This property is a vacation rental with a self-catering concept, not a full-service hotel. As clearly stated in our arrival instructions, we provide a complimentary starter package that includes essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dishwasher pods, and other convenience items to help guests settle in comfortably. Guests staying for an extended period are expected to purchase additional personal items and supplies based on their individual needs and preferences. The same applies to toiletries such as shampoo and body wash. We intentionally do not provide personal hygiene products because guests often prefer their own specific brands and products. The electricity policy was also fully disclosed prior to booking in the House Rules and was again communicated immediately after the reservation was made. Guests have a free cancellation period after booking, providing ample opportunity to review all terms and decide whether the property is a good fit for their needs. We believe our electricity model is fair, as guests only pay for the power they actually use rather than all guests paying increased rental rates to subsidize unusually high consumption. Regarding the style of the home, the property is represented accurately and transparently in the listing photos. The design, furniture, color scheme, and overall atmosphere shown online are exactly what guests can expect upon arrival. For that reason, it is difficult to understand criticism of the home’s style or appearance after booking, as the property delivered precisely the experience and presentation that was advertised in advance. Personal preferences regarding décor will naturally vary from guest to guest, but the home itself was accurately represented at all times. Lastly, while the guest mentions several complaints in the review, it is important to note that the review itself also confirms that the property was clean upon arrival, which is something our team takes great pride in.
