Gateway 49 is a spacious and inviting one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage offering a comfortable retreat for couples or small families. Thoughtfully designed and generously sized, this charming unit comfortably sleeps up to four guests and provides plenty of room to relax and enjoy your time at Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort.

The private primary bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed, while the living area includes a queen-size sleeper sofa, providing additional sleeping accommodations for family or guests. The bright and welcoming living, dining, and kitchen spaces create a comfortable setting for gathering together, enjoying a leisurely meal, or simply unwinding after a day spent along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Gateway 49 is equipped with central air conditioning for added comfort throughout the warmer summer months. A washer and dryer are conveniently available in the basement, which is accessed through an exterior entrance located on the east side of the building.

Guests also enjoy access to Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort's exceptional amenities, including 1,000 feet of private Lake Michigan beach with direct access, an Olympic-sized heated swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, beautifully maintained grounds, and activities for guests of all ages. Whether your days are spent relaxing by the pool, enjoying the private beach, or watching one of Lake Michigan's breathtaking sunsets, Gateway 49 provides a comfortable and welcoming home base for a memorable Sleepy Hollow vacation.

Only about a 2 minute walk to the lake, and the sunsets were beautiful! The actual place was very clean and a perfect size. Would definitely go back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I were looking for a quick 2-night getaway that had Lake Michigan beach access and decided to try Sleepy Hollow. We were very pleased with accommodations; clean & quiet, and the property overall was beautiful with easy access to a wonderful beach (85 easy steps with rest stops on the way) and a gorgeous, sparkling clean Olympic-sized pool. The property is only minutes from downtown shopping and dining, and is not far from nearby wineries. We had a great time relaxing and look forward to returning again in the future.

It cleared up when I put the a/c on. One of my problems was the temperature of the water for showers. It was cool, not warm. They tried to fix it but it was cool. Not good for showers. I wanted to clean up and there were no vacuum cleaner bags. But overall I had a wonderful time and would stay at Sleepy Hollow again. Extremely peaceful!

And we had our crew all set for your tennis pro on Thursday, but he was needed at the wading pool? Our unit had sporadic hot water in the shower and door lock issues. But your property is lovely and a wonderful place for families. A hidden gem... We hope to be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental is absolutely perfect! Very clean, cozy, well stocked, and fast internet. The laundry room in the basement is handy. The property is a quiet, safe, very well-kept, and great location. Eighty-seven steps are required to reach the private beach because the slopes have a steep shoreline. Lounge chairs are provided to enjoy the sun and sand, and unbeatable views! The pool, playground equipment, pingpong table, tennis, and basketball courts, and bikes are all on the property. I highly recommend the Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love sleepy hollow resort. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Beach, pool and tennis courts are a big plus for us. The unit has a nice covered patio and nice floor plan. But the kitchen is poorly stocked and the furniture is garage sale odds and ends. The patio furniture is very dilapidated. Only two of the four chairs are usable. Too bad because it could be a great small unit with some care.

The unit we stayed in lacked much and closet was stocked on the floor with excess bedding so very little closet space to hang clothes. Also, kitchen supplies were minimal. And who needs 13 bed pillows. With a little help this unit could be very nice.

We booked Gateway 49 and had no idea what to expect once we arrived (other than beautiful pictures from the website). My wife and I couldn't have been happier! We were looking for a quiet place to unwind from a hectic year. Mission accomplished! We immediately fell in love with both Gateway 49 and the entire resort. We can't wait to go back!!

The patio furniture at our unit was old and in need of replacing. The bedroom closet was not able to be used because it was full of linens and the pantry was also in need of cleaning and organization. The kitchen cabinets were also in a bit of disarray and could use some organization.

Amenities on the grounds were nice but most of the bikes were in disrepair, and the pool closed at 2pm during a gorgeous weekend, none of which were deal breakers. We'll definitely come back.
