All Linens and Bath towels are included along with a fully stocked kitchen. Outside offers newly constructed fire pit along with a screen porch overlooking the Guadalupe River. Newly created Outdoor Shower to rinse off with. 4 kayaks are included with your stay. Texas State Law requires floatation device on ALL TEXAS WATERS. Just down the private street is Little Ponderosa River and Tube Outfitters where you can rent tubes for all your guests and float back down to your own property. Mention staying at our property by name and receive a discount on Tube Rental. Easy access to the river from the backyard using our newly constructed stairs. 110 feet of direct river frontage makes this property ideal for anchoring tubes onto a tree and sit back and relax. Great deep water for fishing that beautiful Texas River Trout. State Fishing License is REQUIRED on all Texas Waters.

New Metallic Epoxy floors really help show the amount of work we put into making this home a special place on the river. We have completely remodeled this house from top to bottom. Sunroom offers additional seating to take in the views of the river or even open a book and relax while still keeping an eye out on your guests. Brand new kitchen complete with granite countertops as well as being fully stocked makes it an ideal hangout space for prepping meals. The newly created pass through window to the dining room is convenient for setting up dinners with the family. BBQ grill outside is ready to handle those steaks and burgers after a long day on the river, just bring the charcoal .
This house is a new listing on VRBO but NOT our only property on the river. We are local owners that take great pride in the product we offer. Donā€™t miss out on this amazing property. We would love to earn your business. DO NOT MOVE ANY FURNITURE IN THIS HOUSE !!

Perfect Place for Girls Trip!

This place is exactly as described. It was great for a weekend getaway with my girlfriends to float the river. I liked that we had multiple areas to sit and eat, and how accessible everything was. Would definitely stay again!

Great cabin om the river.

Rented the cabin for weekend. Cabin was in perfect location. Short drive to wverything and on the river. We just floated in front of the cabin because it was so easy and nice!

Girls weekend was a blast

Our group of mature ladies loved the house. Perfect location to launch from the back stairs. Quiet neighborhood and lots of room to split up and visit in smaller groups. Sleeping arrangements and kitchen were perfect. We will be back and recommend to others.

Great house!

We highly recommend this home. We prefer to stay directly on the river and close to town and this home was perfect. The setup of the house was great for eight people. It was nice having two primary bedrooms, both with bathrooms. There is one large room which was perfect for accommodating kids or larger groups. The house had so much space for gatherings. The outside view cannot be beat. The hosts were very responsive. The house had everything we needed. We will for sure stay here again.

My friends and I come every year to the river, and this house was by far one of the best houses we have stayed in. It had everything we needed and more. The screened in porch was a hit! The placement on the river was great as well. We loved it!

4th of July Weekend.

The house was a great place to stay for floating the river and going to a concert nearby. The host left us the cutest 4th of July basket when we arrived. Everything was in working order. Our family and friends had a great time. We will definitely be back.

River Rat Junkies

River view retreat was amazing! Great location, and beautiful home. Everyone enjoyed the house. We drove up to Little Ponderosa to catch the bus to our first float on Friday and had a great time. Saturday we drove up to lone star (7 min drive) to take a different float and they were both amazing! Canā€™t wait to do it again =)

River Float Trip

I rented this property with a few friends for a relaxing weekend on the river. The house was everything we expected it to be. All of the renovations and upgrades made it a comfortable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in deck especially at night. Being right on the river made it easy to enjoy the waterfront and the proximity to 2 toob rental places made a Saturday float very easy. Weā€™re already planning our trip for next year so we can make sure we can book this house while itā€™s available.

Perfect River Front Getaway

This is an amazing home right on the river. Its a perfect spot where the water is deeper. The remodeling inside is so beautiful! The bunk house room was perfect for my 15 year daughter and her 3 besties. It was so spacious. The sitting areas inside and outside were perfect to lounging. They thought of everything. We used the firepit every night, tons of nice Adirondack chairs. The hosts left chocolates, cute coosies and plenty of starter toiletries. Thank you for the perfect long weekend vacay!!!

Excellent river front house

Great experience overall! The ad forgot to mention the campsite across the river, but the house is so cool with the screened in porch that it didnā€™t really matter. You just have to drown out the competing stereos. It was Memorial Day weekend, so extra crowded. Iā€™m sure off weekends are much more tame. Overall, it was great, and would rent again, just on an off weekend. We recommend this house for families or friends!

River View Retreat

We had a blast at this property with 3 of our best friend couples. It is a beautifully remodeled home and has plenty of room and useful furnishings. We found this to be a great location to explore surrounding attractions from. The owners Morgan and Kim are great people to work with. We made 2 different floats on the Guadalupe and were able to hang out in the water at the property. We anchored our tubes just out from the bank since this is a deeper part of the river. You donā€™t have to travel far to find a great river outfitter. Little Ponderosa River Outfitters is just down the road and are very accommodating. We highly recommend staying at the River View Retreat.

Amazing River House

River Retreat is a beautiful, recently remodeled home right on the river. It was clean, comfortable and had all the things for a great weekend getaway! The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, we really appreciated their extra touch! The house had a great view with a lovely screened in back porch overlooking the Guadalupe. The house came with kayaks and stairs down to another deck for easy river access. We were perfectly located between River Road, White Water amphitheater and about 20 mins from Gruene. We are already planning our next trip back and will definitely be staying with Kim and Morgan again. Best host ever!
