Peter was a wonderful host. The house was warm and welcoming with everything needed for a 10 day stay. The weather was perfect, all warm fall days. The pool was cold and refreshing and the hot tub was wonderful in the evenings while we star gazed.

DawnRidge was a perfect place for our multigenerational trip for our grandson's graduation week. The property is just as beautiful as the listing photos depict, and the panoramic views from the back deck offered serenity after the hubbub of all the festivities. Two floors of living and sleeping space allowed the grandkids to have their own space, whenever we were able to get them out of the pool, that is. The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We were able to host a large family dinner at the spacious dining table, and enjoyed the three different living spaces on the deck. It was also amazing to end each day with a soak in the hot tub under the stars. Finally, the host was very communicative and we felt very welcome. We highly recommend this wonderfully peaceful home in the pines of Colfax.

Great for a weekend getaway

Nice place overall, plenty of space and clean. Very quiet area and no neighbors right on top of the property so this place worked very well for a weekend getaway to decompress. We’re certainly adding this to our list of return places to visit.

My husband and I celebrated our 60th birthday with our children and grandchildren. The house was perfect for all of us, including our four small grandchildren. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had no problem cooking all of our meals over seven days. The beds were very comfortable and our grandchildren loved the bunk room. Perfect getaway for a family!

Relaxing stay in a great location

Great location, spacious home. Spa on a starry night, relaxing and inspiring. Appreciated great communication with the host. The EV charger was a nice touch. Can easily accommodate a full family or even a couple of families. Would happily return with our full family, but certainly enjoyed the space with just the two of us.

Impressive accommodations

We had family in town for a memorial and there were multiple large areas for people to play games, talk, and be alone concurrently. Host was easy to communicate with and accommodating. We'll keep this property in mind next time we have family in Colfax. Location about 5-8 minutes off the freeway

Amazing stay

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO property! The house was spacious, clean, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its location was perfect — nestled in nature, offering a peaceful retreat, but still close enough to groceries and restaurants for convenience. The kids had an absolute blast with all the amenities. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing yet convenient getaway!

Perfect!

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. We were in a heat wave, so the pool was perfect. My dog had a great time exploring the property and sniffing everything in sight. It was quiet and very relaxing, especially watching all the golden eagles flying above. Would definitely love to come back next summer!

Wonderful family reunion spot

The house was beautiful and perfect for our family of 3 including our 7 year old, my husband’s sister and her husband and my husband’s parents. The pool and hot tub were awesome, plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. It was very kid friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for our needs. The host was absolutely amazing in fulfilling all our requests. We would all love to come back and stay longer!
