Beautiful 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath Ocean View Home with Pool - Sleeps 10. You’ll find countless delightful spaces at the Purple Pelican! Relax in the hammock while enjoying views of the ocean waves from the balcony, or have fun playing in the fenced backyard by the pool. You’re going to love it here.

The Purple Pelican is a multi-story home with modern architecture and décor. Some areas are light and airy, while others are calm and shaded—perfect for Florida's balmy weather! Just a short walk from the beach, it’s in a laid-back, friendly neighborhood where kids can safely ride their bikes. If it sounds like paradise, you’ll be amazed when you see it in person!

The Purple Pelican offers a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. While Saint Augustine has plenty of excitement, you’ll also find a lot to enjoy indoors. Relax in the hammocks, unwind in a spacious master suite with a Jacuzzi, or enjoy the unique waterfall/rain/body jet shower that syncs with your favorite music via a Bluetooth speaker and mood lights.

Our living area features ultra-comfortable couches and chairs, a decorative fireplace, lovely views, and a sense of serenity that invites family movie nights with popcorn.

The fully equipped kitchen is spacious and well-appointed, so you might be inspired to cook a big meal for everyone. Do you prefer dining out? No worries! The area boasts terrific restaurants and the kitchen includes convenient appliances like a microwave, coffeemaker, blender, and dishwasher to make meal prep a breeze. We also provide beach chairs, towels, toys, and bikes to enhance your stay and ensure a memorable experience!

The Purple Pelican is a unique home filled with charming spaces. Its prime location and luxurious accommodations make it the perfect home away from home.

*Pool can be heated for an additional $200/week or less to a maximum of 84 degrees. Pool heat must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours before arrival. Please note that we do not heat the pool from Memorial Day- to September*

Nice for family

Perfect location and we were able to have the pool heated for an extra fee which was totally worth it. The house is in a cool neighborhood right by the beach. It was stocked with the basic necessities for a family weekend. There is a nice kids bedroom that was great for my toddler and plenty of space for her grandparents as well. The only negative is that the house is in pretty rough shape. The blinds are broken, floors falling apart microwave needs replaced etc. when we arrived there was a very strong smell of chemicals which turned out to be coming from an entire bottle of disinfectant that had been run through inside the dishwasher. We had to turn fans on and open windows because the chemical fog was so intense that we were all coughing. After we got that under control with some fresh air we could actually breathe inside the house. Then I did have to use the vacuum because the floors were quite dirty upon arrival, so I’m glad there was one accessible. Overall these were minor issues that I could manage and we enjoyed our stay at the purple pelican

Awesome Stay on A1A!

Very relaxing trip, amazing location with 2 very close beach accesses, easy check in-out, good management. Backyard pool space feels very lux, fun for kids or nice for adults sip drink, or both! Nice big master bed and bath, very convenient in/out thru garage for beach stuff. Will come back.

Overall Ok

Nice home and location. Not very well laid out and much more dirty/worn than the pictures showed. Had several electrical, bug and plumbing issues. Not a bad property, just over priced.

Perfect Location and Quiet Neighborhood

We never wanted to leave! The property was just as pictured. The master bathroom was perfect with an awesome shower and a tub that I was happy to get wrinkly in. The view from the balcony and dining table was perfect and the sounds of the ocean perfectly soothing. The backyard/pool area was awesome and the pool toasty and warm on chilly days in January. All in all a perfect stay!

Excellent Home

This is a fantastic property and extremely convenient. We loved the location and access to the beach. We will certainly try and stay here again. The phone number to call and speak to someone, customer service was not great. I asked a question and was told "use my best judgement"...and it was a simple question about the grill that was in the pictures but not covered or included. Frustrating, but all things considered, this is a great property and very well maintained and highly recommended.

GREAT Beach Getaway

The Purple Pelican was an amazing host site for our family vacation. A great pool/patio setup out back and just a very short walk to the beach made this the perfect place for our group of 7 (+1 pup) to relax. The power went out half way through our trip (FL Power issue - NOT a Property issue) - and VRBO/Owner/Manager were all great around communication. 5 Stars and hope to return for future vacations.

Purple Pelican

House was well equipped and set up. Close to the beach and beach access walkovers. Lots of stairs at the house but easy to navigate. Kitchen and upstairs was awesome space and utilized a ton by the family. We made every meal at the house, using kitchen and grill. Pool area while small was excellent for cooling off after the day at the beach. Plenty of storage for beach accessories, we had tents, surfboards, chairs and beach games we brought and plenty of space in garage. Hose was well placed in front and back to clean up from the beach! Neighborhood and neighbors were awesome! Close to everything, including downtown St Augustine! Overall a wonderful week for the family and I would recommend a stay here!

The resort backyard beach house

We were w family of 8. Had a great time. Was extremely close to the beah- 5 min walk or. 2 min drive. Be advised that it cost $10 to park on the beach. The house was clean and roomy. The only drawback was the low water pressure and the Master bath toilet. Contacted the owner and the plumber was there immediately to fix it. Please note also that the house has many stairs and the kitchen is on the 3rd floor. Granted, I got my cardio in. Overall very nice place.

Lots of stairs

Nice clean house, quick walk to the beach which is beautiful. The house is not a good choice for elderly or people who have trouble with stairs. There are lots of them and the kitchen is on the 3rd floor. Another issue is that the stairs have different heights and could be a trip hazzard. The yard was small but nice. The pool is also smaller than it looks in the listing. Still, it was nice and warm (paid extra to have it heated) and relaxing. No cable TV, but the master bedroom and living room TV used a streaming service. Unfortunately the TV in the bedroom we used had no service. I would have brought my Roku had I known that. Overall, it was a very nice house but we wouldn’t do again because of all the stairs and our knee problems.

Family Vacation

Great place for family vacation (with small kids). Plenty of room for our group of 8. About 5 minute walk to the beach. You can drive on the beach for $10 a day (entrance to this is about a block from the house) This made it easy to bring all the kids beach toys with us. The beach is great for kids. Very shallow for a long ways out and in the evening tide pools form on the beach- we found big shells and saw crabs and starfish. Pool area is great with lots of seating. Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of supplied towels. Everything was clean. Would go and stay here again!

Beach house

We had an amazing time. The house was in a wonderful location. Beautiful home. Very comfortable home. Kids loved the backyard and the pool. We would absolutely recommend this house to everyone!! Thanks for a great vacation!

Nice house for our family vacation!

The house worked great for our family vacation! It was fully stocked and was close to a couple restaurants and stores if we needed anything else. As others noted, there were a a lot of stairs but my 3-year-old kid and 70-year-old mom got around just fine. Close walk to the beach (tip: helpful to bring a wagon/cart for all the beach gear). My toddler really enjoyed the pool and “disco” shower! Thanks!

Great overall stay!

The location is excellent! Five minutes or so to the beach, easy walk, friendly neighborhood. The house has more stairs than expected and the layout was.... different, but overall, definitely met the needs of our group. The pool is smaller than anticipated but the backyard area is lovely and we had several enjoyable evenings lounging poolside and using the grill. The kitchen could be a little bit better supplied, especially with more plates and utensils and sharper knives, but we were able to cook meals at home with what was provided. The washer had a leak towards the end of our stay, but hey, that stuff happens and I'm sure it's repaired now. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Purple Pelican!

Great Spring Break!

We had a great time and the property was amazing! Communication was great! The back yard has a new shaded area and updated landscaping. The hammocks are great!

Excellent access to beach & has pool!

It provided the basics. Kitchen was well stocked with necessaries. No closet in the master bedroom. Lots of stairs throughout the house, so not for folks who can't do lots of hardwood flooring stairs. Kids bedrooms were very nice. Access to beautiful beach was wonderful!!
