Lots of great places to hike and get away from it all!....Strawberry, Black Oak Casino, Long Barn, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and the Sierra mountains are literally at your doorstep. Nick's cabin is centered among all these great mountain destinations!.
Take the short 90 minute drive to Yosemite entrance and enjoy the magnificent Yosemite Valley!.. Nick's Cabin is a beautiful three story, four bedroom two bath cabin with large fire pit and two huge decks! Full central heat and air-conditioning and heat!!!.. Cabin is fully furnished. Central Heat and A/C...All linens, towels, cutlery and cooking utensils are there!. Huge Ducane Stainless Steel BBQ awaits you also! High speed Satellite Internet and WIFI, Steaming TV free!.. 65" 4K TV HD with NETFLIX and ROKU etc. (Using your account) service, and 2x LCD HD TV's for watching your favorite video or TV show in Master loft bedroom and private downstairs bedroom!...Nick’s Cabin has room for up to 9 people (bunk beds and twin on main floor, along with a Queen bedroom, Huge loft Master bedroom upstairs that offers delightful large Cal King bed with sitting area and views to the mountains... Queen bedroom with full bathroom ensuite downstairs with it's own private deck. Nick's cabin is a few minutes away from all that the Sierra Foothills has to offer!.. If you love the great outdoors and Fall activities,... and you'll love all the appointments of Nick's Cabin! Just a short drive down the mountain and you're in the heart of Sierra Gold Country's picturesque villages like Sonora, Columbia, Jamestown, Twain Harte and Murphys. Great dining, Shopping, Historic locations and Black Oak Casino are only minutes away from Nicks Cabin.

Home away from home

This cabin was all That and all you can ask for! Beautiful with plenty of room, well stocked with everything you can think of, even what you forgot! spices, small toiletries. grill with gas. games for the kids fire pit on the deck and downstairs. It felt like a home away from home. minutes away from strawberry and Pinecrest lake. loved waking up having coffee overlooking the trees, very serene. made some great memories with my family. communication with Mr. Oar was Prompt. We will Most def. be coming back.

Family snow trip

The property was good for our family and accommodated us perfectly. It is a little funky because it’s an older cabin. It did have an intense smoky smell but we got over it after the first night. The cabin was clean and easy to get to. It was also warm and cozy even while snowing outside and heated up quickly upon our arrival. I would recommend bringing pillows from home, the ones provided are very uncomfortable but standard “hotel” quality. Overall a great experience.

Sweet stay for proximity to Pinecrest Lake!

Really nice spot for access to Pinecrest and Dodge Ridge. Chris was very accessible and accommodating. Would definitely return!

Great week!

the cabin is great. Wifi and cell phone (AT&T) reception were strong and clear. I needed to do some work each morning so this was important. AC was a godsend. it was hot and the smoke one day would have been overwhelming without it. Place was clean and the towels were nice. The only thing to note is that there are stairs from the street that made loading and unloading a bit challenging for older folks. Great deck and firepits that made for a fun area for family and friends to gather. thanks for sharing your special place.

family fun in the Sierras

We enjoyed our stay. Good location for seeing different sights. Very comfortable. Chris was very good to work with. Always a quick response. We enjoyed the peaceful deck for breakfast.

Great location for adventure

Had a great time staying at Nick's cabin. The cabin was well appointed and is located in an area that provides easy access to Highway 108 and all of the surrounding activities. We did some fishing at Pinecrest and some Jeeping in the high country. I would recommend the cabin to friends and family and will look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful setting close to Pinecrest lake

Such a Wonderful Place

This place is amazing. It is clean, cozy, spacious and close to everything. Chris is a wonderful person, he replies fast, takes care of everything and has provided many things in the house. I strongly recommend it.

best needed get away vacation

Booked this cabin for a summer get away with family and we loved every part of it. The rooms were spacious and plenty, everything was super clean. The area was so beautiful and the surrounding activities were excellent, from the lake to the movies under the stars and the river everything was so great. Only thing we were disappointed with was in the picture of the house when we booked, it showed a hammock but it wasn't there :(.

Thanks Chris for a wonderful weekend at your cabin!

Chris was an excellent host! He was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. He was also flexible with check-in and had a 12pm check-out, which was extremely helpful. The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for a weekend getaway! The cabin was even better than the pictures! It was updated and very clean. Only encountered minor issues - wifi connection could've been better, hot water ran out quickly if both showers were simultaneously in use, etc. Overall though, my group of family & close friends had a great weekend getaway!

Amazing 5 days

My wife, three kids and I stayed at Nicks cabin with my sister in law and her son for 5 amazing relaxing days. Everything super clean and fully stocked. The kids enjoyed the three places to have a nice fire, especially the big fire pit down below making s’mores. Very quiet and relaxing location. The provided grille on the deck made us some delicious tri-tips on our final night. We plan on rebooking Nicks cabin again in the future. Chris was very responsive to our few questions which made everything a breeze! Thanks again!

Stay at Nick's Cabin for family of 5

We loved Nick's Cabin!! It was beautiful and easy to get to. The beds were comfortable and the loft bedroom was especially appreciated! We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Also, it is close to a bunch of great hikes and day trip excursions.

Nice cabin - exactly as the photos

We had a great time relaxing in this mountain cabin. It is away from the main street, so it is quite tranquil. Really nice touches to the house, a well-stocked kitchen, and a hammock on one of the deck made it perfect. Chris was very responsive through chat and email and answered all my silly questions immediately. I would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect location for a getaway

This cabin is great. Plenty of space for you and your family or a few families to spread out. Stocked with all the necessities to include bug spray and sunscreen. The lake is a short 10 minute or so drive away and there is a trail that you can explore right at the end of the culdesac. Communication with the owner was great, I especially appreciated the hand written note and chocolates. All sorts of movies and games for you to enjoy. The kids loved every part of it. We will be returning.

We use this property as a family vacation getaway for Summer and Winter fun at Pinecrest Lake or skiing at Dodge Ridge in the winter. It is perfectly located close to both with everything we need nearby in Strawberry or down the road in Sonora.

You won't find a nicer luxury cabin rental in the area! This is our personal weekend cabin that we just don't use much. Quality EVERYTHING!... Enjoy!
