EdiStar at Edisto Beach

Welcome to EdiStar with backside facing to private & quiet Point Street. EdiStar enjoys the ocean breeze & view from both inside and out. The deck and porch are great to take in the ocean views & sounds by day and on a clear night amazing star gazing by night. From the open deck you can enjoy the colors of sunrise & sunset, or simply relax to the sounds of the ocean.

The recently updated home has open concept living, with a combined kitchen/dining/living area & split bedroom floorplan. Edistar is completed with a covered/enclosed sun porch that has extra living, dining, reading space, foosball table & giant Jenga. Beyond the enclosed & covered porch that is filled with light and air from its many windows is the large open sundeck.

Downstairs you will find beach toys & chairs in addition to a plethora of games for kids of all ages. Including, Ping Pong table, cornhole, bocci ball, croquet, giant connect four, beach tennis paddles & more.

We supply both a gas and charcoal grill, we start the season with a full tank of propane and ask the guest to continue that in perpetuity for each other as we aren't there.

The pet area was great feature at this house. The kitchen had everything available for making meals. Limited use of TV channels, always asked for subscription for most of the selection picked which was a disappointment.Couple issues that we encountered was with various gaps in the flooring. Almost stub my toes and had to watch my balance walking between master bedroom and bathroom.

This floorplan was perfect for our extended family of 9 adults plus 3 dogs. Two bedrooms on either side of the house and the barn doors separating the bedrooms/bathroom from the main area gave privacy. Enough room for everyone. Huge kitchen counter with dinner table for 6 and lots of extra barstools. Well stocked kitchen. Amazing sunroom and sun deck with plenty of lounge chairs, adirondack chairs and tables facing the ocean. Fun games. Fenced backyard and gates on porches ensure pets or little ones don't escape. Walkway to beach very close. Quiet street. Host responds immediatley. Older but well maintained and furnished house. We really enjoyed our stay. Just needs a swing underneath. We will stay here again!

Great stay

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The sun room and the large deck were great for quality family time. The location was unbeatable. It was only a short walk to the beach and we were close to great restaurants and shops. This beach house truly felt like a home away from home. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning.

this was the third time we’d booked a weekend getaway on edisto and this house takes the cake! we did not want to leave and we can’t wait to go back.

Laid back beach trip

Property was very clean, had all the kitchen tools we needed as well as games and beach toys to use. Had a blast and it was great for the dogs as well.

Family Spring Break

We had a wonderful time! The split floor plan was wonderful for our family and the fenced in yard a great benefit for our dogs. So nice to be so close to the beach with a toddler and dogs, and the quiet street made it even less stressful managing all the things.

Great Stay at 2804

We had a great stay. The house was setup well for us and our two dogs. The yard is large enough for our dogs to run around. The property is close enough to the beach to hear the surf and the back deck is on a quiet street.The kitchen was well equipped and the house was very clean.

A great choice

The EdiStar is vintage Edisto style, but the house has been updated and is thoughtfully prepared for guests. We found everything we needed and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the bath products and all the beach chairs, games, umbrellas, etc. that were available. It's also a luxury to have linens provided and beds made upon arrival. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We would gladly return.

Iconic Beach Rental

Location!!!! Location!!!! Quiet street literal steps to the beach, fenced in yard (rare find), SO MANY extras-games especially. It is clear that the owners put thought into making this property a one of a kind experience for everyone. Would highly recommend for those that want the true beach vacation.

Beach trip with young adult and grandbaby

Just too short!! The location and set up of this house is wonderful! Great design for couples/families to have some privacy and lots of thoughtful details in the house. Host response to a few questions was very prompt. Would definitely stay at the home again.

"We Like This Place"

Those were the words of our 3 grandchildren. There were so many things in the house for them to do and play with when they weren't on the beach. They certainly never had a boring moment! (They also got to be a part of the experience of helping the hatched turtles find their home in the sea!) I only wish this house was a bit bigger so we we book it for next year as we'll have a great-grand then. It's a great beach house with much to offer!

Perfect Escape

Edistar had everything we needed to escape and more - comfy beds, tons of fun puzzles and games (ex. giant Uno and Jenga), cozy sitting spaces, a huge deck for entertaining, grills, beach chairs and toys, two large refrigerators and freezers, a washer and dryer, outdoor shower, and most important, a warm family feeling! Did I mention it’s literally steps from the beach? The owner was super responsive which made the whole thing easy-peasy. I’d love to come back next year.

Edistar! We loved it!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Edistar! It was comfortable for our extended family of 12 and we loved the proximity to the beach. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. As a mother of 4, I appreciated the simple touches, such as plenty of hooks in the bathrooms/bedrooms for hanging bath linens, bags, etc. It helped keep everything neat and organized. Colleen was super responsive and helpful. We would love to stay again in the future!

Perfect Beach Location

Walk across the street and straight into the ocean! The sun porch with large windows that open to let the breezes blow is ideal for morning coffee and afternoon naps. The 3rd bathroom is not accessible from inside the home, located on the ground floor, perfect to rinse off after the beach. The host was very responsive and lovely to work with.

Family Vacation

This beach house rental is basically perfect! The Edistar more than comfortably fit 7 adults and a medium to large sized dog. The home was clean and well-equipped, as well as extremely close to a beach access. The space offers a multitude of places to sit/lounge and a spacious, functional kitchen. The beds were so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to anyone looking to enjoy a cozy, quiet, convenient trip to Edisto Beach! We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful getaway

We loved this house for us and our pups. It was exactly as advertised. Leave your beach chairs at home! There were at least 6 available for use along with loads of beach toys. Plenty of room and different areas to hang out and relax with a lot of different furniture. It was great to tan on the back deck listening to the waves. We had a blast playing foozeball and giant Jenga in the enclosed porch when it rained. And when it was nice, and you opened all the window, the lovely breeze went through the whole house. And you could absolutely hear the ocean. The beach access is literally right across a quiet street. And in late April during the week, we had the beach mostly to ourselves. The drive into Charleston was easy too! This was our first trip to Edisto and would love to go back!

Colleen was fabulous to work with! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay.

This property was perfect! Colleen was always available if a question came up. It was a perfect for my mom, my daughter and myself - a girl trip! Just a short walk to the beach - which was wonderful for my mom. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and read. We made some wonderful memories!

We are always working to improve and maintain Edistar as it is incredibly special to all of us. We welcome all suggestions from our guests as to how we can improve it to make it perfect for them to best enjoy their stays.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Location is 2nd only to ocean front, much thought was put into everything selected for the home. We stay in the home and add anything we feel is missing or not up to our standard. It is on the paved part of Point Street which is only a short section, no traffic, large fenced yard. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and come together.
