Incredible Ocean views, Elevator, 2 Pools and Barbecue's available for use by the pool area. Well Located in South Kihei Close to All Points of Interest and Steps to Some of the Best Beaches in Maui.
This is a modest spacious town home format with a master bedroom and bath on the entry level, and a second master bedroom and bath on the second level with an additional open Loft bedroom(2 Twin beds). There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and in the living room as well. Laundry facilities are inside the condo. Air conditioners are in the bedrooms. The unit has a nice ocean view from the lanai and a equally nice mountain view. Both baths have large showers.
The entire complex is on multiple acres of green shrubs with both salt water and fresh water pools, as well as a tennis court.
Our condo can accommodate up to 8 guests with two king beds,2 twin beds in loft, and a full sofa bed in the living room. Hale Kamaole Resort is within walking distance of local shops, restaurants ,and beach gear rentals.
Nearly 75% of our guests have been with us before which speaks well for the complex. Many of our guests are European, Asian, Aussies all of whom enjoy the quiet family friendly atmosphere. It is not unusual for strangers to invite you to their table to share a meal. It is a great place to make new friends.
Distance to Hale Kamaole Beach park is a mere 25 yards where you can enjoy the beach, a walking trail and some of the most beautiful sunsets in all Hawaii.
There is ample free parking and never a booking or registration fee. The property's location is also well located for access to Makenna State park and the impressive Lava Flows further south beyond the beautiful Wailea hotels. A lot to take in or just relax at the pools. Welcome!

The condo was perfect for our family vacation! Tony is wonderful. He is accommodating and available if you need anything from him. The pictures do not do the unit justice. There is nothing like it close to the beach in Kihei you at the price Tony offers the unit. 2 bedroom, 2 bath - plus loft area with 2 twins. The patio overlooks the pool and has an ocean view. It’s a beautiful place to sit and relax. Everything was clean with fresh with new linens and towels. We loved our stay and will be back! Also- Lots of beach gear in the patio closet you can take with you across the street to the beautiful little beach - which is perfect for swimming and sun bathing. Thank you for everything Tony!

More than expected

The photos of the property in the listing were pretty underwhelming for what it actually is. The place is incredible! Beautiful view from the lanai, comfy beds, and an INCREDIBLE location literally right across the street from the best little beach. Tony was great to deal with and was a genuinely nice person who was thoughtful and cared about your visit. I really wish I could have stayed longer!

Perfect for the price!

Most people leaving reviews are expecting Grand Wailea, and that’s not the case here. It was more than adequate, and took care of my needs. Tony was always available for questions, or any issues. I appreciate him & his place! I would definitely rent it again.

New Years Stay

Tony is a very pleasant man and not hard to get a hold of. The condo is not three bedrooms, it’s a loft with two bedrooms which was totally fine with us. It definitely could use some updating and a bug guy. Lots of mold smells in the upstairs bathroom but I know that comes with the environment. There were plenty of chairs and stuff for the beach available, the only thing we could have used was an ice chest. Overall we had a great time.

Amazing location

This is a mid range property in a fantastic location.The owner was very kind and left donuts for us, yum! Cons- The lack of AC outside of the two bedrooms makes the other sleeping areas ( loft and living room) really unusable- we bought extra fans and put bowls of ice in front of them at night and that helped but it was uncomfortably hot even so. Also, somehow Every dish and coffee mug in the cabinet was greasy/dirty when we arrived but no problem, we just washed them..I actually think they just need a new dishwasher as it didn’t seem to clean very well. We also purchased some new beach items..umbrella and mats, as the ones they had were all broken and rusted. We didn’t mind the purchasing of the items as the price reflected the conditions and we feel that we got a great deal, but as other reviews including this one reflect, this property does come with a few issues to consider. Pros- We would absolutely stay again ( most especially if we only had 4 people and could all sleep with AC that way) and the price is right for the nice location!

Amazing resort

We loved the location of the resort. We had the prettiest views from our third floor patio. We could see the ocean one way, the mountains the other way and could see the kids at the pool at the same time. The resort was perfect. There were two pools, gas and charcoal grills, and the grounds were immaculate. The condo was extremely spacious. The two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and extra beds in the loft and sofa in the living room gave us plenty of sleeping options. The value for what we paid was great. The unit wasn’t perfect and some things were outdated but we were able to overlook some things based on our rate, the resort, and location.

Stay at kehei

Electric outlets with no covers, holes in walls, bathroom light not working, written description was in accurate, it's not three bedroom, it's two bedroom with a loft, refrigerator handle was missing, bathroom vanity well worn and one door broke, ceiling fan in upstairs bedroom cord broken off and not functioning, ceiling fan in living room one speed only and light not working, down stairs bathroom sink has no pressure just a trickle. It was a place to stay but worst I have been in.

Kihei beach condo

The property is in a great location. When traveling to excursions you flow against traffic. Property is located across from the beach. Listed as 3 bedroom but really two bedroom with a loft with two singles. Older condo which could use some in depth cleaning and updating. Fine for the going price in Hawaii though. Only AC in the two bedrooms with fans for the other areas. Listing agent was readily available to talk to and quite friendly.

Unit a little bit on the older than expected. Needed lots of care. Not enough AC unit to cool the place down. Had to open front and back door at night to cool the place down. Lucky had a breeze most of the time to get comfortable. Size of the unit was big enough, amenities were good and best of all, location was excellent!

Great location in Kihei

Condominium is located right across the street from a beautiful beach. Storage area off the deck has boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and kids beach toys. Very functional inside with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open loft so you can sleep six I left the pool code, Internet, login info, as well as other pertinent information on a note on the refrigerator. Also left coffee, filters, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, and detergent for the next guests. It’s never fun to have to go buy all those items when all you need is a few tide pods a little bit of coffee and some dish soap. Can’t beat the location which is also a very short walk from the Kihei boat launch in case you’re going, snorkeling, whale, watching, or diving.

Needs help.

The property is not up to standard. The electrical is iffy. Light in the bathroom randomly turns off and the fan makes noise but does not work. Cabinet doors won't stay closed. 2 very small air conditioning units can't keep the unit cool. Needs a lot of updates.

Avoid This Place

I have never stayed at a place that was this terrible. From the lack of communication to the less than poor cleanliness. Review this place to get yourself up to speed. I’m not sure why the host even bothers. Some discrepancies from earlier reviews have never been addressed. We left after the first night. I have requested that VRBO remove his listing as well as reimburse me for the entire stay.

Tony is nice but hard to contact

Great location. Loved the condo. Check in was no contact from verbo or Tony. Arrived at the location 5 minutes before the office closed. If I had been 5 minutes later we would have been homeless that night. Also I was sent a message about a missing necklace, all attempts to call or message back have failed. I would like the necklace back. It is my niece's and it was a gift from her grandfather. 734-646-9127 please call me.

Good Location, Needs updates

Property is located reasonably close to businesses in Kihei. The owner was reachable and responsive. Faucets, cupboards, amenities need repaired or replaced. Dishes had dried food on the in the drawers and cupboards. Hide-a-bed did not have linens to make it up as a bed. The dryer knob for temperature control was broken off so no way to change. The complex this unit is located in is well maintained. This unit at least needs a lot of refurbishment and repair

Wonderful location, stunning view.

We ate our meals on the balcony overlooking the ocean. It was marvelous! Every night that we were home, we walked across the street to the beach and watched the sunset over the ocean... magical! The apartment is spacious with plenty of room for the five of us that stayed there.There was no information on check-in. However, I called the manager and he was very friendly and gave us the information that we needed. The next day, we went to the office and the lady there was very helpful.I used the pool one day. The chairs are comfortable and plentiful. The pool itself was very nice and clean. Of course, the beach was wonderful and so accessible. We spent a lot of time there. We the grounds are beautifully maintained and attractive. There was plenty of parking and we were always able to get a space near our room. The elevator worked great for hauling luggage up and down.The beds were very comfortable for everyone. We never ran out of hot water. The bathrooms are spacious. Lots of closet space, dresser drawers and hangers were available. The washer and dryer was really handy. We used it several times to wash our swim suits and hiking clothes. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Location, ocean and pool view

The property was in need of many repairs. Dryer didn't work and air conditioners in the 2 bedrooms old and not very effective. Sink in the main bathroom needs a stopper. The condo was very clean, pillows need to be replaced, downstairs closet was full of junk. The location is wonderful, easy walk to Kamaole 3 beaches, Tony the owner was easily reached and offered to fix the dryer. He tried to explain that the air-conditioners were OK, they need to be replaced. Once the repairs and updates are done the condo would get a higher rating. Pros: Location, cleanliness, elevator, quietness, Property manager accessability Cons: Poor air-conditioners, bedding needs updating, mattresses are OK

Family getaway to Maui

Tony, the property owner, was a great dude to work with. He even called me a few days before my stay to verify my arrival time because of issues before where it sometimes takes them extra time to clean between guests. If they are putting that much effort into the cleanliness of the unit, it doesn't hurt my feelings. The unit was exactly what my family needed. We had 8 people in the group, everyone had a bed, the beach was across the street, there was a beautiful view of Haleakala from the entrance stairs and walks. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Our older kids and their significant others are in their 20's, and they enjoyed being able to walk the street a few blocks and check out shopping and food truck and restaurant options. My teenage son enjoyed drawing and relaxing on the lenai. My wife and I have been using VRBO for a lot of years for traveling because we like the fully-equipped options for being able to get food and eat- in and not having to eat out the entire vacation. Tony's unit has a erything we needed for what we wanted to do. He even had beach chairs and items the kids loved having at the beach. Overall, this was truly one of our favorite stays, and we would definitely reach out to Tony again for a future stay on Maui. Thank you Tony!

I would not rent from this person again

The owner of this rental is a poor communicator. We were told by him to contact him a week prior to going on vacation. We tried to contact him multiple times on multiple days. He finally contacted us the night before. When we arrived we found the property to be in need of maintenance. There are 2 ceiling fans that didn’t work, multiple lights in the unit didn’t work, bathroom lights upstairs and downstairs worked intermittently. Some fans were provided but one was full of water!! The pullout couch was awful. The carpet looked very worn and dirty. Many of the pans were so very scraped up and rusted so they couldn’t be used. The only redeeming quality of this unit is the location.

The Good and the Not So Good

Beautiful location- views and beach, sunset awesome.from balcony. Access to local towns of Kihei and Wailea in walking distance. Great restaurants close by including on upside The Four Seasons restaurants, Masaharu Morimoto in the Andaz Maui and others. Then there are local specialty restaurants including Mediterranean, Thai, Chinese, Inidan, Hawaiian, American and lots of Seafood in all types of price ranges. Didn't have a bad meal in two months stay. On the other side the condo complex is 50 years old and the grounds, pool, parking are all great with beautiful shrubs. The individulal unit is as described in VRBO, however, the unit is very tired and outside of good TV/ Streaming services.....is in need of a renovation. The unit is superficially clean. This worked well for us (2 adults) and the property manager indicated that the rent is reflective of the condition. I have not done any comparison shopping. As far as the property manager, he was very accomodating and when we had a leaky dishwasher, he immediately had it replaced with a new one. He made the facility easy to access and leave with a key box and was available when we had questions. So, it's an indvidual choice of what one desires. .

This charming and spacious condominium with ocean views, set in beautifully landscaped grounds is located across the street from Kamaole Beach Park III, one of Kihei’s premier beach, great for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, sunning and spectacular sunsets. Property amenities is including tennis court, two swimming pools, two BBQ area and elevator. Hale Kamaole Resort, is walking distance to all entertainment in Kihei and just one mile to Wailea.

The unit is a large with split level, two bedroom, two bath with a loft as a third bedroom and private lanai. It's fully furnished with Its amenities including equipped kitchen, cable TV, free wired Internet, DVD player, washer/dryer, ceiling fans, air conditioning in the bedrooms and also beach equipment.

The down stairs master bedroom has a king size bed, the 2ND bedroom upstairs has king beds, the loft has two twin size bed, and the living room has a sofa bed, so you can comfortably sleep 6 to 8 people.
