Absolutely stunning views from this home right on Bald Mountain golf course in the front and Bald Mountain Lake in the back. Walking distance to resort ammenities including restaurants, beach, beach cabana, boat and golf cart rentals, wellness center with spa, gym, indoor pool, jacuzzi, miniature golf. Your right on the Champion 18 hole Bald Mountain golf course.

Your townhome rental comes with 2 Kayaks and dock for use during your stay. Paddle or swim in this pristine mountain lake.
The home is equipped with everything you need to make it you perfect vacation getaway.
The kitchen has granite countertops, full size appliances, dishwasher, Keurig and drip coffee makers, all the cookware and silverware needed.

Washer and dryer in unit.
The living room overlooking the golf course and the the majestic Bald Mountain cliffs has new reclining leather sofas, an electric fireplace and smart TV.
The bedrooms on the 2nd story each have a private balcony either overlooking the mountain and golf courses in the front or the lake in the back. 2 comfortable queen beds and flat screen TVs in each room.
The bathrooms have tub/shower combo
hair dryer, sample size toiletries to get you started.
This property has a Ring security camera at exterior front entrance.
We allow pets at owners discretion. There is a $100 pet fee per pet.

Great stay

Andreas place is beautifully located and had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun week at Rumbling Bald. Mornings and evenings on the screened back porch, overlooking the lake, was our favorite part.

Beautiful location

We loved the location and the view. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We loved having the kayaks to use and always love staying at Rumbling Bald Resort. I would highly recommend and would want to stay here again.

Peaceful on the lake

Villa was perfect for our family as we love to be on the water. Andrea was amazing and very responsive to our questions. We would definitely recommend this Villa and host to all future guests.

Perfect condo for family of 5

This is our second time staying in this condo. It’s in a perfect location within rumbling bald resort. Peaceful and serene setting with an accessible dock and kayaks for use. The owner was communicative and helpful. The property was clean and had everything we needed, including games and a well equipped kitchen. We will definitely stay again!

Lovely Location with Quiet Porch!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this listing which allowed us to bring our small dog and was located on a smaller lake with a view in both directions! We really enjoyed the screened in porch & this side of the resort which was much quieter than homes rented on the other side of the lake. We hope to come back!

Peace and quiet

Our family of 4 really enjoyed all of the decks; whether taking in the mountain view over the fairway or the lake view through the trees. The townhome is well appointed and very comfortable, and the hosts are very responsive, friendly, and helpful. The resort amenities are a big bonus! Would stay again, for sure.

Beautiful location & nicely stovked

Located along the banks of the lake facing the fairway. Owners provided water toys, games and all of the comforts of home. Nice deck in front for morning coffee. Comfortable in every way for 4 adults.

Peaceful Get-a-Way

This was the perfect place to stay in Rumbling Bald. The screen porch with a view of the lake was our favorite space. Well equipped kitchen and overall cleanliness a plus! The host was good at communicating everything we needed to know. Highly recommend.

Fun Labor Day Weekend

We had a great time at the Villa and the resort. We could walk to pool and beach area. The villa was well equipped for everything we needed. It has a great Lake and Mountain View. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the screened in porch overlooking the lake.

Almost Heaven

The property is equipped with comfortable furniture and beds. Every amenity has been thought of (dishes, utensils, small appliances)as well as plentiful towels. Walk out the front door to the golf course. Enjoy the peaceful screened in porch overlooking the lake. Kayaks are available too.Lots of restaurants on the property, as well as nearby. Boat rides, rentals, pool, tennis and a lazy river. Something for everyone.

Great Home with Lake and Mountain Views

This home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. We would highly recommend this home. The home is well-stocked and the owners are very helpful and responsive. Rumbling Bald’s dining options (legends and the Garden restaurants) are “ok.” There are several restaurants in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock worth checking out including Lake House, River Watch, La Strada, and the Bistro. You would be hard-pressed to run out of fun things to do here - golf, swimming, hiking, kayaking, tennis, basketball, putt-putt, and even bingo and trivia nights - most of which is within walking distance of this home. We enjoyed watching the ducks on the lake while relaxing on the screened-in porch, or playing Scrabble (games provided by the hosts) and other games on a rainy summer day.

Relaxing holiday getaway for 2

The word that kept coming to mind is comfort. There were 4 decks - 2 on second floor and 2 on first floor. We didn't use the second floor decks, but the views and seating on both first floor decks were so comfortable. There were also comfortable chairs on the interior and on the lakeside dock. In looking at the other condos on the property, I saw none with better views or seating. We used only 2 of the beds, which were oddly tall but extremely comfortable. The bed linens and towels were very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked, including not only a coffee pot (regular and Keurig), but also coffee! The gas grill was also a great amenity! We could not have been more pleased with the property and its location.

A wonderful vacation

This was a wonderful stay . The property was in a good location and had quietness with amenities. We could swim in the lake right in the back yard , have coffee and dinner on the back porch overlooking the lake , take the dogs to the dog park, swim and play on the private beach and playground on the beach , or have a spa day at the spa ( by appointment) and swim in the indoor and outdoor pools. Andrea was very timely in her responses and the place had everything we needed - down to a baby gate for the stairs . Laundry area was super helpful with four kids . They even had life jackets to use and floats for the lake . The kayaks were so fun !! The only down side was the area/ villa Starbucks closes at 5 pm but I think ( I’m not sure ) they close a little earlier in the whole resort- maybe bc of bears in the dark ? Anyway- tons of fun stuff to do in the resort and away but close enough to not drive far . Like zip lining and chimney rock only minutes away - like 15-20. This was an absolute wonderful vacation and we would definitely stay there again!!! Thank you for having us in your beautiful place

Haven for Golfers

Overall impressions of this rental are: it's best suited for 4 people & not the advertised 8. The low-rating for accuracy of the listing is becasue the bathrooms, stairs & seasonal screen porch photos are not included in the property photos. Both bathrooms are on 2nd floor of unit, are very tight with doors that just 28" wide and the stairs to 2nd level are also not wide - about 32". While this rental is a premium unit at Rumbling Bald because it faces both the lake and the greens, it is part of the oldest units constructed on this property and the interior updates are superficial at best. Less Rumbling Bald photos and more of the screen deck during the seasons would assist travelers in understanding how much of the lake can be viewed during different times of the year. The cleanliness mid-rating is because of the missing screens in windows, the spider web accumulation on both bathroom windows with residents, a broken turn knob on one bedroom lamp, dead buttons on living room remote (left cursor, #5 & #8) made using streaming channels tough to navigate. Did not use bedrooms TVs. If you prefer a vaca plan having facility amenities close by, then you will enjoy Rumbling Bald best by planning a golf cart rental to navigate the property. We prefer to explore an area we visit which is why the location has a mid-rating. Lake Lure & Chimney Rock can be a 30- 40 min drive from Rumbling Bald depending on the traffic. We wanted to stay at Rumbling Bald because it appears in so many Asheville publications. Now that we have, it is not a resort we would go back to, thus the overall 3-star rating.

Thank you for providing your feedback of your stay. We always ask our guests to inform us of anything that may be broken or could be improved on to make ones stay more comfortable. Unfortunately we were not made aware and could have easily resolved above mentioned complaints. Damages from prior rentals happen. We had a new lamp and a remote on site which were readily available if we were made aware. Location: The resort is in the mountains away from the city. The surrounding tourist attractions do require driving to get too. This is a wonderful resort surrounded by so much beauty and so many outdoor activities. Shame this guest missed it. Oh yes, and spiders happen. Outdoors, 2nd level window.

Good, but not great

The positives: The location was nice and had inviting views. The unit seemed to have been recently and nicely remodeled, including flooring throughout and the kitchen, living room and bathrooms. The screened back porch was an inviting place to sit. The owners were friendly. The negatives: The unit was clean, but not what we would call "deep clean". For example, the silverware drawers were dirty and that's an area you really want to be clean. Some of the towels appeared to have stains on them. The furniture on the screened porch was well worn and the cushions were dirty. The kitchen had everything you need but the pots and pans were all Teflon non-stick and were very scratched up. We try to avoid using Teflon pans that shed the coating into the food for health reasons. The toaster oven tray had burnt on food. The upstairs balcony in the front had a large opening on one end where our small dog (or a child) could have fallen and been injured. In the secondary bedroom the ceiling texture was peeling down in some areas, probably because of old roof leaks. Also in the secondary bedroom, the beds are unusually high. Some children or elderly would find them challenging/dangerous. The biggest complaint we had was the beds in the primary suite. The mattresses were very worn and sunken in and quite uncomfortable. They were also noisy and constantly waking everyone up when you move around. We didn’t feel the unit met our expectation for the price that we paid.

We appreciate all feedback. We have addressed and resolved all of the above issues. The cleaning company has been made aware. The pots and pans, patio furniture and mattress's have been replaced. The ceiling has been repaired. (a new issue that was already scheduled for after this booking). We always ask for our guests to let us know if there is anything we can do to improve their stay.

Thanksgiving at Rumbling Bald

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The view from the back screened-in porch was terrific, and I am sure the Fall view is spectacular. Not very crowded over the Thanksgiving weekend, so it was incredible quiet and peaceful for the long walks around the resort. Kitchen table was built for board games and cards, which Andrea has thoughtfully stocked nearby. A lot of fun, and we would stay again. Thanks

Relaxing

Nice experience but didn’t realize the dock was shared, clean and well stocked. Husband a little disappointed he didn’t even get a bite when fishing from dock. Scenery was breathtaking. Beds were comfortable
