Spectacular 3 BD/3BT Waterfront Log Cabin w/ Hot Tub & 100' Private Sandy Beach

Lovely lakefront log cabin home in picturesque Wakefield, NH with 100'+ sandy beach, on a peaceful cove on clean 700 acre Balch Lake. Three (3) private bedroom (including a lovely loft), 1 with a king, and 2 with queen beds and doors), a downstairs 'Kids Kabin' with 3 daybeds and 3 trundle beds sleeping an additional 6. We also have pull out cot for the basement and additional mattresses could be put down. We have 3 bathrooms, two propane fireplaces, a lovely outdoor hot tub, a covered outdoor deck looking out over the lake with a Weber gas grill on our 100’ long private sandy beach.

And there is nothing like our brand new, closed-in outdoor shower, which is just perfect anytime of the day for most of the year!

In the summer, come and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the loons, as well as canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, jet skiing, motor boating or simply swimming in the clear lake water. Our lake features a full service marina. Sit on the beach or the dock relaxing and taking in the sun, or playing bocce or Kanjam on the beach. A top rated golf course (Province Lake Golf course) is only 10 minutes away. In the evenings, make a fire in the firepit near the cabin and roast marshmallows under the starry nights!

In the winter, wonderful sledding in the back yard, ice skating on the lake, or snowmobiling trails through the area, as well as numerous ski resorts within as little as a 25 minute drive of our cabin.

And year round, the outdoor hot tub is a wonderful place to relax and talk with your family or friends.

From mid-June through Labor Day, we only rent for either full weeks (Friday to Friday) or partial weeks (Sun night/Monday morning to Friday). We do weekend rentals the remainder of the year (2 night minimum).

Happy 50th

Great property location on Balch Lake. Excellent dock and deck with plenty of sun and additional covered deck with shade. Outdoor shower and hot tub big bonus. Plenty of comfortable outside patio furniture. Plenty of room for the nine adults that celebrated 2 50th birthdays!

Very peaceful - home away from home!!!

Love the loons every morning with our coffee!! Eagles, turtles, turkeys and ducks all visited while we were there for the week. Cabin was very well stocked with basic essentials too.

Family

Great location for all ages- nice shallow sandy beach, great spot for fishing and kayaking. The house is great with plenty of space. Home owner was great to work with- communicative and flexible.

Great family vacation.

We had a great time during our summer stay on Balch Lake. The house had plenty of room and the 4 kids just loved staying by themselves in the bottom floor. The sandy beach was key. The kids enjoyed making sand castles, using the fishing nets to catch fish off the dock and using the kayak and canoe to paddle around the private cove. I would highly recommend staying at this property with kids - it was perfect.

Spectacular Spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. Owner was great and very responsive and he had plenty of room for everyone. The nights are so peaceful and you can enjoy the deck without mosquitoes. Get fishing as well.

Great Secluded Vacation Spot!

This place was awesome! The hot tub was a great addition as well. There was plenty of sleeping space and the place was warm and cozy. The fireplaces are great and keep the place toasty. There's plenty of parking space and a nice private driveway for a secluded vacation. I honestly can't think of anything bad to say about this place. I hope to rent hear again in the spring!

Amazing spot!

Absolutely amazing spot! The beach, dock, and decks are all very large with plenty of room for everyone. It unfortunately rained for much of our stay, but we still got to sit outside under the covered deck! House was clean and has everything we needed. The inside is much more spacious than it appears and comfortably fit all of us. Looking forward to returning!

Amazing Trip

Had a great time up at Stephen's cabin - he was a gracious host and gave us the space we needed while also being just a text away if we had any questions. The photos don't do it justice, and we loved the arcade machine! Spiral staircase to the basement is whimsical, but something to note for mobility challenged guests. We will absolutely be coming back to stay again soon!

Amazing Summer Getaway

My wife, kids, and our close family friends along with their kids stayed here and I can confidently say this was one of our best trips yet. Stephen was extremely responsive (not that we had any problems) and made sure we had everything we needed. Having the beach right there meant hours of swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The hot tub meant relaxing nights with an amazing night sky to admire while kicking back. I would strongly recommend anyone with a large group who wants a good place to relax, enjoy classic summer time activities, and have a lot of space with the creature comforts of home (wifi, laundry, etc...) to book here!

Summer rental

We had a large group of friends that come from many states. We looked for a place for a while before finding this. The location was perfect as you feel far enough away from civilization without it not actually being too far! There was an amazing lake view that got quite a bit of sun. We had plenty of room on the property and in the cabin to be able to spread out yet not be too far from each other. The owner was also amazing and was always just a text or phone call away and quickly responded. My friends and I are already starting to plan for next year. Highly recommend!

The cabin looked to be suffering from some benign neglect on the outside. The outside walls, windows and porches were dirty with many cobwebs and debris from nature. It could have used a good hosing or power wash.The setting itself was picture perfect but beware of the steep stairs leading to the beach. The senior citizens had some difficulty as well as the parents carrying their 7 month old up and down. You can’t really appreciate the difficulty from the picture alone.The kitchen was well appointed and the master bedroom was huge. The other bedroom one first floor was tiny….only room for the queen sized bed in there. Those two bedrooms had the only air conditioning. There was a loft bedroom which was small and not for tall people. The basement held three trundle beds which were not comfortable. The dehumidifier down there had to be emptied daily.We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront….dock for fishing and watching sunsets. There were two kayaks available to use as well as two SUPS and a canoe. We were blessed with beautiful weather….cool at night and sunny in the daytime.Our family had a lovely time….

Wonderful Home

Book this property for a wedding in Wolfesboro. It was about 30 minutes away but met all our needs. We did not get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked because we were very busy. We will definitely booked again. One suggestion: put a duck sign on the loft door.

Perfect place on the lake to create lasting memories with family/friends!

This is an awesome cabin/house with excellent amenities on a beautiful lake. The private sandy beach and dock was wonderful and the location on a little cove of the larger lake was perfect for everyone in the family to play in and to explore. The house is in great condition and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The hot tub was excellent. The decks were great for hanging out and there is plenty of chairs/lounges for everyone. Listen to the loons and enjoy lake life with friends/family!

Just what we needed!

We had a wonderful experience at the lake! The location was perfect for our kids! We enjoyed using the canoe for fishing and the floats for sunbathing! Stephen was excellent at responding to anything we needed and we would absolutely consider renting again!!

The owner was friendly and attentive. He was quick to respond to any questions I had. The house was great! Very clean and had everything we needed. The owner let us use his kayaks and hot tub, which our children loved. Great experience!

Slice of Heaven

The entire rental process was seamless. The property was wonderful. The steep grade to the waterfront was challenging for the seniors, no problem for the teens. They loved playing in the lake followed by a session in the hot tub. It was a big hit. The weather was brutally hot the first few days, making the loft bedroom unusable. But, we were creative keeping everyone cool for sleeping. The basement area was super for the kids, plenty of room and the arcade game was always in use by the adults and kids alike. The kitchen was great for big meals, everything we needed. We celebrated Christmas in July with Santa hats, carols and a Secret Santa gift swap. Thank you, Steven, for the quick response re: the cable TV. Our family recommends this rental.

Slice of Heaven indeed!

Came up here for my 30th birthday with some friends and we loved every bit of and get this, we couldn't even get to the lake because of the snow (no one's fault obviously!) So imagine how amazing this place is in the Spring/Summer/Fall. The host was very responsive, which I really appreciated! The outside of pictures almost don't do the cabin justice because the second you step inside it's a whole different world and I cannot wait to come back! There is so much space, you actually have to make an effort to enjoy all the space you're renting, two nights is not enough that's for sure. P.S. The hot tub is exactly what I was looking for. 5 stars all around! -Leny

Perfect Getaway

The property is just as described. We needed a little breakaway and this did the trick. Our dogs loved the lake and got to swim and enjoy the privacy of their own little paradise. If dogs could smile our dogs would have been grinning from ear to ear. We would love to come back with our kids and grandkids we could fit 9 grandkids and 8 adults easily. The place is huge. This is truly A little slice of Heaven!

Beautiful location

Mother Nature was not our friend the week we stayed at this beautiful lake house but with the huge wrap around deck and spacious inside we didn’t mind. Very quiet coved off area to swim. The kids had a blast kayaking and paddle boarding. The Lake is a bit shallow so not great for jumping off the dock but otherwise perfect. We all took turns enjoying the hot tub. There were two families sharing this home and we had plenty of space!! The owner was fast to reply and amazing to deal with. Highly recommended this beautiful home!

Amazing house with a great location! We fit a group of 14 and had plenty of room to spare. A lot of sleeping space, easy access for docking a rental boat (also an easy process getting it there), plenty to do there. The owner was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of.

Beautiful spot on the lake!

We had a blast at our stay on Balch Lake. The private sandy beach, water toys (including paddle board, kayak, floats, tubes, and lawn games), fire pit, and outdoor setup were great. Tons of space, too, so perfect for our large group of 13 adults. The outdoor was a bit dirty when we got there and there was an issue with the hot tub cleanliness as well—however the host, Stephen, was super responsive, easy to reach, and incredibly accommodating. We are super pleased with our stay and we think you will very much enjoy staying here, too! We would definitely love to come back again.

Amazing family vacation spot

We had a hard time finding many cabins big enough for our group (5 adults, 10 kids), but came across this gem and we are so thankful that we did. Incredible amount of room for everyone, sleeping, eating, and hanging out. Amazing outdoor space on the two decks. Tons of fun water gear for everyone (I need to buy a paddle board after all the fun exercise I got). The lake is great, lots of coves and islands to explore, bike paths and dirt roads for the kids to cruise around. And the surrounding towns had lots of spots for snagging some ice cream or grabbing a bite. Incredible week, and we are already looking forward to next year.

An amazing getaway during any season of the year. The lake in the summer is amazing, with temps in the mid to high 70's; great fishing on the lake; snowmobiling in the winter; skiing not far away; and the autumn season is spectacular for the colors.
