Waterfront Cottage with Wharf on Mobile Bay Being remodeled completion Dec 1st

The property is currently being remodeled and not available for bookings.

We are adding a new master bedroom, and screened porch. The living room area is being extended, and the roof and siding are being replaced. We hope to be completed by November 1st.

Come watch the stunning sunsets and enjoy the beauty of Mobile Bay, a serene haven, just a short drive from the renowned coastal town of Fairhope and just 30 minutes' drive from the sparkling beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

The home is a simple, traditional bay cottage, with hardwood floors throughout that has been extensively refurbished with an emphasis on comfort and relaxation. The main living area features an open plan kitchen/living and dining area and has beautiful views of the bay, opening out on to a deck area with outdoor dining and gas grill.

The home has a 200-foot pier leading to a covered wharf with comfortable seating. Spend time watching the sunset, sipping a cocktail or enjoy your morning coffee watching the pelicans glide by.

The cottage has a principal bedroom with king-size bed and ensuite bathroom with walk in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds, and a third bedroom has a full-size bed. The shared hall bathroom has combined bath and shower. For the children there is a small, separate t.v. room with board games and a wide selection of books.

The property also features a detached guest cottage with living room, a bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom with combined bath and shower, a refrigerator and coffee maker.

This is a perfect retreat to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the bay and the stunning sunsets. It is just 8 miles to all the amenities of Fairhope, one of the prettiest coastal towns in the South boasting unique stores, galleries and restaurants.

A short drive takes you to the beautiful Grand Hotel at Point Clear one of the oldest hotels in the South where you can enjoy afternoon tea or spend a day at the luxurious spa.

Bring your boat or jet ski and make use of the public boat launch just 500 yards away from the property.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note that the 4th bedroom and 3rd bathroom are in the detached guest cottage. Also, the property is a pet free home.

THIS IS A SMALL BAY COTTAGE IDEAL FOR FAMILY VACATIONS OR A PEACEFUL RETREAT FOR FRIENDS. ABSOLUTELY NO WEDDINGS, REHEARSAL DINNERS OR PARTIES. ONLY THE REGISTERED GUESTS (MAXIMUM 8) ALLOWED TO STAY ON THE PROPERTY. WE HAVE WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS AND ASK THAT OUR GUESTS RESPECT OUR QUIET PEACEFUL NEIGHBORHOOD.

WEDDING PARTY

The location of the property is the best in all of Baldwin County (my opinion). The property was large and had plenty of room for parking. The lot was on the Bay which was awesome. The boathouse was our favorite part of the property. Many nights talking, fishing and crabbing were enjoyed by everyone. The house was very accommodating and the property agent made sure it was cleaned properly. The water pressure in the bathrooms was low and the dishwasher did not work. Not a big deal breaker. The grill and adorrondack chair should be updated.

Pictures looked great

The property needs some maintenance. These were reported to the property manager: Lights in the bathroom did not work(fixed while there), k-cup machine did not work (not replaced), moths in both units. Other things that need to be addressed: holes in the deck (needs replaced), no handrails on boardwalk, 30% of the lights were out at the boathouse, tons of junk under the small house.

BAY LIVING THE BEST

IF YOU LIKE THE WATER AND DONT HAVE TO HAVE A BEACH THEN YOU WILL LOVE MOBILE BAY. THE COTTAGE BRINGS YOU BACK TO THE ROOTS OF THE STAYING THE SUMMER ON THE BAY AND THE PIECE AND QUIET AWAY FROM EVERYDAY LIFE AND THE CROWDS.

Nice house on the bay

Reserved the house for my family as my sister lives in Fairhope and she was organizing a family reunion. My wife became ill and couldn’t travel. The owner was very accommodating when I asked to transfer the rental to one of my brothers. His family enjoyed the house. The kitchen living room area is great and the beds were comfortable. Well stocked and all in all a nice rental.

A perfect home and pier on Mobile Bay

Quiet cottage

Nice place with multiple bedrooms along with a bonus separate bunkhouse. Near enough to restaurants and stores, as well as a few golf courses. The bonus is the covered pier. Able to enjoy the water, wildlife and sunsets.

Communication

The proberty was wonderful and the view was breathtaking. However, the property manager was overbearing. The original call where she walked through the property was okay, she talked a long time and all the information given was on the fridge inside the house. The problem was while we were there and the day we checked out. She was in our business the whole weekend and treated us like we were children. We could read the house rules and followed them but she would call and text about them constantly. It felt close to harassment for us. If you dont mind the host texting or calling you alot this property is okay. If you like to be left alone and treated like an adult this might not be the best place to stay.

Loved it all the "Bay"

House was good for our stay. Perfect for families with Small children, and seating for a lot of people. The Bay is great and the Bay Dock was very enjoyable. Wild life was great seeing fish, Jellyfish, pelicans, Seagulls, and Dolphins that swam up really close. All in all we loved our stay and Fairhope is a great sleepy area very close to Foley and the Beaches.

Family reunion

Our stay was wonderful. The property was exactly as described, and better. The pictures do not do the interior of the house justice! So cute and tastefully decorated. The weather was perfect and Fairhope is the most enchanting town you could ask for. It was the perfect location for our family members traveling from the north, south and west to meet. The kitchen was furnished with all of the utensils, glassware and dishes you will need. We made several meals at the house - and had all of the equipment we needed. The beds were comfortable - very important for me! The main house bathroom was a good size, with a tub/shower. The only difficulty was the toilet. It was extremely low. More suitable for a child than an adult. However the toilet in the King Bedroom was slightly higher. The shared areas had plenty of room for our family to talk, play games, eat and rest. We also used the guest house for two adults in our group. It is just steps away from the main house, and equally charming and roomy. This is a quaint cottage house in a lovely setting that suited our family perfectly.

Fairhope Visit

We (three couples) had a great time. The view of Mobile Bay cannot be beat. Only one thing bothered me. We made the reservation for the sole purpose of all of us being able to stay in the same house and have our own bedroom and bathroom. The ad was for 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. That would have been perfect. No one told us the 4th bedroom and the 3rd bath was actually in the guesthouse separate from the big house. Other than that everything was great.

We had a wonderful week over the bay! We've stayed at this house several times, and it is always a great experience. Monica is wonderful to work with and she's incredibly responsive if you need anything. We'll definitely be back!
