Escape to resort-style home on a quiet cul-de-sac! Feel at home, yet pampered, in spacious 4000 sq ft of living space with fully appointed kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, game room, office and living areas. Walk to the stores, park and beach! Watch the sun set into the ocean from the upstairs balcony, then head to the outside living area for secluded dinners in the evening.



The home is well stocked with every amenity (and surprises) that you may need. We communicate with our guests before arrival to be sure that we provide you with the stay of your dreams.

Our guests say they’ve never felt so pampered! We want you to feel at home and know that just about everything you need (and didn’t know you needed) is right here! Family get-togethers, reunions, wedding groups and groups staying for events in SD will find that this is the place for you.

Three separate indoor areas to gather as well as two outdoor patios, spa area and built in grill for bbq’s! A well stocked gourmet kitchen with every gadget you can imagine allows individual or group cooking. We will shop for and pre stock your choice of coffee, tea, milk, creamer, sweetener, fresh fruit, eggs, butter and English muffins or croissants for your first breakfast.

Plenty of comfy beds, linens and towels and snuggly blankets for cool Carlsbad evenings.

The media/game room has a 75” Smart TV with Bose surround sound and complimentary movie night snacks and beverages.

Board games galore, kids toys, lots of books for all ages and some classic DVDs.

Beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and a beach umbrella help you get ready to the beach.

Enjoy your morning coffee or dinners al fresco in the front and back secluded patios or watch the sun set into the Pacific Ocean from the upstairs master bedroom balcony.

Walk to Von’s grocery store, Rite-Aid (Thrifty ice-cream!), Leucadia Pizzeria, Starbucks and The Village Pie Shop for a meal or late night treat!

If your group likes to be together, yet also enjoys some private spaces…this is the place for you!

Staying here with family was wonderful! So close to everything, the quality of the furnishings was top notch, the place was clean and well-stocked with incidentals (coffee, condiments, etc). It was very nice to sit out in the backyard. We also very much appreciate that they encourage recycling. We didn't take any photos, but the ones on VRBO reflect what a nice place this is. Everything went smoothly and we would stay here again.

Carlsbad reunion

We have had many good experiences with our VRBO stays, but this stay exceeded our expectations. The home, the hosts, the location were exceptional. The amenities and thoughtful touches were unexpected and very much appreciated. This is an A experience.

Family Celebration

What a perfect location in relation to the beach, shops & restaurants, and Legoland. It fit our family of 10 perfectly & the hosts were so incredibly thoughtful! This is definitely a desirable rental for a family reunion such as ours. A beautiful home with kind hosts.

Spacious comfortable home with stellar hosts

The house was even more spacious than I had expected, with lots of comfortable nooks and other areas to hang out. But the best part was the hosts, who went above and beyond. A lovely place to stay!

Wedding week

The property is well equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. We booked this property for 4 adult couples (family) to stay together for wedding week for our son. Owners were responsive and accommodating. It’s a beautiful home and the pictures really don’t do it justice.

February at the beach and LegoLand

One week stay with entire family. 6 adults (mom, dad , 3 adult children and their spouses and 2 grand kids (5&7). Plenty of room. Great kitchen. Great hot tub. Near beaches and parks. Short walk to food store. Short drive to restaurants. Owner very helpful. House manual explained all appliances and entertainment center. Great place to stay for a large group.

Perfect!

The property is immaculate. Kitchen is well-stocked and has high-quality tools. BBQ works very well. Owners are a true pleasure to work with. We had to use the AC since we traveled during a heat wave; the unit adequately cools the house. Great experience!

Nice home

The facility is very nice & clean. Well equipped too. The quiet location with Vons/Rite-Aid is within walking distance. A little higher water pressure would be nice for the shower. The ONLY negative is parking. For a unit of 10 people - at least 2 cars and sometimes 3 cars require parking. The driveway can squeeze 2 cars - being a culdesac location street parking is tight but available. The hosts are VERY RESPONSIVE. I would recommend to friends.

California requires that shower heads have a maximum flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute (gpm). That’s what we have for our shower heads. Sorry, that can’t be changed. No one has ever said there wasn’t space for parking even with four cars. After almost three years, this is the first we didn’t receive 5 stars and a rave review.

Perfect for multi-family reunion!

We had multiple families convene from west and east coast for a multi-family reunion in Carlsbad. Dana & Ron’s home was perfect for us! It was so inviting and comfortable that no one was wanting to leave. The kids felt right at home with all the age appropriate touches & accommodations. We even had a specific request that the host happily and easily provided for us last minute. Every little special touch (snacks in the media room; drinks in the beverage fridges and much more) made the stay truly feel like a home. We all can not wait to stay again! I’d highly recommend their home.

Amazing house close to the beach, restaurants and shopping

We have rented many times from VRBO and this was one of best rental experiences to date. Dana and Ron went above and beyond getting the house ready for us, complete with snacks in the media room for our kids (which they absolutely loved), drinks in the fridge and even chocolate on each of our pillows! The house was beautifully furnished and had plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages ranging from 2-14). Great shopping, restaurants and the beach were all just a minute away. We didn’t have any beach toys with us and they called up their neighbors who graciously lent us beach toys, boogie boards and beach towels. Wonderful time had by all and definitely a 5 star stay for us!

BEST EVER

The home is absolutely beautiful, clean and had everything that you would need. Plenty of room, children’s toys, game room with snacks , lots of pots and pans, air fryer, crockpot , beautiful backyard and garden, plenty of beach towels,close to the beach and grocery store , a few miles from Legoland and very comfortable. Ron and Dana are super nice and very quick to respond to questions. We had four generations under one roof and we made wonderful memories. We want to come again soon HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I’d give it a higher rate that 5. Quiet neighborhood.

Beach Time 2023

Our family had an amazing time visiting Carlsbad. Ron and Dana’s home was perfect for our large family vacation. This beautiful home is immaculate with everything you could possibly need to accommodate all ages. After a day at the beach, dolphin/whale excursions, or any of the numerous nearby activities it was so nice to comeback to a luxurious home and unwind in the jacuzzi, grill our dinner, eat alfresco on the beautiful patio, then settle in for the night watching a movie or having a family game night in the media room. We also took advantage of the many local dining options nearby - so quaint and charming! Having stayed at many vrbo’s over the years, this property is our favorite. Ron and Dana went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one.

Best Home Ever

Staying at the Withall home was the best experience we have had staying in a private home. This house was in a great location and incredibly equipped...from the kitchen to the bathroom to the bedrooms and outside! Dana And Ron thought of everything a guest could possibly want and then some. Their kitchen had EVERYTHING, and they even had a drink refrigerator which they stocked with waters and sparkling drinks. In the upstairs media room, they provided salty treats and gummies. The towels in the bathrooms were thick, and the showers had everything you could want. The beds were so comfortable, and tons of blankets, throws, pillows, were there for the taking. Any communication I had with the hosts was responded to immediately. And, contrary to many homes where they tell you, "please do not touch", these hosts had signs that said..."please use!"

Exceeded our expectations!

This is such a beautiful home! From the moment we walked into the house to the moment we left was such a memorable experience for our family of eight. Our three little girls under 5 were so excited to have a bed low to the ground.. perfect size for them! And a closet with awesome toys and dolls to play with :) Our older boys loved playing the amazing piano and relaxing in the hot tub after long days of boogie boarding and surfing! There were plenty of towels, chairs, beach toys, and boogie boards to use including a beach tent that was delivered for us to use while we were there! The kids really liked that on the beach during the hotter days. We enjoyed a few movie and game nights in the well stocked movie room (yes, a room with surround sound, comfy couches, and snacks)! Besides that, my kids enjoyed a screen and electronics free 10 days thanks to the welcoming layout of the home and relaxing spaces indoor and out. Dana was so kind and accommodating to all our needs. She even sent a few ideas of fun things to do with the kids while we were there like a farmers market and watermelon picking and let my kids pick some yummy veggies from her garden. Thank you, Dana and Ron for sharing your wonderful home with us and for making our family vacation one we will never forget.

Way Above and Beyond! Very detailed and caring!!! Thank you!

Summary: Fantastic Hosts! Beautiful home and close to everything! 5 minute walk to Vons, Rite aide and Thrifty ice cream. About a 30 minute walk to Tamarak Beach. Beautiful sunsets from the upstairs balcony. Dana and Ron were super responsive before, during, and after our stay. They have a manual for the home that outlines EVERYTHING. If for some reason something wasn't outlined, they were very quick to respond to our requests and questions (usually within seconds!) You can tell there is love and care in this home! Treats and yummy surprises were left throughout the home. Most everything was labeled and easily accessible. We continually felt "at home" and very relaxed... leaving was the worst part! Highly recommend this home and Dana and Ron in general! Amazing people and amazing home! Thank you! Detailed experience: There were 10 of us that stayed at this amazing home and not once did we feel crowded or on top of each other. Before arriving, I had let them know why we were going out there and when mentioned we would have the kids, they suggested we look into the strawberry fields, also let us know all the beach gear they had at the house. Upon arrival, we had some wonderful surprises waiting for us. There was a home manual that spelt out everything. There was an instant feeling of being at home and relaxed. After figuring out the sleeping arrangements, we took in the beautiful view from the upstairs balcony! Throughout our stay, whenever we had questions, we send Ron and Dana a text message and they were so quick to get back. They did an amazing job helping us feel right at home. The kids enjoyed the toys in the upstairs closet there were dolls and legos and the kids LOVED having the dolls since they forgot their dolls at home. We made meals everyday and... the kitchen... just WOW! Pretty much any appliance or gadget you will ever need! Also, one of our favorite dishes is Pesto and it was so fun being able to use their fresh basil from the garden to make it! It was so nice to have boogy boards, umbrellas, chairs, beach towels and beach toys to take with us to the beach. One of the favorite things was the hot tub after the beach. I'm sure most people will not read this far. But for those, like me, who really appreciate the details, you will love this home and the hosts! This is by far the BEST experience I have had renting someone's home. Thank you Ron and Dana I highly recommend your home. Thank you for the wonderful experience! 5 STARS!

Mom and daughters reunion

We had a fabulous vacation at this spacious, spotless, well stocked, and well situated Carlsbad home. We enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen, dining Al fresco, grilling, and resting and relaxing like queens. We had everything we needed and more. Our very generous hosts paid attention to every detail. We have never stayed at such a beautiful property. Thank you both so much for our most memorable and long overdue family vacation and birthday celebrations.

The perfect vacation spot

The homeowner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, and had everything you would possibly want. The most accommodating and pampering experience

These hosts take vacation rental to a new high! We can’t say enough! They gave us a warm welcome with everything needed for our sons 30th birthday celebration. If you forgot anything, they have it! They are incredibly generous with their home. The location was wonderful and the house was perfect for our large family. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! If you can rent it, do it! You will not be disappointed. Thank you Ron and Dana for everything!

Home sweet home

The house was amazing and the host were caring. They were very communicative with us and made sure we were well taken care of. The host even left gifts for our kiddos and us. It couldn’t have been any better! We will definitely be going back!

Excellent experience and property

My sister and I, our husbands, and teenage kids, stayed for four nights in this amazing house. The access to the house was easy and no hassles. We walked in and felt very comfortable, like we were at home. (Our dream home) Upon our arrival, our hosts left a pleasant surprise on the kitchen counter to welcome us. They asked if we were celebrating anything on our trip, so a birthday cake, balloons and a bottle of Martinellis on ice, for the 4 birthdays that we were celebrating, started our vacation off with a high note. There was literally everything we needed there and MORE. The home was extremely clean and we felt like we were in a resort with all of the amenities. The beds were heavenly, with chocolates on every nightstand. There were two mini friges with complementary drinks and a media room upstairs with complementary snack, candies, and a big screen tv with surround sound like at a theatre. The home is more beautiful in person than the online pics. The master suite has a balcony that you can catch a gorgeous sunset if you time it right. If you cook........this place has a VERY well stocked BIG kitchen to do so. Lots of room if you have a few cooks during your stay. A great laundry room to use if needed. Everyone enjoyed the jacuzzi and we cooked on the outdoor BBQ that was emaculate. Vons is 3 blocks, starbucks is 4, and a few little mom and pop restaurants to try, right there as well. Our hosts, Ron and Dana have set up their home for your stay as if you are family guests, not customers but with resort like touches. They have an exceptional 3 ring binder with ALL the info you will need for your stay, from the A/C to places to eat with their personal ratings. Ron and Dana would respond alomst immediately if we had any questions. Each day there, we drove 30-40 minutes to San Diego, to explore and then a quick drive back to relax at the house, with PLENTY of room for everyone to spread out if needed or pull together to interact for meals, games, movies, etc. The beach was a 3 minute drive where the kids rented surfboards to get the full experience in the waves. I can't say enough about this place and the only thing we all didn't like was............. we couldn't stay longer. THANK YOU Ron & Dana for everything.
