Located on the Patuxent River, this secluded three-bedroom, two-bath hideaway offers a peaceful waterfront escape with river access just seconds from your door. Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway or a place to gather with friends and family, Hideaway on the Patuxent provides the perfect setting.

Children are welcome and may enjoy the property during your stay. Please note the pool is located behind the main house, approximately 100 feet from the guest house.

Swimming, fishing, and crabbing in the river are permitted but are done at your own risk.

Hideaway on the Patuxent is also available for small gatherings and events. Event use of the property is separate from guest house accommodations and must be arranged directly with the host. Additional fees and guidelines apply.

The host was readily available. One of the fire places were out of order. The fire pit was working well. We overall had a great time during our stay. I liked the arrangements of the rooms, they provided space for everyone.

Great place

Got to go fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the pool. Had a great time, views are wonderful and it’s a peaceful environment. 10/10 would stay again.

The hideaway

Very clean and peaceful place to stay. We really enjoyed being able to use the pool. The view of the water is nice. I would love to return just for a relaxing weekend.

Great Getaway

Many activities and fun to be had. Spent a ton of time at the pool and down at the pier. Kids loved it all.

Girls getaway weekend

My girlfriends & I had such a great time regardless of tropical storm Olivia. The house was clean, quaint with deer in the field every morning, and we stayed dry inside. We didnt get to use the pool but were still able to enjoy our weekend away

Nice and beautiful

House Lot space and amenities just 2 points don’t like Swimming pool not close and is share pool not totally private and secondary internet is so slow and bad for raining days enjoy movies no way stop streaming every minute

Thank you for your review and for bringing the internet issue to our attention. I would ask that in your future VRBO stays that you thoroughly read the description before booking as there is often information in the description that may be helpful such as our pool being shared and on the property behind the main house. In the description, we also inform guests that if they want private time at the pool, we are happy to accommodate those requests. Also, I recommend bringing issues such as the wifi to your host's attention immediately. After your review, we reset the wifi and resolved the problem. We could have resolved this during your stay had we known about the situation.

Great getaway!

We chose this place because of the proximity to the bay & several state parks. We wanted a pool and though this house was a little off the beaten path, it was perfect for what we were looking for. Great experience overall, excellent host(s) and incredible people. Power went out due to SEVERE thunderstorms and the host was VERY proactive in solving the issue & offering LED lights, etc, despite it being an act of God. Power was on in an hour but he was still a hero for braving the heavy rain to come check on us, etc. Very clean, lots of wildlife and impressive setting!

Relaxation and Relaxation

My party and I had a wonderful time ! Absolutely no complaints at all. I loved that the property set by itself ( the owners home is right across), but besides that it’s very quiet. It’s in a very convenient location, where if you drive 10 minutes up the road, everything is close by (gas station, multiple food options, the gym [planet fitness], drug store, etc. If you check in late at night like we arrived, it’s very dark on the road , so drive carefully 😊 We can’t wait to schedule again for next year !!!
