Skin and Bones | New Build, Beachfront!

Skin and Bones are located at the far east end of Galveston Island - 4 large bedrooms with 3.5 baths - newer construction.   She's a skin doctor, he's a bone doctor - welcome to Skin & Bones. The home is located in the gated community of The Preserve at Grand Beach Galveston.  Skin and Bones will accommodate up to 10 guests and features two decks for a full view of the East end of Galveston Island.  Guests are a short bike ride away from the historic Strand and all that East Beach has to offer. This beauty has an open floor plan with a large, fenced yard.

The open concept living/dining/kitchen area has great flow where the family may enjoy relaxing, playing games at the large dining table, and meal preparation in this well-appointed modern kitchen.  The fourth bedroom is located on the first level of the home and is two twin bunks (sleeps 4) which has a full bath. The half bath is also located on the first level of the home.  The other three bedrooms are upstairs (2nd floor).  The primary bedroom has a queen bed with an en-suite bath featuring a separate tub and step-in shower and a walk-out deck for morning coffee while guests watch as the ships pull in and out of Galveston harbor.  The second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed and share a jack-and-jill bath.  They are also located on the second floor of the home.  

Come and enjoy something new and different on the East Beach of Galveston.  The Skin and Bones home will delight even the most particular guest!  This home has ample entertainment opportunities, close to the beach, and has gorgeous views.  Events, parties, or guests attending prom are prohibited at this home. These provisions are strictly enforced by Ryson Vacation Rentals.

THE PRESERVE AT GRAND BEACH

The Preserve at the Grand Beach, located on East Beach, is one of the newest subdivisions and was developed by Mickey Giles and Frank Schaefer to bring the first gated beachfront community to Galveston Island. The Preserve is just minutes away from Galveston’s Historic Downtown, Strand and Postoffice Districts, Seawall Boulevard, and the free Galveston-Boliver ferry.

Ryson partners exclusively with Gulf Coast Concierge to make your time on the island unforgettable! Gulf Coast Concierge understands it's the little things that count. Create your own adventures with beach gear and golf cart rentals, a sunset cruise, or a bonfire and smores on the beach. Gulf Coast Concierge also offers fishing charters, photo sessions, and a variety of in-home services. If you can dream it, we will do our best to make it happen!

Some of the properties Ryson manages require additional fees for things like parking passes, resort fees, amenity wristbands, etc. be paid to the HOA upon arrival directly. Resort amenities, including advertised elevators, require maintenance and from time to time may be unavailable for guest use. Every effort will be made by Ryson to notify the respective HOA. However, please understand, Ryson has no control or authority in completing necessary repairs or routine maintenance. If elevator use is a requirement for any guests during your stay, please contact Ryson prior to booking, and we're happy to go over available options (alternate elevator available on-premises or locating a better-limited mobility-friendly access unit).

Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and the cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.

All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.


EXTENDED STAYS

Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students, and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

Ryson, established in 2006, is the largest local vacation rental provider on Galveston Island, offering close to 300 vacation rentals, including Ryson's Luxury Collection, in-house maintenance, housekeeping, inspection, laundry, and property management. Ryson’s team of Vacation Planners are Certified Tourism Ambassadors and are more than happy to work with guests interested in renting multiple homes, as they offer expansive local knowledge and know Ryson's vacation homes.

This was our second stay at the property and we loved it as much as the first. Location, access to the beach, and the wonderful house itself make this an ideal Galveston rental!

Only one change/recommendation from the group and that would be to add an access from the property directly to the beach. Our group was 50-80 yo so we drove to the beach

Beautiful house and location…annoying ants and mosquitos!
Beautiful home inside and out and amazing location! Lots of room, perfect fit for our family! Would have enjoyed our stay a lot more without the ants inside the house the entire stay. We called the rental company and they delivered a big bottle of ant spray with no sprayer. I called again and the next day they delivered a can of raid and some bait that takes 48 hrs to 2 weeks to work per google. Everything was left outside the door. The ants started in living room the first night so we couldn’t even enjoy the furniture. They were on the couch. They then made their way to kitchen counters and downstairs bedroom. I feel like you should have come inside to get rid of them. Outside the mosquitos were HORRIBLE. Take tons of off. they are huge. I would recommend something is sprayed or some type of mosquito bait is placed outside by rental company! I would definitely stay here again if they got the ants and mosquitos under control but until then would prob find another home in same area.
