Finger Lakes Farmhouse Home, Dog Friendly, Close to Hiking, Wineries and more

Escape into the country while still being close to all that Ithaca and the region has to offer. Our newly renovated farmhouse is just 6 miles from downtown Ithaca & Cornell, 3 miles from Ithaca College and 2 miles from the Finger Lakes Trail.

After a day exploring the local hiking trails, wine region, nearby restaurants, Cayuga Lake or Buttermilk Forest return to our spacious and peaceful farm style home. We feature a fully equipped updated kitchen, cozy common area and relaxing master suite.

The home has a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a big window overlooking the original barn from the farm. We also feature a second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and our 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds. A crib can be added upon request.

The whole house has plenty of natural light and scenery. Each sunset is unique and provides endless inspiration. Guests will enjoy sipping on their morning coffee while gazing out at the fields on the front and back of the house. Frequently we will a have of deer grazing in the fields.

Check-In:
We feature a self-serve check in process. A few days before your arrival you will be provided with a code to access the property.
Wifi: High Speed complementary wifi is provided
A smart TV is included during your stay for you to use with your personal streaming services.
A full washing machine/dryer is also located on the premises.
A Keurig Coffee Machine is provided

This is a wonderful property in a nice country setting. Lots of room in the backyard to let the dogs run. The house was beautiful, clean and very cozy. Very well stocked. Host was very responsive to a question. Would love to stay here again. Highly recommend

Very nice home which was filled with plenty of good information on what to do in Ithaca. We had everything we needed and check-in was super easy. There were dog treats and water bowls ready for the dogs and a big dog bed for them to use. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Ithaca!

Great Family Location

Everything was clean and as listed. The beds, pillows and linens were comfy. Getting out by 10 am was a little rushed, 11 would be a less hectic way to end a fabulous trip. We all said we would stay there again. Thank you!

This location was very clean and comfortable for me and my 4 other family members. We attended a family wedding in Ithaca. The house served us well for the weekend. I loved that there was a water filter pitcher in the fridge!

Nice stay in Ranch style Home

Bring your 4 wheel drive car and snow boots! This property will not allow for cancellations for any reasons, even half a foot of snow. And expect to shovel the long driveway and 12+ stairs. Property is further than we would have liked from any good restaurants and grocery stores. The home had good heating with a nest thermostat. Black out curtains were perfect and the beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows and appropriate blankets. Good amount of kitchen items with plenty of space to cook and eat. Fridge is completely empty, but clean. There are cob webs and fire wood debris by the modem and fireplace. There was dog hair on the rug and the master bed blanket.

Fall getaway

We set out for a laid back long weekend and that’s what we got. The fall colors cooperated, we hiked , visited the Farmers market and had great food and cocktails. The house allowed us to be close to things but also out away from the hustle of the main city.

Beautiful and cozy home in a peaceful oasis

I could absolutely live in this house. It’s so beautiful, well-decorated, and cozy. You truly feel like you’re in the country, yet downtown and the city core are just a few miles away. Seeing rabbits in the backyard was pretty cool! And relaxing at night on the comfy couch watching outside and listening to the peace and quiet after work was just wonderful. My parents and our dogs loved it too. Kristina is an awesome host, and her communication and kindness did not go unnoticed. I’d definitely rent from her again. My only note is that the picture of the front yard didn’t show how steep it is and how many steps there are - just sharing that if you have trouble with mobility. All in all, this house was amazing, and I highly recommend it.

Peaceful Country Vacation Home

This farmhouse is in a peaceful, quiet country setting where you can see bunnies in the backyard and deer in the fields. It is clean and spacious, and well-appointed. Though the farm feels remote when you are there, you are actually close to all that Ithaca has to offer. It is close to two universities and downtown, as well as all of the favorite gorge hiking trails, parks, and lakefront. It is also a reasonable ride to renowned Finger Lakes Wineries. The ideal location for all the area has to offer!

Perfect Location

We enjoyed the location which was close to several parks and waterfalls. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife - deer, rabbits and chipmunks. It felt like a home away from home where we could relax after a hectic day visiting family and friends in the area.

Country farmhouse get-away

Very welcoming, open home, love the fireplace and sectional sofa, it was a wonderful place to relax. Also loved the dining area, wish we would have had better weather to enjoy the fire pit and patio!!!

Family Reunion

My family and I were able to spend some time together as we all met in Ithaca. This house was a great place to sit and talk and play games and eat several meals together. We also enjoyed the snow. Thank you for a great weekend.

Lovely & cozy home

Everything about this house was great! The house was clean, comfortable & nicely furnished. Location is just 10 min from downtown Ithaca (many good restaurants & shops) & nearby hiking trails. Our dog also loved exploring the large front & backyard (including a fire pit & grill)…we had a fantastic stay & would definitely rent this property again.

Our family of 4 plus our crazy pup are avid hikers and trail runners here in Ithaca, NY. We love to explore new trails and continue to be amazed at how beautiful Ithaca is. Gunderman Farm is located just a few minutes from the famous Finger Lakes Trail, Buttermilk Falls and Treman State Park. We have amazing restaurants that are short drive to town. Ithaca is Gorges! My husband and I live 5 minutes away and are available as needed.

We are close enough for a short trip to town but far enough away to relax without the stress of the city. Our property is located on 4 acres with farmlands directly across the street. Enjoy the magnificent night sky as you sit around the fire pit and catch one of our magnificent sunsets.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of the garage. We have a washer/dryer in the basement of the house that is available for use.

The house is on well water, which is completely safe to drink. Because of the natural minerals in the area, you may notice a light sulfur smell at times. This is quite common with wells in this region and is simply a natural characteristic of the water.
