Perfect spot for a vacation

Large group had a great time - property is as advertised, plenty of spaces to sleep for a group of 18. Air conditioning worked incredibly even on a hot summer day. Would highly recommend this spot.

Large Family Getaway

Beautiful property and house. Everything was perfect and the hosts were wonderful. Would highly recommend this property to any family looking to spend time together on the river.

Beautiful Home and Property

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The check-in was very easy, communication was wonderful, and the house was gorgeous. My favorite parts of the house are definitely the kitchen and the outdoor seating. We floated the river during the day and relaxed on the patio and dock area in the evenings. We will be going back!

Family fun on the river and Schlitterbahn

We had 15 people from 3 generations. Plenty of room for everyone, kitchen well stocked, hosts quick to respond and helpful with local attractions. Listing reflected property well. Close to Clear Springs Restaurant and only around 15 min drive to Schlitterbaun, Comal River ride, HEB plus.

Better than the Pictures

The pictures show a very nice property, but the place is much nicer and more accommodating than what the pictures reveal. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing, swimming, sitting out on the porch, dining, or even lounging with the family in the living room watching the TV. The host communicated well and made the stay more comfortable and easy at checkout.

Ideal multi-family home in great location

Our family traveled down from Minnesota to be close to other family members in Marion, TX for the Total Solar Eclipse. We absolutely loved the layout and design of the house. We didn’t spend anytime on the water, but it is a great set up for anyone who would enjoy that. There was a bottle of wine from their family label left for us which was delicious. Clean, easy instructions, spacious, close to Greene. Everything we could have wanted!

An absolute beautiful house and location on the river.It was perfect for our mothers 95th birthday and reunion.The indoor areas and the outside sitting areas esp. the fire pit.Jeff and I managed very easily with our communications Usually over my lame queries and requests. He was always helpful. Fully stocked chefs style kitchen. We have 2 chefs in the family so that worked out well. The gas grill was helpful ( I wish it was a bit closer to the main house. But perfectly situated if you are using the barn, Sadly we didn't have time to enjoy down by the water only the youngest grandchild did attempt some fishing. Lovely . Thanks.

Perfect property for the perfect getaway

The pictures do this property absolutely no justice. The house is huge and stunning. Plenty of space for our large crowd. The water at the back of the property was amazing. We spent the weekend celebrating my husbands birthday and it was definitely one for the books. Any questions I had the property owners were very quick to respond. If your looking for a home to accommodate a large group then this property is for you. You will not be disappointed,

Thanks Kayci, we really appreciate your comments about the house. It's been a lot of work to get it renovated. We fell in love with those living room and courtyard patio views when we first saw it.

The location and the bones of the house itself are great. But it is in desperate need of some TLC. The night we got there the stair lights going down to the river were completely dark, working up top but nothing going down the stairs, and zero lights at the river front/dock area so fishing or hanging out by the river are at flashlight or moonlight only. Also tons of spiderwebs, leaves and dirt all around the back porch and riverside area (understand given with the location of the house, but this was beyond a week or two of neglect). Also, the “party barn available 2024!” doesn’t say that the “party barn” doesn’t include the barn itself, only the grill and picnic tables OUTSIDE THE BARN. Basketball goal also woulda been nice if we would have brought our own ball, as none was provided. The first morning we tried to make coffee we had to empty out wet used no telling how old coffee grounds from the coffee maker before we could make any. Best and last, the AC of the casita went out after the first night, making 2 bedrooms, 3 king size beds and a bathroom unusable for 2/3 nights. The owners we quick to respond with an offer of a 300 refund, but for no AC in basically a third of the beds and bathrooms making the whole casita unusable for 2/3 nights when the house cost almost 5000 for the weekend doesn’t seem like much of a refund. Seriously? Considering the other issues as well, very disappointed in the house and the whole situation. Could be so much better, will not rent again.

Fabulous Family Retreat!

We celebrated my 65th birthday over the 4th of July weekend and we could not have chosen a more perfect place in a beautiful setting. We had family members ranging from 87 to 1 year and everyone had a bed and bath and privacy! The home is perfect for entertaining and family gatherings. The owners have thought of every detail to make this an enjoyable experience. We laughed, created wonderful memories, swam in the river, fished, kayaked and didn’t leave this location because everything we needed was right there! The owners were highly responsive to any questions we had. I really hate to leave such a wonderful review because I’d like to keep this 5 ⭐️place to myself 🥰. Thank you Jeff & Jessica for providing a beautiful place to create beautiful memories ❤️

A Huge Slice of Happiness!

Large group, plenty of space indoors and outdoors. The property is well maintained, yet still in a natural state. Our group was there during a heat wave and burn ban, but that didn't deter us at all. We still spent time outdoors in the evening watching the beautiful sky, and in the river during the day. Kitchen was the main area and held our group. We even had a Private Chef and everything he needed to cook was provided. We can't wait to go back. I would love to answer questions but Jeff is wonderful at it. Book! It! NOW!!!

Best trip ever!!

I could not have imagined a more perfect place to stay for our annual friends reunion trip! Jeff and Jessica have such a stunning property inside and out, the beds were so comfortable, everyone said they slept great every morning and having two washers/dryers was a huge plus too! The property exactly checked all of our boxes for our large group- spacious, on land, right on the water, full amenities, close to Gruene Hall, and not far from Whitewater either! We spent every day just hanging out in the backyard and on the river, we didn't have to worry about driving somewhere to go float. The kitchen was probably the hotspot for late night hangs and game nights, everyone enjoyed themselves. Jeff and Jessica were quick to respond and communicating any last minute needs as well! Thank you so much again and hope we can come again soon!

Family Thanksgiving

The size of the home worked out perfect for our family gathering of about 22 people total. Inside Well equipped with everything needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Inside the home was great. The outside of the home where we spent the majority of our time was under kept. Spider webs every where, on all the out door furniture . The home had many windows for the view of the river windows were dirty with spider webs on the outside. Patio furniture was torn and moldy . The dock area by the river was dirty and unkept, old leaves tree limbs piled in a corner old swim floats with dirt and mold . All outdoor space could have used a good power wash everywhere

Hi Vanessa, thank you for the feedback and we're so glad you enjoyed the family time. We acknowledge that the dust from summer had built up, and was due for a cleaning. We got in there this week (20 Nov) and cleaned all the windows and pressure washed outside. We have also replaced the cushions on the 2 lounge chairs which had some tears, and completed haul-off from some tree trimming to improve the view from the deck and maintain the trees ahead of winter.

This was a great place for a weekend trip. It had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It was secluded enough that we didn't hear anything from HWY 46. Jeff was super easy to get ahold of for questions.
