Hi Robin, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We continually invest in this condo and refresh it on a regular basis. In fact, several furnishings and décor items were replaced in spring 2026. While the kitchen has not yet been renovated, it is on our list of future improvements as we continue updating the property. We’re also sorry about the frustration with the pool wristband. We agree that Villa Capriani’s current wristband system is outdated and can be frustrating for both guests and property managers. We apologize that your request wasn’t resolved as quickly as it should have been. Regarding the patio door, we inspected it after your stay and found it to be functioning properly. The door has a lock setting that, if left engaged, can make it seem as though it locked on its own. We appreciate you bringing the shower, toilets, and dryer concerns to our attention so they can be reviewed by maintenance. Guest feedback helps us prioritize improvements. Thank you as well for your kind comment about the pools—they truly are one of the highlights of Villa Capriani. All lights have been replaced, there were just a few burnt out bulbs. Plumbing in the resort can be iffy if there are quite a few people staying there, thank you so much for your stay, we enjoyed having you.

You didn’t hear back from me because I don’t buy reviews. You stayed in the property for 7 days without a single complaint or email. It wasn’t until after checkout that these issues were mentioned. Future renters can read all reviews and form their own opinion. We do not make a habit of paying for reviews, and your request for a partial refund came only after your stay — for items we could have addressed promptly had we been informed during your visit.

I am so sorry that condo life was not for you, but the listing does say potential noise caused by other guests around you. I hope that people stop to read the other reviews we have received :) Also the security deposit was explained as soon as you made the booking. It is set to hold 5 days before check in and release 5 days after. I explained the banks only allow for holds in 7 day increments, which with your stay, resulted in 2 separate holds, only one hold at a time.

First of all, the doors you are referring to, are the outside of the doors. Sea spray. The inside were cleaned. You sent me one pictures of finger prints on a TV, and insisted since those were there that must have meant the whole condo was dirty. Which is not the case at all. This cleaner has 5 star reviews across 4 of my homes, 3 of them being at the Villa Capriani. You were simply fishing for an even better deal, than the last minute deal you received. This condo is fully renovated since March 2022. I got you another key card and more wristbands, but you wouldn’t go to the front desk and pick them up. And I clearly checked check in, it’s 4pm all across the board. So not sure what you were reading there. As far as the toilet, no where did you say it wasn’t bolted, this review is the first time I am hearing about it Had you approached me with a better attitude and not a demanding “your place is filth” attitude, I might have been more accommodating.
