Flip Flops on the Hilltop is a 3,200 sq ft coastal retreat with sweeping ocean views.

Flip Flops on the Hilltop is located just 1.5 miles from Georgetown and is only a 12-14 minute drive from the Exuma airport (GGT). Our home is part of the Hideaways Beach Club on Palm Bay. The amenities at Hideaways are included for our guests to enjoy; this includes a pool, club room, workout room, and water toys (kayaks and paddle boards). Splash Restaurant is also on site and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner most of the year.

Lastly, once your booking is confirmed, you will be notified via this platform and via email. We also provide a copy of our Welcome Book which will be very helpful for planning tours, beach visits, renting a car and/or a boat, and checking out the list of restaurants for dining out. Exuma is just beautiful! This vacation home had everything our girls trip needed. It’s a beautiful home and furnished well. Beautiful decor, comfy beds, sofas, chairs. Lots of space to enjoy the view. Inside and out. Great showers and hot water. Lots of individual AC units so that everyone could adjust their sleep temp to what they preferred. Great parking area and the location was very convenient. Very near the airport, grocery and the beach was a super short walk. All the things you need to enjoy a beach day are available to use. The Palm Bay Beach club is a short walk also. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there on different days. Having the pool, kayaks and paddle boards available (free) was a great bonus. There’s some home construction going on nearby and it didn’t bother us one bit. They were quiet and respectful and super friendly. We felt safe going on walks and were well taken care of our entire visit. Great getaway and will stay here again.
They even have great smart TVs. We were able to watch our IU Hoosiers win the national CFC while there. Are amazing Pizza from Splash (short walk).

We loved our stay at Flip Flops on the Hilltop! It was such a perfect house for our family's first time in Exuma! When we first arrived, we couldn't believe how big and wonderful this house is in person! The kitchen was absolutely amazing and definitely had everything we needed! We loved the screened-in porch and spent every night on the huge couch on the 1st floor for movie night, which accommodated all 6 of us! The house's layout was great, and we had all the space we needed. Tons of room and so open. The host, Mike, is the quickest responder to any questions you might have about the house, excursions, etc. I love how he emails a whole welcome book ahead of time, too, with so much great information about Exuma, where to go, and what to do. The property manager, Karin, helped us get set up with our grocery delivery before we arrived at the house and was available to answer any questions you might have about restaurants or anything on the island. Also, this house is in the perfect spot, centrally located to downtown, the different beaches, markets, etc. It is part of Hideaways, so you get all the Hideaway amenities too! We had the BEST time in Exuma at Flip Flops on the Hilltop and definitely hope to be back soon!!!

Our stay at Flip Flop on the hilltop was great!! The home was very comfortable and beautiful. It was a very early check in process. The home felt like a home away from home, we had everything we needed and more. Just being a few minutes away from the airport and the beautiful Exuma sign and great restaurants was very convenient! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, I knw myself and my family will be back here again!

Perfect Property in Paradise!

My family and I stayed at the Flip Flops property for 5 nights recently. The property is spacious, well kept/clean and beautiful! Mike (the owner) responds to communication very timely. He has prepared a binder with all essential island information (restaurants, grocery stores, activities, etc) and information/instructions for the property upon arrival. The property manager Karin also reached out prior to our stay in case we needed anything. My husband and I have two young children and we had ample space for them to play while staying at the property. They enjoyed sleeping in the bunk beds as well! The property was well/fully stocked with items you want in a rental-nice/thick towels, toilet paper, laundry pods, kitchen basics (coffee, filters, etc), beach chairs/floats/towels, etc. We were on the property of the Hideaways so had access to their pool, gym, beach, etc. We also rented a car and found the location of the property to be in such a great central location! I would highly recommend this property and we would stay again!

Amazing

Flip flop was perfect for our group of ten with kids ages 9-17. Slept everyone perfectly. We loved the location and were happy to be centrally located on the island so halfway between our excursion starting points. Being able to use the amenities at the hide aways was also great. Communication with owner was phenomenal and he checked on us multiple times as did the property manager. Check in and instructions super easy as was check out. The house had beach chairs, floats, wagon and towels which all came in super handy. Kids loved playing foosball and poker and we also enjoyed games there such as sorry and charades. We sat on the screened in porch both morning and evenings and soaked in the views. We had the best week in Exuma! Hands down would stay at this house again.

We had a wonderful time at the Flip Flops on the Hilltop house and highly recommend! The pros: the house was easy to find and just a short walk up from the Hideaways resort. We appreciated the amenities like the pool and restaurant - it was so nice to have those close by. The house was super clean upon arrival and is stocked with everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable, too. The screened in porch is a highlight, we were out there constantly (although see below). The communication between the owner and house manager was great - they were so helpful in answering any questions we had. We spent tons of time at Jolly Hall Beach, just a 7 minute or so walk from the unit. We would definitely return. The cons: honestly not much as we love the house! Note there is construction going on right in front of the unit (as of late-March 2025). The noise and dust was an issue for a couple of days for us for the porch as we could not sit out there during those days. The owners and house manager were extremely helpful in navigating through it. Overall we highly recommend staying!

Beautiful home and great location

The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the family room downstairs and the open floor plan upstairs. The view out to the harbor from the upstairs porch was a perfect place to sit and have coffee in the morning. It was a perfect location, easy to get to George Town and points north and south. We had lots of helpful information from the owner before arriving and Karin was a great resource once we arrived. If and when we make it back to Exuma, we would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Flip Flops

This was our first time visiting Exuma. Loved Flip Flops on the Hilltop. Great location so we had easy access to everything we wanted to see. The house did not disappoint. We especially enjoyed coffee on the veranda while taking in the beautiful view. We had three generations on this trip and everyone enjoyed. The bed in the master was too soft for us and would be an extra perk if some beach chairs were provided. (so expensive to rent). Thanks for a great stay!

Home away from home

This home was simply lovely. It was perfect for our stay and the owners and property managers were so helpful every step of the way. We did rent a car during our stay and I’m glad we did so we could experience and explore the ENTIRE island. It’s was a dream come true to have been able to see the amazing water and have this house as the home base the entire time. I think the only thing that is missing are some beach chairs so you don’t have to rent them, but other than that the house was perfect in every way. Thank you for making the home accessible to us and we look forward to coming back in the future!

Great time at FFOH

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house! It’s a central location on the island. It was extremely clean and we had a comfortable stay. They provided ice chests and towels for our convenience and a few toiletries and washer pods to get us started. We had access to the Hideaway resort right across the street, and enjoyed walking there for beach, pool, kayak, bar and food access. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the available activities at the Hideaway. The home is just minutes from Georgetown market area and close to two groceries. The property manager was so helpful and in constant communication when needed. She even warned of us a pre-planned power outage And told us where we could go eat if needed during the outage, which was much appreciated. I highly recommend staying at this property!

Fantastic stay at this beautiful Exuma, Bahamas property! (June 24-29) This spacious two-story house exceeded our expectations. It was immaculately clean, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washer and dryer were a bonus, and the full kitchen was well-equipped. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the ice chest and beach toys. The property was perfect for our group, and we felt right at home. The owners have done a great job of creating a cozy and inviting space. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Exuma. 5 stars and hope to return someday soon.

Magical family vacation!

What a wonderful trip we enjoyed in Exuma at Flipflops on the Hilltop! Great location close to the airport and many of the activities we planned. The house was very well appointed for all of our needs, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, and plenty of space for 2 families of 4. The kids loved Hideaways pool and beach with fantastic snorkeling right off the beach. We also rented a boat from Minns (5 min from house) and a car from Berlies (near airport) and beebopped to several beaches, reefs, and islands. Everyone was sad to leave and already looking forward to a return trip!

Excellent home in perfect location for 2 families

There are alot of things to love about this home. At the beginning, the communication with the owner was early and often. The check in process was excellent and the proximity and access to Hideaways facilities was used daily and a big plus, especially for the teens. The HUGE kitchen was open and not cramped. All the appliances worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. There were ice chests, games and plenty to keep the kids entertained. The upstairs view with fans and screened in porch was wonderful. There are too many things to list and would recommend and stay here again without hesitation.

Spring Break 2024

The property is amazing. All the space we could need and a wonderful place to start and end our day! It is well located to travel about the island. The owners were so kind and flexible when our flights were canceled last minute and delayed our trip by two days. They refunded a night's accommodation which was so not expected - especially as it an airline related issue! They also gave us late check out so we could make the most of our last day. I would highly recommend this house. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Spot For our Guys' Getaway

We have been going to Las Vegas every year to watch the Super Bowl. With the Super Bowl being played in Las Vegas, we felt the relaxing scenery of Exuma would be a nice alternative. Flip Flops on the Hilltop was the absolute perfect selection for our group. Everyone had a bed, everyone was comfortable, and we had everything we could ever need throughout our stay. Waking up with the sun rising over St Elizabeth Harbor was simply awe inspiring each morning. Mike & Tiffany were there for us throughout our planning and our visit. We even got to use the poker table to make us feel like we were back in Vegas! The comfort and warmth of this spectacular villa set the perfect backdrop for each day of exploring. FFHT is the perfect place to plan a family getaway! What an amazing way to experience the beauty of Exuma. Highly Recommended!

Christmas vacation

This was the perfect place to get away. The home is beautiful and comfortable with gorgeous views of the water. Waking distance to the beach with snorkeling to see tropical fish, sea turtles and a coral reef. The owners recommend great restaurants, plenty of things to do and all the best local beaches and are very friendly and helpful making the vacation everything we had hoped for.

Loved our stay at Flip Flops on the Hill

We enjoyed our stay at FFOTH. The home was clean and spacious. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and organized. We loved the upstairs screened in porch for morning coffee and evening crafting. The location is about a mile outside of Georgetown, right in the middle of the island. The Hideaways has many amenities, including a bar and grill and you can eat at the Fish Fry, less than a mile down the road. I hope we can make it to Exuma again--it is beautiful!!!

My stay in the Bahamas was phenomenal! The amazing accommodations offered stunning ocean views that left us in awe. The availability of paddle boards and canoes made our beach days even more thrilling. Speaking of the beach, it was a secluded haven. We spent countless hours snorkeling from our shore, encountering incredible marine life like vibrant starfish, captivating coral formations, graceful stingrays, and even majestic sea turtles. Their warm hospitality and commitment to ensuring our convenience made us feel like royalty. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without their incredible service. The house was beautiful and very spacious. The decor was so pretty we had to ask Mike where certain things were purchased as we wanted them for our own homes. Two families fit very comfortably in the space. We rented a car and everything was close from the location. Mike was super helpful with all of our questions. He also gave us tons of recommendations and contacts for things we wanted to do. We were planning our next visit while we were there if that tells you anything. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back!

The home has great size, perfect for families, with a great location with access to the private Hideaways on Palm Bay Beach Club. Our desire is that your stay at our home, and your vacation, is memorable on many levels. We strive for those coveted 5-star reviews and anything we can do to help during your stay (or before), or even preparing for your next visit, just let us know. Our on-island management team is top notch and ready to serve as well should any needs arise during your stay. Exuma is a beautiful island where the locals are the most friendly people, always smiling, and willing to help. Life here is slow; a good slow that allows you to relax, breathe, and enjoy life as it is meant to be enjoyed. George Town is always happening; shopping, eating, walking, chatting with the locals... even water taxis are available throughout the days so you can visit Stocking Island. There you will find Chat & Chill; the "funnest" place on Earth.

There are even some water sports equipment available for your use. Our home is a short drive into George Town and only a 15-minute drive from the Exuma airport (GGT).
