Very nice property.

Property was very nice. Located right on the water as described. Excellent seafood restaurant located just down the road near the bridge. All in all a wonderful visit.

Cute cottage perfect time away

Was a welcome respite in a quiet location. Except for the gunshots of the duck hunters! The accommodations were lovely.

18 Year Anniversary Celebration

We came to the Waverly to celebrate our 18 year wedding anniversary and had the most enjoyable weekend. The quietness of the island is exactly what we needed after a year that has been so stressful. We came this time without our children but will be back this coming summer with them

Wonderful relaxing retreat

It was a great place to relax with an amazing view of the water. All the comforts of home. It was the perfect place to get away from it all. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the birds and enjoyed a nice bike ride around the island.

Cobb Island Cottage

The cottage is ideal for a Fall getaway. Quiet with lovely views from the deck and the 3 season porch. It was clean and tidy with all updated decor, including very nice kitchen supplies, complete new dishes set, flatware, etc. No pantry items, but I always pack everything needed for cooking including spices, so this was not a problem. With COVID, I would not want to share food supplies anyway. The Smart TV allows you to use your Netflix and has a DVD and VCR player with a few films to choose from. Two small folding beach chairs were supplied but I prefer my own comfortable ones. We brought our bikes and was easy riding around the island during our visit in October but not sure how busy it gets in the summer.

Relaxing getaway

The property was well stocked and was exactly like the pictures. We found it to be very quiet and easy to walk to the market or restaurants. Loved relaxing on the porch and watching the boats and birds! Would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding!!

Cranberry Cottage is a wonderful little cottage in a quiet neighborhood, yet within walking distance to a coffee shop, market and a couple restaurants. The views of the river and sunrise are amazing. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely return. Owners are a pleasure to deal with, and checking in and out was a breeze.

Perfect waterfront cottage

The cottage was exactly as pictured. Great sunroom for enjoying the changing evening sky and watching the boats and blue herons. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Large yard in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect set up for four people. Very relaxing weekend getaway. Easy walk to waterfront restaurants across the bridge. About 45 minute ride to Docksides in Colonial Beach. Easy day trip to enjoy fish and chips at picnic tables along the Potomac. Property manager was very responsive to inquiries about bikes and coffee maker (drip style). Very walkable island. Perfect location for a weekend getaway.

Quiet getaway

comfortable accommodations right on the water. Easy access by highway and parking available right near the door. Two restaurants close by serving great seafood. Groceries are a bit of a drive, but plenty of refrigerator space so bring along some food.

If you like water and appreciate crabs, you will absolutely love this DC getaway

It is our first experience with Vrbo and we are very pleased with the property. The owner was communicative and keeps the property in pristine condition. It serves all our needs- closeness to water, quietness, relaxing and full of nature. We’d recommend it to our friends who are adult couples (because there is only one bedroom). The only heads up is-it’s far away from gas station.

Great water access. The house has everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The enclosed porch was great during foul weather. Im willing to buy if the house would ever come up for sale!

Great stay with great views!

My family and I wanted to get away from the city and experience some nature while fishing, and this location has a great view from the porch and it is really beautiful! Clean and well organized as well. Overall, fantastic choice of stay!

Beautiful

Beautiful waterfront property. Property was immaculate and well decorated. Communication with owner was great and immediate responses were received. We had a wonderful relaxing time and will definitely look to come back.

Great place!

Our stay at Cranberry Cottage was very peaceful and relaxing. The house was charming and comfortable. The views were beautiful and the screened porch was our favorite spot. The owner was very helpful and responsive to any issues that arose. It was just as advertised, with the amenities as described and the views as gorgeous as we had hoped.

Wonderful Retreat

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is it. The views are gorgeous overlooking the Neale Sound. The neighbood is quiet and everyone was very friendly. The Cranberry Cottage is perfectly placed slightly hidden by bamboo bushes and trees. When we first walked in, we could tell the house was kept very clean. It has everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner and has been nicely updated. The near by restaurants are decent but you can catch your own crab if you want to skip takeout. There is a park within walking distance and we were able to play in the sand by the owners other property. This was the perfect getaway for my small family. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous place

Waverly Cottage is gorgeous! The views over the water are stunning and the cottage itself is beautifully decorated, well appointed and spotless. The owner communication was great and the check-in process was super easy. We came for my husband’s 60th birthday and he was pretty excited to catch both a crab and catfish right off the private dock! It was very quiet and peaceful. We spent a lot of our time on the porch which has amazing picture windows that allow you to spend hours watching the water on comfy furniture. Cobb Island is a pretty community to explore with restaurants offering high quality local seafood. I would highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Beautiful cottage and view!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage on the water. It’s very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed except a toaster. 😊 Very comfortable bed. The porch is absolutely lovely, but the weather didn’t cooperate with us using it because of the heat/high humidity. Otherwise, we would have lived out there. There are several restaurants within a short walk/drive, and Colonial Beach is a about a half-hour trip across the bridge in Virginia. The location is quiet and tranquil.

Fantastic house - we will be back!

Loved the property and the views! The owners were even kind enough to help us access a trap to go grabbing (which we did off the private dock!) The house was so charming and well maintained. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Cottage. Friendly Neighbors

Cranberry Cottage is a lovely place, with lots of spots to relax, from the living room, to the large screened porch with a view of the water, to the shade trees to sit under, to the outdoor table overlooking the dock. The neighbors are very friendly, too, chatting out on the lawn or on the docks. One neighbor asked a few times if his music was too loud (It wasn't, at all.). He even asked if we'd like some fresh clams. We haven't even left for home yet, and we're already talking about returning in the fall.
