Welcome to The Starfish Cottage!

You'll discover that this renovated Island Cottage Home is in a perfect location- situated between the Village/Pier area and Redfern Village. It is only 1.5 miles to the wide soft sands at East Beach where you'll have easy parking and restrooms. On a windy day you can smell the grills at the famous Southern Soul Barbeque. This 3 Bedroom, 2 bath cottage has beautiful tile flooring throughout. Check out the photos for the retro tiled bathrooms. A fully stocked kitchen and brand-new appliances in the kitchen make meal prep a pleasure. The open dining, kitchen and living rooms are a free-flowing gathering space for family and friends. All new furniture and premium bedding make this beach cottage super comfortable. The Starfish cottage is located within a short bike ride to the Village/Pier Area. Here you'll find wonderful pubs, restaurants, shops, library, beach access and a public pool, along with tennis courts, pickle ball, and a designated dog park along the way. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly and has easy access to the many bicycle and walking paths that Saint Simons Island has to offer.

You will love the comfy space on the covered patio which overlooks a large fenced-in back yard- perfect for letting the kids play and your dogs to run around. The 42” flat screen will keep you company while you're playing fetch with your pup. You will be able to cook your catch of the day on the new Weber gas grill. The cottage comes equipped with 2 bicycles for guest use.

Our neighborhood is wonderful and we take care to ensure that our guests feel at home while respecting the folks that live here full-time. Loud noise nor large parties are not appropriate for this area.

2 dogs under 50 lbs are welcome with pet fee! $150 for one pup or $225 for two.

Please Note: A $50 non-refundable damage deposit is due at the time of booking. A $100 non-refundable reservation fee which is applied to all reservations and is not refundable in the event of a cancellation.

This location was perfect for us. We walked to Wake Up Coffee every morning. The neighborhood is lovely and so quiet. Our dog enjoyed the fully fenced backyard and we loved sitting out back and playing games, watching TV, or reading. The kitchen was a great size and well-stocked. It was a great open layout. The laundry room is large and the appliances were great. We appreciated having our own bathroom in the primary bedroom and our teenage daughters each had their own bedroom and shared the hall bathroom. We will definitely stay here again!

Great for Older Dogs

We enjoyed our stay in this home. It was well equipped and the back yard was great for our dog. He is older and the one step down to the yard was a plus.

Excellent property. Beautiful neighborhood

Beautiful neighborhood, great home and updates. Used to own a vacation condo on St. Simons for 15years and miss the area. We saw this home with Covenant and decided on it due to location to Demere and Frederica. Excellent location and area. Will definitly stay at this property again. The property management was excellent and updated on everything. Very pleased. Excellent vaca with family.

Perfect family vacation

The house is really well situated on the island. Bring your bikes, cause nothing is in walking distance, but we didn’t care. The house is perfect. All on one floor. Spacious & very nicely decorated. Kitchen is well equipped. I love the pink bathroom. It’s probably the only thing left from the original. House. My dogs loved the backyard.

Conveniently located.

Just a few improvements could be made. Living area rug is stained and should be deep cleaned or removed. Outside patio area needs a good cleaning. I’m sure the outdoor curtains were nice originally but now they are moldy. I also felt the pet fee was a little steep. Overall though, the house was nice, spacious and in a great location.

Love This Property

Love love love this house. My husband keep saying that he really enjoyed the space. Our 1st impression was that it was clean and very well laid out. This house will not disappoint. It's close to everything, only a 7 minute drive to the beach and pier area with shops and restaurants. My only ask is that they spray for mosquitoes. In order to use the outside patio we had to burned a citronella candle and used Off on our skin. They were definitely persistent critters. We also ran the fan overhead. It's a very lovely back yard space so worth spending time there. We'll definitely book again if we're in the area.

Starfish Cottage

The cottage was very lovely and spacious enough for my family of 7. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach, restaurants, and shopping was an added bonus. The only concern was that the trash can outside was full. I was notified in the agreement that if the cans were full to let the office know and they would empty them. Upon my arrival Friday night I notified the office regarding the trash can and they came out the very next day to empty it. The problem was that since the trash was so close to the house we were killing flies all night in the house. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our beach stay at The Starfish Cottage.

Good if you need dog friendly…

The house was very clean and the proximity to the beach is good…approximately a 5-10 minute drive! Having a fenced backyard and tile floors throughout were great for our dog! Having TVs in every room was great for our kids who love to watch movies in bed. The house is older and not fancy. Kitchen is bare bones (no corkscrew!) and master bath could definitely use a renovation. Our biggest issue was the wifi. My husband was trying to work the week that we were there and the wifi was very unreliable. There were 2 days that the internet was completely out and we could not find a router to reset or anything. The management company suggested going to a coffee shop…

Perfect spot to enjoy the island

We only stayed two nights, but thoroughly enjoyed it. First time to St Simons for a weekend. The house was well remodeled, clean, and close to online pics. As all images do- the house is smaller than it seems online. But still quite comfortable. They did well with placement of furniture and decor. My only down issue is the quality of the paper products/towels. Very cheap and needed more than should to get things cleaned up. Would be better if just better quality products. Reminded me of a low budget hotel quality. Kitchen had all the standard utensils and cookware, easy to find what we needed. Back door sticks quite a bit and back porch smaller than pictured. Too many mosquitos to enjoy outside around the house. Close to town, easy to get to everything. Wish we would have gotten a golf cart- or one came with home.

Great place

Clean, well stocked, comfortable and very nice location. Kitchen is wonderful and provides a great option for cooking at home! Quiet neighborhood but very close to shopping and beach. Great place overall!

Great house for a Beach Vacation!

This was a great property. It is convenient to everything going on in St. Simons Island, has a lot of character, newly renovated and well apportioned for a large family gathering (there are 6 of us). The bikes are great and allowed us to explore the entire island on morning jaunts before it got really hot outside. Highly recommended!

Relaxing Beach Cottage

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is roomy & comfortable with much attention to detail. We had one problem that was a cleaning oversight. The property manager immediately addressed and resolved the issue with a professional demeanor. We hope to stay again!!

Perfect for a family with dogs!

We loved this property. We had 4 teenage daughters with us and it was just perfect for all. It was immaculate upon arrival and just having enter the code for check in was a breeze. The fenced in back yard was beautiful and our dogs loved being able to go out there. Nice quiet, friendly neighborhood. Like a 5 min drive to beach. Kitchen very well equipped. Beds were super comfy and I enjoyed the "retro" bathrooms. Also enjoyed the locked storage room that allowed us to safely store our bikes. The beach cart, chairs, and umbrella provided was also a big plus. My only small thing I didn't like was the bugs in the back yard. Made it impossible to enjoy the beautiful patio out back. But that's just life in Georgia in July! Also, our daughter forgot her laptop computer in the property and we were 2 hours away before she realized. The management company was amazing. We contacted them right away, the went and retrieved it and sent it back to us via UPS. We had it back within a few days. We were so impressed and thankful for their response. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Island escape

It is such a relaxing escape. We loved being on the island but tucked away from the busier areas. The house had every essential we needed. What a wonderful island vibe!
