Hobby Farm stay with Hot Tub 10 min to Saugatuck/South Haven

Enjoy relaxing on the deck amongust the trees , or in the hot tub while listening to the wild life and seeing beautiful sunsets. Are carriage home is on 12 acres, we have chickens, a pair of ducks and two peacocks.(can be loud during mating season)
You can help yourself to fresh eggs every morning and pick some veggies from the garden to make an omelette. We also have 1/2 acre flower garden and honey bees. Walk on the paths and sit by the pond and feed the koi fish.In the winter you can enjoy snowshoeing and cross country skiing or travel 30 min to Bittersweet resort for downhill skiing. You will be in a central location for several breweries and wineries and farm to table restaurants. Pick apples, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines when in season at Cranes Orchards.You can add to the list of visiting several local galleries. We live on the property year round in the main home, the carriage house is very private from the main house. When leaves are in foliage you can not see the main house. You may see us during your visit doing chores down in the barn. We do are best to keep the hot tub serviced and running however we can not guarantee 100% that it will be running during your visit.

Another great stay

This is our 2nd time staying; our kids begged us to come back to this place again. The hosts have continued to improve the experience even more with little convenience sprinkled throughout. I’d highly recommend this place…the location is hard to beat, as it’s right off the highway and close to so many of our favorite beach towns.

Amazing Stay

We loved the house and whole property! The hot tub is obviously an added plus. Being able to grab chickens eggs from the coop was the coolest thing ever for us city people, and super generous of the hosts!

Nice stay

My wife and I had a great stay with our two dogs! The place was cute and comfortable and the property was great for walking our dogs.

Perfect location!

Perfect place for a surprise 40th birthday celebration! The farm was peaceful, the carriage house is thoughtfully appointed with everything needed for a great stay and is in close proximity to restaurants and cute downtown areas. We enjoyed watching the chickens and even named a few of them! The two cats are sweet and greeted us each day.

Cozy oasis

We loved our stay here. The location is just a short drive to either South Haven or Saugatuck and the property is beautiful. Our daughter loved the chickens and gathering eggs each day we were there. Would stay again!

Family trip

Such a beautiful location! We enjoyed the fresh eggs, fruit and veggies every morning. The house was clean and welcoming and the hosts were kind and helpful. We hope to return!

All around amazing.

The property was exactly as described and the hosts went out of their way to welcome our family during our stay. The living quarters are thiughtfully stocked and the hosts made certain the entire property became a home away from home, including a guided tour of the grounds (and introduction to the chickens, ducks, and peafowl) with nothing but patience for our young kids’ many questions. We miss it already. It was a stellar experience.

The Chicken House

We made our annual trip again this year to what the kids have named The Chicken House. You'll be shocked to hear that the chickens are the main attraction for (some of) us. For others, the hot tub and nearby hiking is equally enticing. Can't wait to see you next year!

Family Vacation 2024

We stayed at this property for a couple nights and it was very nice. There is a lot to do in the area. South Haven and Saugatuck are a short trip a way and there are a ton of small breweries and wineries in the area. Kids loved the hot tub and the chickens!

Fun place to stay!

First, the property is beautiful and the finishes in the apartment are top notch. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked. Our son had a blast picking veggies in the garden, hunting for eggs and even got to try a pea fowl egg for the first time. We definitely hope to stay again when we are in the area!

Great fathers day weekend

We had a great time. We loved the place! The hot tub was relaxing! We spent time in Holland, Douglas Beach, Oval beach, and Saugatuck dunes. It was a quick trip. Our daughter loved/hated the chickens. Lol. House was exactly as posted-I thought it was better in person!

Quiet getaway

We stayed for a couple days just to get away, check out some towns in the area, and have a hot tub available. We were pleased by the accommodations, it was more comfortable even than we expected from the listing, and we had a nice quiet stay. The chicken eggs were a very nice touch, and the location was only a short drive to a couple towns while still being out of the way. Communication was good, messages were answered quickly but otherwise we got to keep to ourselves. Just what we were looking for!

Cozy farm getaway

My children,10 and under, loved feeding the peacocks, chicken and fish. They also rode on the provided bikes all over the property whenever they could. The hosts were very responsive if I had a question. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. The cable tv and WiFi worked great. Kitchen and showers were well supplied. Quick 10 minutes away from several different towns and locations.

Perfect family friendly carriage house. This house had everything we could need for our family of 5. Our kids ages 2, 5, and 7 loved the property. They road the provided bikes all around the driveway. Our youngest enjoyed the toy dump trucks. Since our kiddos spent most of the time on the driveway, we were given cones to put out just as a reminder to keep an eye out for the kids. We really appreciated this! Julie gave us a tour our first day. Julie and Becky were incredibly welcoming. They left out food for the fish by the pond and even told us to feed it to the ducks too! The hot tub was very clean. We enjoyed the provided games. Our kids loved looking out the windows and watching the chickens roam the property. Collecting eggs was so much fun. We also loved the farm cats! The location was also perfect for visiting south haven and saugatuck. It is right off the highway and was less than 15 minutes to either place. We spent most of our time in south haven. We had the best family trip we cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you Julie and Becky!

Exactly what we wanted

I was looking for a place for our family that was near different beach options that provided a slower pace than our typical day. This place was exactly what I had in mind. First off, the location was perfect (could not have been better). We were just off the interstate with easy access to some of our favorite beach towns (Grand Haven, Saugatuck, and South Haven). The hosts live on property, but it never once felt like they were intrusive. They were friendly, helpful, informative, and opened up their property in the most inviting ways. They provided eggs from their hens, food to feed the fish, tips for a nice hike behind their house, and the house was well stocked with the most comfortable beds! Our kids have very different personalities, but all of them had a sense of wander and awe as they explored the property throughout our stay. They spent hours building and rebuilding the provided 3d planet puzzles and loved being in the hot tub. Our youngest daughter even cried as we left our stay because she loved their duck, Carly, so much! She now has a stuffed animal duck named Carly and asked when we can come back. Thanks for a great experience; it was exactly what we needed!
