Only 300 feet to the beach: The Duck House (formerly known as Jewel of the Isle) has thought of everything to satisfy every family member on vacation. Each of the 8 bedrooms has its own private bathroom, a TV and many have deck access. Its location is ideal being just a short distance to the Duck Landing beach access. Gather your family and friends and enjoy the good life at The Duck House. [Note: No dogs or other animals allowed in this home.]

Beds: 4 King Masters, 1 Queen Master, 2 Twins Master, 2 Pyramid Bunk Bed Masters (2 Bunk Bed sets in each bedroom); 20 Towels Sets provided

TOP LEVEL:
An airy, open living area can accommodate everyone with a cook top, 2 dishwashers, 2 dining tables (each seats 10), and an over-sized flat screen TV and half bath. The King Master Suite has a large, remodeled master bath. The top level has access to wide open decks to the east and north side of the house. An elevator connects all levels of this home. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

MID LEVEL:
On this level you will find 4 Master Bedrooms all with deck access: 2 King Master Suites are at the front of the house; a Queen Master Suite and another master suite with 2 Pyramid Bunk Sets are at the back of the house. There is also a sitting room in between these bedrooms for watching TV or reading.

GROUND LEVEL:
The Lounge features a Shuffleboard table, kitchenette, beverage center, and large-screen TV. Three more Master bedrooms are located on the ground level: a King Master Suite, a Master Suite with 2 Twin beds and another with 2 Pyramid Bunk Sets. The laundry area is on this level. There is parking for 4-5 vehicles in the driveway pad at the front of the house.

EXTRAS:
The home features an fenced in and large private pool (15' x 31'; pool heat available for an additional fee), hot tub, and a private volleyball court! The Duck Landing Community Clubhouse features an indoor pool that is open year-round, fitness center and pickleball courts.

Lots to offer

This house is a great location and has lots to offer, beautifully decorated, and well kept by the owner. We had no complaints. Easy walk to the beach too. Lots for kids and adults of all ages, great yard for playing games too.

Early Spring in Duck, OBX at Jewel of the Isle

What a perfect home and ideal location for our multi-generational family vacation! We choose OBX this year as our destination and were lucky enough to find Jewel of the Isle. Bright and open living space with three floors offering entertainment for everyone. The elevator proved very handy and the hot tub was a welcome relief after a day of exploring. Only steps to the beautiful beach, even less to the community pool and gym, and so close to Duck Donuts!!! (which ended up being a daily visit) The awesome local shops, restaurants, and fresh veggie stands are so close. No car is needed here!

This property was perfect for our large group. Very close to the beach,

The check in process was seamless. The kitchen had more than enough dishes, pans, serving dishes. 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks and 2 large tables to accommodate our large group. The bottom floor game room was used frequently. The pool and hot tub were perfect and the volleyball court provided hours of fun. We didn't have to use the club house, the weather was perfect, but it was also very clean. We would definitely stay in this beautiful home again.

Overall property was nice and spacious. It had some issue's, none of the bathrooms were cleaned properly, 1 bathroom had hair in the tub, a shower curtain had mildew on it, there was dirty dishes in with the clean ones, dishwasher did not "Clean" properly, the upstairs fridge took 3 days to actually get cold. It would really be nicer if it had some major upgrades, the wifi wasn't connecting properly and for a 8 bedroom home, that sleeps over 20 people the wifi should be better. One thing that made my family a little bit uncomfortable was the fact that the homeowners had family pictures throughout the entire house. We thought it was strange to have your families photos for strangers to see. Furniture was very uncomfortable, couches and beds.

Beach vacation heaven

The property images are accurate. All rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We were a large group and having multiple living spaces was a huge plus. The house is super close to the public beach access and local restaurants.

First OBX Duck Vacation

We booked this trip as a replacement vacation during these crazy times. We ranged from a 9 month old to my 96 year old grandfather. I was worried because the house was still available at such a late date. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition and location of the house. We were 3 houses from the beach access. The house was close enough to walk back and forth for all our children. They would walk back for lunch or a quick swim in the pool. The house was also close to the town so they would walk or ride their bikes in each day. The property was everything we were looking for and one that I would use for my next trip to Duck... and I hope that will be soon.

Great house!

This house was great. Very short walk to the beach, pool, hot tub, plenty of space. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you have to bring everything - from hand towels to hand soap, dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, they didn’t even have salt/pepper. Usually rental houses at least have cooking spray. Just be prepared for that and you will be good!

Fan stove broken, disposal broke leaving main sink out of order for 24, light bulbs including refri

Refrigerator out, no light or exhaust fan in first floor bathroom, grill very dirty and low on propane, cheap beds in 2nd floor bunk room that squeaked every time you moved. One girl had to sleep in hall all 7nights. Nice location, but to many "open" repairs needed. Paramount Destinations needs along with owners and get thing better. Only one cutting board and dull knives.

Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not as clean as it should have been. Appliances and grill were not efficient or in good working order. Pool was much too cold to use. Linens inadequate. Wifi problems and septic backed up which should not have happened if maintained properly.

It is also just a short walk to Duck with its many shops and restaurants. The interior of this house is nice and spacious and in good shape. On the other hand, the exterior and pool area need some attention. Some paint, new pool furniture and a larger grill would go a long way in improving this property We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again with improvements.

Large House

Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location and very large house that works for a big family. Furnishing in main room lacking chairs and bar stools at proper height for counter. Pool liner needs work. Grill is very poor and too small for a house that holds so many people. Rugs were could have been cleaned. Umbrellas around the pool are needed. Very sparse furniture on the decking around the house. Check in time can be as late as 6 pm and we were told we could not even go to put cold food away by the management after we were on the road traveling for 7 hours( not a good start to our stay). We will rent it again because of the size and location.
