"We never wanted to leave" -2022 renter. Torch lake is just 8 miles away from this truly unique, beautiful home. Serene location with two ponds as well as a stream and artesian fountain just outside the door. Let the kids try and catch fish out of the ponds or go on a search for turtles or frogs. Blue Herons, white tailed deer, and river otters have been known to stop by as well. It is truly an oasis of peacefulness just outside of the quaint town of Bellaire, and at the same time has very fast Wifi to keep in touch with your world. At the end of the day you can sit out on the patio to grill up dinner and watch the fireflies dance, listen to the peepers peep, and sit around the campfire with s'mores or fire table on the patio with a glass of wine. You will be in a second heaven in this lovely area. Ample parking for cars and trailers and room to bring your boat and enjoy a day on the water as the boat launch on Lake Bellaire is only 5 minutes away and connects to Torch Lake through the Chain of Lakes, or head straight to Torch only 10 minutes away. The festivals of this community are completely special as neighbor really does look after neighbor and the dining options are diverse from the local Brew Pub of Short's (a destination in itself), to the French Inspired small plates of Corner Bistro to the Farm to Table 5 star cuisine of Terraine. And don't forget to pick up some quiche and a coffee at M88 Morning Grind. This property has miles of hiking trails behind the house and quality details with granite countertops and custom woodwork. This is a truly spectacular area to enjoy to the fullest and this beautiful location lets you sit back and relax to do just that.

It’s so beautiful and peaceful! Our family enjoyed it 100%, so many different places to explore and go swim with family around all sand bars and this location was a perfect spot from each place we went. Such a great place to stay.

Family vacation

Perfect location

Great Stay

This house has it all. Lots of yard for our dogs, and Melissa thought of everything you might need. House is very clean and comfortable. We were close to Clam Lake boat launch too for our boat. Torch Lake is beautiful!

Thanks to Melissa and knowledge or the area and quick responses we were able to do and see things otherwise were not aware of. The house was great for our short getaway and the host did a great job with prepping the house. :)

Beautiful home

The outdoors needed a kid of work. Ponds are somewhat like swamps. No fishing. The house accommodated very well and stocked with all essentials needed to have a nice stay. Beautiful home inside.

Nice house and close to Schuss

Property was very clean and perfect size for our family. Melissa responded quickly and went above and beyond assisting us when ski camp was canceled to find another instructor. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating. We appreciated her helping us despite the weather.

Family Vacation

My Wife & I brought our Daughters & their spouses + my Grandnson. Vary clean home well stocked with kitchen essentials & linens. The star of the house was my grandson catching & releasing frogs form the pond. He had a blast!! We rented a pontoon boat for a day, went swimming at Bellaire lake, golfed, cooked scores at the fire pit, went to Shorts Brewery for live music & dinner on Fri. Everyone had a great time!

Home Away From Home

Beautifully appointed home that's welcoming, comfortable, and close to everything in the area. The host is very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure my stay at Bellaire was exceptional. While one of the ponds has transformed into a marsh (probably effects of climate change), there were plenty of frogs, birds, bunnies and deer to make you feel close to nature. The little creek running towards the pond has clear water from the mountain! There is also a nice big trail back of the house around the property line -- don't forget the mosquito spray. M88 Morning Grind is also a spot to make sure you put on your list when visiting the area -- can't go wrong w/lavender or blackberry latte and chocolate croissants!

Fantastic place for a nice getaway

The property is beautiful. Being so close to Bellaire but far enough away to relax and enjoy the amazing atmosphere was well worth the trip. The house was as advertised and then some. Only being about 10-15 minutes away from Torch Lake was perfect. Plus being that close to Short's Brewery was fantastic, definitely recommend checking that place out. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

The sky was so clear!

The sky was so clear I could satellites pass over! It was a most relaxing and peaceful vacation. I gave my wife the dumb dog look when she said we were going to Michigan for a few days. I couldn't have been more wrong. I can't wait to go back. The house was perfect. You thought of everything. Thank you for a great stay and giving us a home away from home. It was really great. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

So comfortable and close to everything

We had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful home so close to cute little Bellaire. The home and gardens and yard were so pretty. We loved to be able to sit outside next to the fireplace and relax. Bellaire had great restaurants close by. Highly recommend Shorts, Terrain, Corner Bistro and Hello Vino wine bar. Melissa was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here if we are in the area again.

We enjoyed our stay at this excellent property. Ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Close to trials, lakes and rivers and only 1.5 miles from quaint downtown Bellaire and its restaurants, shops and a Brewery! The property was beautiful and the house isvery clean and accommodating. Check in was very easy and the hosts are easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this property and will stay again when traveling to the area.
