having us!

Memorial Day Getaway

While the weather might not have cooperated for my friends and I to get out of the city, our Davis Park stay was close to perfect. This oceanfront property is a literal oasis with everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. Everything in the house was clean & organized and the check-in and out process was a delight. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We are a NYC raised family through and through. The "kids" have now gone their separate ways but we all return to the beach house each summer and it's as if we've never left. We are a very active family and very much enjoy physical activity during the day, followed by a dip in the hot tub, an outdoor shower, sunset drinks on the roof deck, and a large family dinner.

Bob purchased the pre-existing home in the 1970s. The original home was swept into the ocean in the Perfect Storm in 1991- pictures of the home hang on the hallway wall downstairs. The Ginsberg family rebuilt on the land and have resided in the current home every summer since.

It is the second to last beachfront house on all of Fire Island. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the top floor allow sunlight to pour through the home during the day, and moonlight to shine through in the evening. The house has the tallest roof deck in the community which allows for unobstructed sunset views!
