Enjoy this home away from home! Gorgeous kitchen, nicely appointed living areas, with dining table for 6, in addition to eat-at kitchen island. The furnished screen porch with table and comfortable seating for 4, is perfect for dining or playing board games. A private deck for relaxing and lounging. Just a quick and easy walk to the beach and community pool, and this cottage even has an outdoor shower to wash the sand off your little ones after a day at the beach.

The bedrooms were a little smaller than expected, but fine nonetheless. Walk to the beach and pool were as expected and an easy distance. The island needs to offer more on island dining choices and needs beach refreshment options. Only private resorts seemed to offer anything but only for their guest.

Thanks for taking the time to post this review. Future guests should understand that they are welcome at all of the Kiawah Resort restaurants on Kiawah. There are more than 10 dining options on the island and even more at Freshfields Village and Bohicket Marina. The only restrictions are our guests can not use the Resort pools or snack bars. Our guests can use the Sparrow Pond community pool that does not have a snack bar. Kiawah is a 10 mile long private beach - most guests love playing in the ocean or going on long beach walks or biking down the sand. There are no snack bars or "beach refreshments".

1057 Sparrow Pond is a wonderful cottage in the West Beach area of Kiawah. We've stayed in this area before and this is has been the best place we've stayed at by far!Fantastic all around and we loved the kitchen and living room. Super family-friendly place with the twin beds for the kids. We rented bikes through Alligator Bikes which you can get a discount code for by booking this property. The private pool for the neighborhood that you have access to is a 1-minute bike ride, and the beach entrance is just up the street from there, so we love how easy it is to go from the cottage to the beach/pool and back. And if you are a golfer, another bonus is you can literally walk down the street to the Cougar Point clubhouse. We'll be booking this place again for sure!

All went well….sighted some cockroaches and that was a little troubling. Pest control came and treated so ….. it’s a nice place and I’d rent again. Thanks

We look forward to your return! Future guests should know that we have this cottage treated monthly by the exterminator. Kiawah Island is a maritime forest and every so often a bug or two might make their way into the cottage. However, we can usually get the exterminator out the very next day. We work hard to make our guests' vacations bug free. Please check out the 5 star review from our guest on August 2, 2026 :)

The updated kitchen made staying in for some late night dinners a joy. The cottage was clean and we enjoyed using a real outdoor shower: wonderful shower pressure in all the showers was also a pleasant surprise. We hope to return soon! Cheers!L,J G, and S

We had a last minute change of properties from one management company to Susie’s company. She was so helpful and great at helping us manage our transition. House was great. Can’t recommend working with Susie enough!!

Great Place

Cottage was just as presented on website, clean, spacious, and comfortable. Pool and beach a short walk, both very nice. We really enjoyed the screened in room, ate all of our meals there. Great stay in Kiawah!

Great Cottage for families!

Great location easy quick walk to beach and pool. Nice size kitchen much larger than other properties we have stayed at in Sparrow Pond. Outdoor shower is great too!

Spring Break

We truly enjoyed our stay here during Spring Break! The house is in a great location for biking and the beach. It had all of the essentials and was extremely clean!! Thank you for the lovely time!

Wonderful beach cacay

Very nice, clean cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay! Short walk to beautiful beach. Property manager Susie was very helpful and responded quickly and positively to our questions.

Great stay for the family

Our family had an amazing time at this cottage! There’s great bike riding, both on paved trails and on the beach. It’s a very easy walk to the pool and the beach. And the home is in great shape with all the amenities you need. I would highly recommend this for your next beach vacation!

Great location for our family vacation

We loved our time at the Sparrow Pond cottage. It was beautifully updated and the location was wonderful. A quick walk to both the beach and pool. We enjoyed coffee and games on the outdoor screened patio and the kitchen had everything we needed on those nights we cooked and ate in. Our family of 6 loved it and would highly recommend.

Wonderful week away!

We enjoyed our stay and the house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were small to be shared by 6 people but manageable. Location is great with easy access to pool and beach. Highly recommend renting bikes - we had so much fun biking around the island - especially in the evening. We will visit again but grocery shop before we arrive!

Beautiful Kiawah

Great area for bike riding and beach walking. Marshes were as close as the beach for a different effect. Loved it.

Family reunion fun

Everything was as advertised. Great location with easy access to beach, pool, and easy access into and out of Kiawah. Property Manager Susie was great!

Family Reunion

Great location near family for reunion. Near beach, biking trails, and golf if that’s your sport! Saw dolphins in the early morning. No issues with the lodging. Everything was in working order.

Spring break with tweeners

Great options between pool, nature, and soccer field served to be a great choice for 13 and 11 yr old future professional soccer players! Definitely recommend renting bikes and the details provided by hosts about dolphin viewing created an amazing experience - a highlight! Very convenient and safe. Really enjoyed the experience.

Great Sparrow Pond Cottage

Cottage was in a great location to the beach and pool. Property was very clean, enough room for two or three couples and accurately described in photos! Would definitely rent again and Susie was very helpful as the manager of the property. She was extremely easy to work with and very prompt in answering all our questions!

Excellent, modern, convenient cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your excellent cottage. It was very clean, modern, and beautifully appointed with all the necessities. We found it to be very convenient, both in it's layout and in it's proximity to things at the West Beach end of Kiawah. We enjoyed quick and easy access to the beach and pool, to several golf courses, and also to things we wanted to do away from Kiawah, such as the Bohicket Marina, the Angel Oak, and Charleston.

Wonderful week!

We love Kiawah and had a great experience here once again. We've been coming for 20 years and it is the first time we've used Susie. We love her! Wish we had known about her before. The property was great and we would definitely stay here again.

Kiawah Dream

I’ve been going to Kiawah for well over 30 years and know the island well. This one of the best properties I have stayed in and the location in The West Beach area is ideal. The actual cottage is exactly as advertised and was extremely well equipped (we like to cook and bbq). The property manager, Susie, was great with communication and immediately responsive to any questions we had. We will be staying here again, without hesitation. Absolute perfection!

Charming villa and VERY functional

My family of 5 found the villa to be very charming and extremely functional. It was well maintained and comfortable and perfect for our beach vacation. It had the space we needed for 3 young children (ages 5, 5 and 1 1/2) and offered an outdoor shower which was perfect for after the beach, a hose for rinsing sand toys, washer/dryer for washing clothes and a delightful sunroom for enjoying all our meals. Additionally, Susie the property manager was fabulous. She was always available, very responsive and handled matters appropriately. Thank you!

Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner.
