This semi-oceanfront home is situated on one of the best lots in Whalehead Beach just steps across the street from the beach access. You'll enjoy ocean views and gorgeous sunsets over the sound from both the decks and interior rooms. When you're not at the beach, the home comes complete with all the amenities to make your vacation fun and relaxing including a swimming pool and hot tub, game room with pool table, spacious backyard for grilling, volleyball court, basketball goal and is a short distance from water sports, golf, fishing, shopping and restaurants.

Ground Level: There is a Queen room, a full hall bath and main bedroom with 2 Singles. In the game room there is a pool table, a full refrigerator and a comfortably furnished sitting area with TV. These areas are accessible to the large yard and swimming pool.

Mid Level: Has a main bedroom, 2 main bedrooms, a main bedroom with 2 Duobunks, a laundry room and access to deck that overlooks pool area.

Top Level: The great room has a fireplace, 52' TV/DVD, Blu-Ray and HD cable service w/ surround sound. The kitchen is equipped with 2 dishwashers and breakfast bar. The dining area offers sunset views. There are also 2 main bedrooms, one with a large garden tub. A half bath rounds out this floor.

Amenities: Private Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Gas Fireplace, WiFi, 9 TV (52' Flat Screen in GR), 5 DVD, CD/Stereo, 2 Refrigerators, 2 Dishwashers, Basketball Goal, Volleyball Court, Baby Items: Port-a-Crib, High Chair, & Baby Gate, Pool Table, Unlimited Free Long Distance Calls w/in the US. Beach Access: 25 yards.

THINGS TO KNOW
For January and February bookings, please contact the property management company to ensure the hot tub is available.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.
Fireplaces are available from November 1st through April 1st.
This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC
The private pool is open from May 1st through October 15th. Pool Heat is available upon request at $80 per day. You can contact guest services and add the pool heat to your reservation. Please provide at least 72 Hours advance notice. Pool heat is not available in July and August.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.
2 days notification is required in order to heat the pool. A fee of USD 30 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool heat for your stay.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Seas The Day over July 4th week

We had a very nice stay at this property. There are some areas that could use an upgrade, but overall the house was spacious, comfortable with nice views and decks and a great location. It would be nice if they added some better pool furniture (plastic and cracking), replaced the downstairs fridge/freezer and added a gas grill. The pool and hottub were great (the hot tub is a little smaller than others where we have stayed, but comfortable sat 5 people). The downstairs fridge was not working when we go there, but communication with Vacasa was WONDERFUL and someone came out first thing the next morning and fixed it for us. The kitchen pots and pans were not great - some cookie sheets and cutting boards could be added, as well as serving bowls, but we were able to get by with what they had. There is two dish washers and two clothes washers and dryers which was a great addition to out trip! Overall - we would recommend and return to Seas the Day.

Could be a nice house

No dishes were clean or they were broken .We had to wash EVERYTHING be for we used it !!! The toaster hasn't been clean since it came out of the box it was absolutely disgusting!! There were shoe inserts from previous guests still on top of the tv stand. Also, there were nails, roofing nails all over the place all over the decks all over the pool area and in the pool , one of the guests stepped on one and bled all over the pool area. I have pictures to prove it. At some point a charcoal grill was installed and it wasn't installed correctly, we had to reset it cause it would have fallen over while using it .A few beds were not even made up and their was a pile of broken sheet rock on the top deck . Draws in the fridge were broken. .The pool area was great and the beach is right across the street. Great location

Multi generation family vacation

The house has solid structure and great bones—it holds tremendous potential to become something truly amazing. During our stay, the weather was hot and humid, yet all three floors remained comfortably cool with the air conditioning set at 72 degrees. We were very grateful for the strong and efficient cooling system. One standout feature was that most of the bedrooms had their own full bathrooms—a rare find in homes at this price point. That’s something you typically see in higher-end beachfront properties, so it was a very welcome surprise. However, if you’re considering renting this home, be prepared to bring some basic necessities that are often included in other vacation rentals. There were no hand towels or washcloths in the kitchen, and none of the bathrooms had toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, or even a blow dryer. It felt excessive to have to purchase a blow dryer on vacation—this is something we believe should be standard in every full bathroom. The kitchen was also under-equipped for a house that accommodates 12 people. We had to get creative with utensils, and the selection of pots, pans, fry pans, and large serving bowls was very limited. Unlike many other rentals we’ve stayed in, there were no leftover pantry basics—no spices, seasonings, or even salt and pepper. The in-ground pool was lovely and well-maintained. That said, be aware that it receives almost no natural shade throughout the day. In peak summer sun, this can be intense, especially for those with fair skin. Bring your own shade solutions if you plan to spend time outside. One area that really stood out as a missed opportunity was the absence of a Welcome Book. In every other vacation home we’ve rented, the owner or property manager included a guide with useful information—trash pickup schedules, pool and lawn maintenance days, restaurant recommendations, local activities, and beach equipment rental services. Even a simple QR code linking to a digital version would’ve made a big difference. It’s a small detail, but one that significantly improves the guest experience and shows thoughtful hospitality.

Great location

House couldn’t have had a better location. Pool and hot tub awesome! Great layout. House could use some updates and attention , but it was clean. Code didn’t work upon arrival but rental company very responsive.

Great home for family reunions

The third floor is very sunny with an ocean view. Beach access is very easy. The door code that we initially received did not work, but a representative corrected this quickly by phone.

Nice but needs some updates

The house was very nice, spacious and we enjoyed our stay. Reading reviews prior… we prepared by bringing some extra items from home that we were concerned would not be available… other areas that were inconvenient…. the twin bedroom-the toilet would not flush properly, tried to fix several times, so was not able to use it all week. … the bedroom TVs only had Roku hookup and the WiFi was poor so you could not watch tv in bedrooms… only main TVs. Minimal kitchen utensils, the refrigerator in game room would not get cold and the outside hoses all had holes so it was difficult to hose off after beach… a big concern was the door codes were not working … had to reset several times and had to have someone come out to fix. The house was spacious. The air in house was great! Always nice and cool. Located directly across from beach access so great location. Pool was kept up Very well!

Floor and Flies

We loved the pool the size of the house and the location!!! We did not love that the clearer was stil at our house after we were told we could check in after 4. She was pushing a swiffer around the floor with NO cloth on it. And then she was there until 5/30 standing in the driveway waiting for a ride. We had a 1 year old with use and the floors were filthy. We had no broom, or working vacuum. As for the flies, all outside garbage cans were full, there was food theown in the backyard (chicken wings, crab shells and watermelon rinds) gross. The cleaning person did make a half hearted attempt to pick them up. I requested a broom at least for the floors, bought swifter sheets and bleach to try and get rid of the flies. Place could use a good deep clean!!! Pool and hot tub were actually well maintained.

Run down and unacceptable

There were 2 stacked washer/dryer units in the house. Neither dryer worked. One was just dead and the other made a noise that would drive you out of the house. I called Vacasa within 24 hrs of check-in and explained the situation. Every day I called or texted them again. No response from any local repair shop. We had 8 people and 5 days without a dryer. With no way to dry our clothes we couldn't use the washers either which was totally unacceptable. I will never use Vacasa again. In addition, the oven didn't work properly, most of the TV remotes had dead batteries, one of the dining room chairs was ready to collapse and unsafe to sit on, there were hardly any drinking glasses, no dish towels and a bunch of the ceiling lights were dead. It was a big disappointment to say the least.

Terrible Maintenance - No Follow up or care to.

Vacasa needs to be fired or Homeowner needs to pay attention to all the repairs. ZERO FOLLOW UP. Leaks and zero competence to fix Broken washer for weeks and probably still broken dishwasher \ half use of fridge no shelves blood on sheets sand in sheets tv's missing tv's not loading weak wifi or old tvs so much more. They were advised by multiple weeks of tenants. Made no difference I AM PURSUING SOME REFUND YOU SHOULD TOO if problems we all had. Really unfortunate. House is in an amazing location and has good bones. Need to go back to a local realtor with quality control and owner involvement.

Great location, plenty of space. Cleaning could've been better....trash found under and behind furniture from previous guests. Also could use many minor repairs.....loose/broken fixtures throughout, doors needing new hinges (our niece got locked in her bathroom from inside), etc. Wouldn't have minded those things but for the price we paid, were expecting better.

Great location

The house is right across from the street from a beach access making walking to and from the beach incredibly easy. The house itself is plenty roomy when at capacity. Outside offers a great pool area plus the yard makes a great area to hang and let kids run around.

Great Location!

Great location and proximity to beach access! House could use a great deal of updating and repair! Beds could be more comfortable, but can't beat the price for an 8 bedroom rental!

Great house - a few issues

Great space for a large family reunion! One of the dishwashers was never fixed after 5 reportings however the main tv died and was replaced the next day which we greatly appreciated. Needs a thorough cleaning-bug spatters on walls and several beds were broken.

Seas the day

The location was perfect, although a bit crowded near public beach access. The kitchen had limited supplies making it difficult to prepare food for your large group( we got creative). There were also only 2 beach chairs, so you will have to rent those if you like sitting on beach. The bedrooms were comfortable, the pool and hot tub were clean. The yard with volleyball was very nice. If you like being close to the grocery store, it’s great .

Great Location!

Location was great, walked out of house and right to beach access, nice pool area and we were able to use the pool and change in outdoor shower before we got into the house. Plenty of room for our group. House was clean except we found a bowl and kitchen pot with popcorn, water bottles and a condom under one of the beds in the downstairs. We would stay here again because so close to the beach.
