Now available as a 5 bedroom, private rental (for all NEW reservations requested/confirmed after 3/9/24). This quintessential Topsail beach cottage has undergone a massive renovation. The result? A magical oasis you'll want to return to year after year. We could not be more proud or excited to share her with you. All new furniture, new appliances, new lighting, new plumbing fixtures, new HVAC, new stainless steel grill, three refrigerators, bikes, beach chairs and more!

Here are some of the things we know you’ll love about this property:

Nine One Nine has two completely separate living spaces. Each boasts comfy beds and cozy furniture along with a well equipped kitchen. They are both kept spotlessly clean and are always well maintained. The property was thoughtfully designed and decorated with bright indoor spaces and outdoor places to read, relax, catch some rays, soak up the sun and spend some quality time away from reality.

PLEASE NOTE: Upstairs and downstairs are separate spaces and are not connected by interior stairs. Upstairs has 4 bedrooms (K, K, Q, bunk) and 2 bathrooms (tub+shower and shower only). Downstairs you'll have a bedroom (K) and a bath with a tub+shower. The living room has a sleeper sofa.

The private beach access is right across the street. You'll love having easy access to groceries, restaurants, bars, shops and loads of activities.

Never been to Topsail before? This house sits on what we lovingly refer to as the “Golden Mile”. This is the PERFECT spot for your vacation!

Two driveways are available and can accommodate a total of 5 cars.

We love to travel and we know what it takes to give our guests a 5 star experience. Come relax at the beach and enjoy what makes this home the ideal vacation destination.

The private pool is kept at 86-88 degrees during Spring and Fall and is a favorite feature for our guests.

This is our 4th rental property. We take pride in our 5 star rentals and the fact that we are consistently ranked at the very top of the market. With hundreds of positive reviews and repeat renters over the years, we know what makes a great vacation. You're going to love this house and this location.

Very convenient to beach and sound. Cute, comfortable house. Loved the pool. Landscaping made everything feel very private. Kids loved the bikes and it was lovely to have beach chairs and boogie boards provided. I enjoyed brushing up on my Frogger skills.

Phenomenal experience. Great location with beach access right across the street. You can walk there in 10 seconds. The pool was incredible and the landscaping made the privacy perfect. Beds were super comfortable. Downstairs shower was epic… felt like a firehose hitting me. Outstanding. The first level is totally private and segregated from the upper level so your kids or friends can have upstairs while the parents can be peace and quiet downstairs. Decks were awesome. Kitchens had almost everything you needed or could think of. What a home run 919 was

Great stay at surf city!

House was great, clean, and came with nice amenities like bikes and the beach cart and chairs. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, and if you’ve been to surf city, you already know that the beach is world class. We enjoyed finding sharks teeth on the beach and playing in the shallow waves with our young children. The house was enough to house six adults and a few kids comfortably. The pool is a little small, but it was nice to soak in while the kids are napping! Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly rent this house again in the future.

Home away from home!

Super easy to check in. The home is very nice with room for everyone. We live the pool and the downstairs unit was great for my mom and step dad to have their own space. We LOVE this house. The kitchen is well stocked.

Best property ever!

I am actually hesitant to review this magnificent property, because we want it to be available for our future stays! We have been coming to Topsail for the past 20 years and have stayed at many beautiful properties, but this one takes the cake! We had 9 family with us, 7 teenagers/young adults and my husband and I. The upstairs was perfect for all of the “kiddos”, and for making breakfast every morning, dinner, and gathering to watch love island after a long day at the beach. My husband and I enjoyed having our own space downstairs complete with the Galaga/Pac-Man machine :). The pool and landscaping was magnificent, and the beach was just a hop skip and a jump from our property. It was private, clean, beautifully decorated, convenient to all the shops and some of our favorite restaurants. By far, the best property in topsail!

2nd Great Trip/Same Location

We had another lovely trip to Surf City and we were even able to share our experience with family that has never had a beach vacation. We love the upgrades from last year and the owner really does an amazing job keeping the property looking amazing! The pool was great for morning and evening swims, especially for the kids. We definitely miss it already!

Family Time

This house is very comfortable for a variety of ages. The beach is a short walk, the house is very private with beautiful landscaping and the pool provided hours of enjoyment. We had 3 family groups and the bedroom setups were exactly what we needed so each family had their own bathroom and “wing”. The two levels are nice to be able to spread out more.

Our family had a blast during our stay in Surf City! The house was clean and comfortable, the beach only a short walk, and lovely landscaping provided privacy around the pool area. We met so many friendly people and our thoughtful host during the week. It was our first trip to Topsail and we hope to return in the future!

Great house.

The house was close enough to the beach for an easy walk. But not on the beach which with toddlers was not a bad thing. It was also very well appointed. We didn’t have to shop for some basics as they were provided.

Best location!

This was a great vacation. All aspects of it. The location is fantastic when walking to the beach. It’s pretty much in your front yard. It was super clean, and this is a huge factor for myself and my family. They take pride in their property and it truly shows. The pool was wonderful. The crazy thing is that we didn’t notice many private pools in the area, so this was a great find. This house totally deserves its high ratings!! We will definitely be back!

Excellent location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The location is excellent, close to everything you need and the beach access is right across the street! The house is clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable, and the pool is so refreshing. We love Topsail Island and we would definitely choose this property again!

Perfect for our group with young kids

The property was so nice! It was clean, well furnished, well equipped, modern, and comfortable. The pool was awesome, and the house was so close to the beach, it was easy to go back and forth whenever we felt like it, even with little kids. We also loved that the deck/porch spaces were in good condition with built-in, latching gates, so we had a safe outdoor space for the youngest kids to run around. We'll definitely be back!

Beachy week

This beach property met all of our seaside needs. The property was well-appointed and was in a great location on the island, close to morning breakfast, iced coffee, and evening ice cream. The beds were comfortable and the home was sparkling clean upon our arrival. It was a very hot and humid week, and the home was a cool respite from the outdoors. The front porch was also a welcome shady spot to read and relax in the afternoon. It was a very short walk to the beach, in fact it was close enough that we did not need to use the beach cart. The lights in the pool at night were a fun surprise for the children. The washer, dryer, and extra (huge) refrigerator in the downstairs storage area really made our week easy. Thanks for a great week!

Great escape to the beach

The place has a great setup with 4 bedrooms and the living area in between. The centerpiece has to be the pool which provided days of fun for our kids and family. The other thing this place has is, Shade. After hours at the beach you want to be able to relax by the pool but also get some shade. It has a nice area that is shaded as well as two big porches that provides tons of shade and plenty of seating options. Last but not least, they have a nice cart to help get your herd down to the beach without braking your back.

This property was “far and away” beyond what was expected. There wasn’t a single thing that we needed that wasn’t provide. The kitchen contents included all of the necessities as well as spices, cookbooks, & sharp knives…a rarity in our beach rentals in the past. Stepping out the door and across the street to the private access with no car or parking involved was a luxury. The pool was such a special amenity in a very well landscaped setting. The owner’s have done everything possible to ensure you will have a wonderful week, and my family certainly did.

Beautiful house, w/gorgeous pool and outdoor oasis

The house was amazing! Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Love the original beach cottage vibe, perfectly updated with every amenity, beautiful finishes and art. We had a great stay with family and loved hanging out by the pool. The outdoor area was really lovely and had plenty of sun and shade. Bedrooms were spacious and airy with comfy beds and linens. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and appliances were clean and new. My nephews got plenty of use out of the bikes and the property is in a great location close to town, shops, food and the pier. The owners incredibly nice and super responsive. We will absolutely book this house again!!

Great vacation house

Our family had a wonderful time here. Great proximity to the ocean. Beautiful decks and a warm, heated pool! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Way to Experience Topsail Island

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our month-stay in this lovely updated beach cottage. While the beautifully landscaped (and heated!) pool is the highlight, we also enjoyed the short walk to an uncrowded beach (and marsh, offering great sunset views on a long boardwalk), a large and comfy front porch, a welcoming great room with lots of daylight, and ideal location on a quiet street convenient to Surf City’s fine selection of locally owned restaurants. Tay and Becky are terrific hosts, prompting responding to our questions and requests.

Becky & Tay have been locals on the island as a couple since the early 1990's. Tay spent his summers across the street in an oceanfront house. We know the island very well and have chosen our properties to provide the utmost in relaxation and fun!

This property is special to us for many reasons. Originally the house was an oceanfront cottage that was a few lots to the South of our family's summer home. Back in the early 1970s the housing density was much less and we remember it as being one of the few houses on South Shore Drive. When it was moved to it's current location in 1987, it was placed on an extra large corner lot. Combine the large lot with private beach access directly across the street and we couldn't pass this up. Nearly 10 months of renovations and a lot of blood, sweat and tears have made this a house we dearly love and know you will, too!
