Telluride Gold: 2bd/2.5bth STEPS to the gondola!

Located in the heart of Telluride & steps to the free gondola, the tranquil river trail & our historic main street, Telluride Gold gives guests instant access to the mountain lifestyle! This 2 bed / 2.5 bath condo has a gas fireplace to put the exclamation point on any Telluride adventure. Throw in stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, leather luxury and wood floors throughout and you have a boutique basecamp in Telluride's central historic district!



THE SPACE:
This is a ground level property with easy access. This split level condo begins with an open floorplan that presents a full kitchen, breakfast bar, 1/2 bath, living room and small dining area. There is a gas fireplace and large south and west facing windows to frame in the space. The views from the dining room table are of the historic train depot, the ski area and Telluride's iconic Ballard Peak!

Downstairs there are two bedrooms and two full baths. The primary bedroom has a Queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a washer and dryer in the unit for guest use. 

There is a small gym in the Gold Dust Building as well as ample ski and gear storage and boot warmers.

Guests will have instant access to the BEST of Telluride with Telluride Gold as a basecamp! We provide a parking space with every stay and guests will enjoy a car-free adventure with this location. Within a block's walk you will encounter our free gondola, a ski lift, historic main street, hiking trailheads, world class dining and the tranquil river trail along the San Miguel River.



OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
This unit is roughly 700 sq/ft and is efficient, comfortable and split out over 2 levels. The location is superb and the off street parking ensures you can "set it and forget it" when it comes to your car! You can walk everywhere in town in minutes.



We also offer a private shuttle service for our guests and information on this will be sent to you in your booking confirmation.

Great location! Walking distance to Gondola, restaurants & shopping. Condo is about two blocks away from the Town Gondola; super convenient transportation to Mountain Village.Condo sleeps 4 adults comfortably. Two additional could sleep on sleeper sofa.Keyless entry into building with additional keyless entry into the unit itself.

Great location

Great location in Telluride with short work to Gondola and main street/shops. Property was clean and overall well maintained. The internal staircase was a bit of a challenge for getting down to the bedrooms on the lower level but there is another set of external stairs that can be used.

Perfect Location, too pricey for quality of condo.

You cannot beat the location, short walk from gondola and main strip. Never used our car once. This is why you book this property.However, after fees it was close to 800/night. Not sure if it is worth the price. I would have expected overall higher quality. The heating would fluctuate \- 5 degrees without touching the thermostat, both upstairs and downstairs. Shower tile was old and dirty. Basic amenities.Everything else was great.

The property was in a fantastic location, super close to the Gondola and downtown. The overall condo was "sleepy" and in much need of some TLC. The dishwasher had a broken rack which was annoying when loading, there were no dressers in the master bedroom so we lived out of our suitcases, and for a family of four there was not much sitting room. The couch was basically a love seat. All of this could have been overlooked if it wasn't for the broken heat downstairs. The temps during our stay were in the low negatives and the thermostat never got about 55 in the downstairs bedrooms. It was miserable, especially having to shower. The place is for sale so maybe the new owner will put some more effort into this condo. Again, great location with so much potential.

Fantastic Stay!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Telluride Gold! Wild Oak Telluride is the best rental company we have ever worked with! We really felt like we were talking to family and they made the rental experience comfortable, easy and super efficient. We had a major delay because of weather and Wild Oak Telluride communicated with us through out the day. It meant so much to us that our rental management company was there for us. The condo is darling, has every amenity you could possibly want. The beds were very, very comfortable, wonderful bedding, and towels what we absolutely adored was the heated floors. What a special touch! Super close to everything in town, very convenient to the gondola, restaurants, and shops. The hot tub was fabulous and we even had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. I Wish I could leave 10 stars instead of five. We have rented vacation properties all over the nation for many many years and this was probably my best experience. Can’t wait to come back! Highly highly recommend this rental and Wild Oak Telluride rental company.

Coolest home I’ve stayed in! Lots of charm, clean & cozy! Check in was a little difficult but it gave us some time to meet the neighbors, which we became instant friends with. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

The best part about this stay is the location. It's about a five minute walk in ski boots to the lift/gondola, and that's about as close as you can get for the price. Pros: - Location - Showers were great and hot - Comfortable beds/pillows - Nice touches from the host with guidebook, candies and wine, and other small things throughout the stay. Cons - I would not say the kitchen is well stocked at all. It's got the bare minimum, so if you're planning on cooking that can be a challenge. - Living room furniture was uncomfortable. All in all, we had a great time. I would probably look for another spot in the future to stay. They have raise the prices after the recent paint job, so it's likely not quite as good of a value as it was when we initially booked it.

The property is well stocked with all items you need in the kitchen and bedrooms.We were greeted with a bottle of red wine, snacks and a few beers and soft drinks in the fridge! The electric fireplace was nice and warm and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi and heated floors in the bedrooms and bathrooms! We would stay here again!

Cute place, great location

Right by the free Gondola and blocks away from Main street, pleasant walk to everywhere. Loved all the hooks in the place, clean and cozy. I only have 2 complaints which is the bedrooms have absolutely no place to put your suitcases, they have dressers but for just a few days we don't unpack. The tiles in the downstairs bathroom need to be cleaned better and the floor of it feels slimy. I would stay there again though, very nice.

It was perfect for the 4 of us. Well stocked, clean. The owner clearly made a welcoming effort. He provided lots of helpful information. The beds were comfortable. The location was perfect in town, close to the gondola. And quiet. I would definitely recommend this place and hopefully we will return again. Thank you!

Terrific location, awesome communication, spotless and charming

This is a cute little unit close to just about everything in town. I was here for the Telluride Film Festival and even the furthest theater is under a 15 min walk away with most within 5 to 10 mins. Luke was super responsive to a few problems with the appliances and extremely accommodating to all of our requests. Highly recommended and we'll be back! Note: One of the other reviews said that the spiral staircase going down into the lower level is a bit steep. This is true, however, the lower level is also accessible from another set of stairs just outside the main door, and those are nice broad normal stairs, so you can always use that if you need to. This was not a problem for any of us.

Telluride weekend

All was great. Perfect location. Very comfortable beds, sheets, sofa etc. a bit underwhelmed by the hot tub. I would not even list it in the description but I understand why there were no photos of it. I would definitely stay here again - not using the hot tub.

This place is just right for a couple or small family. The location is convenient to everything in town, but is off the busiest streets enough so it’s quiet. Access is very convenient for loading and unloading. Bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen well-equipped.

Truly Golden

This should be the role model for all VRBO's! First was the welcome we received: a nice welcome sign, bottle of wine, beer and sparkling water in the fridge, and candy/granola bars filling two jars. They even included coffee. The place was absolutely clean and had everything we needed. The location was so perfect that we parked our car when we arrived and didn't touch it until the morning we left. Our days and evenings found us exploring the town, trails, and the free gondolas! It was a perfect get-away!! Thank you Luke and staff!!
