Fishermans Quay North Bunkhouse

Located in Sitka's active fishing district, and a short walk from downtown, the Fisherman's Quay offers three spacious lodging units. Available for daily, weekly, monthly, and shared rental, the Quay is sure to meet your accommodation needs regardless of party size.

About Bunkhouse North and South
Facing Katlian St. on the first floor, lodging units have been designed to efficiently accommodate a large family or group of friends in a cabin-style atmosphere. The layout provides for intimate gatherings of smaller parties, as well. Both bunkhouse units offer full-sized kitchens, group dining, quality furnishings, fixtures, and finishes. The units are connected by an interior doorway so that groups of up to 20 can effectively make the FQ their central staging area for exploring Sitka's great outdoors.

About Bunkhouse North
Bunkhouse North sleeps up to ten in two private bedrooms each with full bunk beds, comfortable LaCrosse queen, and twin sleeper sofas in the living room.

Free use of FQ kayak fleet--singles, tandems & raptors (stable, double-hull kayaks)
In-town historic waterfront location
Private marina, short-term moorage options
Fully equipped kitchen, cozy cabin-style layout
Seafood processing facility including fillet station, vacuum packer and rack freezers.
Enjoy your meals and drinks on the outer dock or under the pavilion with commanding views of Sitka Channel and fishing vessel activities.

Going fishing? Your sport charter boat can pick you up directly from the FQ marina. Afterward you can choose to process your own catch here at the FQ, or have it commercially processed through your charter service. Large group fees may apply.

Property was very clean and comfortable. Access to bikes and kayaks and the water was an excellent plus! We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was fully equipped. Would definitely stay there again.

Sitka Fishing Trip

We had a fabulous time in Sitka. We fished for 2 days and explored for 1 day, however another day would have been nice. The vacation rental was perfect for our party. Each person had their own bed, the kitchen had everything one might need. The location was perfect. The boat picked us up right outside our door and it was a walkable distance to the center of town. What a fabulous visit we had!

The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. Very clean. The location is the best part, on the water and within walking distance of everything Sitka!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for a fishing camp. Our charter boat picked us up 50 yards from the property, making is super convenient. The bunk beds were great. The sofa bed was uncomfortable to sleep on, but virtually all of them are, so no fault to the property. Kitchen was great. Kayaks and bikes are available, and it's a short walk into town. I'd definitely stay here again!

Fortunately, I didn't bring a significant other, because the units were furnished with only bunk beds. The apartment was comfortable, but I couldn't imagine staying there with 4 people.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean well stocked. Good location and close to town. Walking distance to most things and bicycle available for longer treks. Have stayed there twice and booked for next year as well. Rented north and south bunkhouse together as they have adjoining door. The only thing that needed attention was the two bbq grills which we used almost every night. They may need replacing soon.

It's a great location, close to town and our fishing boats met us at the dock just outside the door. The owners were very accommodating, letting us store our luggage for a late flight. Nice Stay at the Quay!

We enjoyed our stay at FQ N. Bunkhouse. It's an easy walk to town and convenient driving location for groceries, etc. The activity of the docks and channel are fun to be in if you enjoy boats and seeing an occasional sea lion! This property may not be ideal for small children unless very closely supervised - the road is close and can be very busy as well as the dock/water hazards. Overall - recommended!

We hiked many trails, bike around town, went deep sea fishing catching our limit, kayaked the harbor/islands, golfed twice, walked to dinner most nights when not grilling our local catch. Staff was excellent with tips,tricks and recommendations. Awesome all around!

A Comfy Convenient Space

Reviewer Comments: The place was adequate and fairly comfortable even if some of the amenities were out of date and not functioning as they stated in the lodge operating manual.The place is naturally dark but has both soft soft and bright lighting. It’s walk to everything location was awesome as town is a 5 min walk or two mon drive.I had ti buy a mattress pad and new pillows as the bed was rock hard, but the kitchen was very well appointed. The as was a bit deceptive as I had expected the whole bunkhouse, with laundry and two baths as the rental agent promised when I called hers spoke with her directly, but we made do.Management made accommodations as needed and were super friendly too!
