Located in Playacar Fase I; a gated community of high-end homes and is adjacent to the downtown area of Playa Del Carmen. La Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) is a short walk from Casa Azul Caribe where shops, restaurants, cafes, art galleries, water sports, tours, bars, and live entertainment are located. This home has everything you could want located only 10 stps away from the beach.
Casa Azul Caribe has a private 5-foot deep pool with a private terrace with dining area and lounge chairs.

This spacious 4 bedroom and 3 bathrooms home is fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms. On the first floor beside the living room, dining room, and kitchen, there is a private laundry room off the kitchen with a washer and dryer. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed with bathroom access off the hallway; the second one has 2 double beds with private access to the same bathroom; the third bedroom also has 2 double beds and its en-suite bathroom.
The master bedroom located on the second floor also has a king bed and and a private en-suite bathroom. Off the master bedroom there is access to the spacious roof deck terrace with ocean views, and access to the third-floor sun deck with lounge chairs and magnificent views of the Caribbean ocean and the island of Cozumel.


The presence of sargassum occurs mainly during the warmer months.

The property management team here is amazing! And Casa Azul Caribe is beautifully appointed villa, has everything you need and only steps from the beach. And is very approximate to everything that Playa del Carmen has to offer!

We loved the house, the pool, its location to the beach and downtown, and the amenities provided by the host. Every room was comfortable and clean. The host was attentive to our needs and communicated well. The neighborhood has a security entrance and security staff who walk the neighborhood regularly. If/when we come back, weā€™d love to stay here again.

Fun in the sun

I take my entire family on a vacation every year. This one was exceptional the house was very clean very nice with all the amenities. It was steps away from the beach and close to downtown fifth Street my family all agrees one of the best vacations ever. I highly recommend this house with the pool. Fabulous place to stay!

This house was AMAZING! So close to the beach and 5th Avenue as well. The property was clean and well maintained. We got water replaced whenever asked and the pool and hot tub were cleaned daily. The view from both patios was amazing. The master suite upstairs allowed a view of sunrise every morning. This place is perfect for a family or group of friends. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Playa Del Carmen and I would most definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for hosting!

Great Accommodations and location.

The property suited out needs well and Deborah was quite helpful. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and being away from the resorts made it a bit less crowded than further down the beach. The beach was not quite as wide as it was in the resort areas but it was still fine for us. Occasionally we noticed a slight sewer/sulfur smell depending on the way the wind was blowing but it seemed less noticeable the final days so maybe they were fixing something. House keeping was adequate but could have been a bit better. The first time they came they only took dirty towels but didn't replace some of them and I am not sure how much cleaning they actually did. The second time they came during the week they seemed to actually do a better job cleaning and put towels in the washer but I am also pretty particular. We did not have coffee filters upon arrival but Deborah got them for us the first day. I wish there would have been an actual grocery store a bit closer to us but it was still only a 15-20 minute walk away. Overall a great visit.

House and location are great, management of home is not

We rented this beautiful home for 4 nights. The location is spectacular and the house is quite comfortable; practically beachfront on a beautiful beach. Each room is air conditioned including the dining and living and it is convenient to have the washer/dryer. The pool is small like most pools in Playacar 1. It is a short, nice walk to Playa del Carmen and 5th Ave. Upon arrival, I had to clean food particles from the kitchen sink. We weren't given enough paper towels or dish washing soap to get through the 4 nights. The jacuzzi had algae in it and it was not useable until day 3. How can a jacuzzi not be checked and up and ready the day someone is checking in? The kitchen has labels indicating how many of what items are in the kitchen. None of the quantities listed matched what was in the kitchen. This isn't an issue unless one gets charged for something that wasn't there to begin with. We had to purchase a cheese grater as there wasn't one in the kitchen. One person in our party had to sleep on top of a sheet the first night as there was blood on the duvet cover and the fitted sheet. Management acknowledged that the maid saw the blood on the duvet cover, but thought it was nail polish, washed it but then didn't check it before putting it back on the bed. The duvet cover was the part that would have been easily missed, the blood on the sheet could NOT have been missed unless the bedding hadn't been washed! Then again, it couldn't have been missed while making up the bed. Another family tried to check into our house while we were there. The instructions to their rental were actually the instructions to ours, including the lockbox info. Luckily, we had the internet and were able to tell them where to find their rental. They had called the management company and were told they'd get a call back but we were able to help them and send them on their way long before they heard back from the management company. There was a lot of foot traffic immediately behind the house. This is fine if it is gardeners, etc. Two men actually looked in one of the back bedroom windows, to find one of our young men who quickly drew the shades. One of the windows in the master doesn't lock. Luckily, we discovered this right away and we put the wooden rod down. Again, the house was wonderful, the management of house is not. This is even more irritating as the name of the management company is North American Standards, leading one to believe that everything will be up to par.

Awesome House Steps From The Beach!

Casa Azul Caribe was perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen, nice pool, sun deck on the 3rd floor, master on the 2nd with an awesome balcony and nice furniture to lounge in, and steps from the beach! The owner was very responsive, house was very clean and comfortable. This is our 7th trip to this neighborhood (playacar phase 1) and every house we ha e rented here has been amazing. Great jumping off point to walk to 5th ave, or if you have a car no more than 30 minutes to cenotes and theme parks, and only 10 min to the grocery store. We rate Casa Azul Caribe a 10/10 - highly recommend!

Very comfy house

Well laid out, everything worked, close to water. Be warned taxis cannot come into neighborhood to pick you up, but can return you to the house. Short walk to grab a cab if needed. Very close to tourist shopping and restaurants, also close walk to take boat to Cozumel. Use the concierge for private excursion bookingsā€¦ he was immensely helpful.

Great location but property needs maintenance!

Renting and paying for the property was a breeze. Property management answered all my questions and helped with necessary travel arrangements. The property is in need of some maintenance. Grounds had garbage surrounding pool in bushes and many appliances/doors broken or in need of repair. Hot tub advertised was not in working order. Unfortunately the beach was covered in seaweed also which was a real bummer paying for beachfront location and not utilizing the beach for swimming. Would not rent this property again for the price. Also, I'm a bed snob and beds were all way too firm for us.

Perfect!

Property is so close to everything! Clean and well-cared for. The pool was so nice! The neighborhood is very secure. We had a great stay. The internet wasnā€™t working and that was resolved in a day. There are two routers - one upstairs and one downstairs. Heads up: the tile floors are very slippery when wet. I highly encourage you to have the concierge do food shopping for you so you have what you need for the first few days. Itā€™s super easy to walk to 5th Ave and catch a cab right down the street at the Playacar hotel. For the jacuzzi, itā€™s not operational. It was way too hot to be up there this time of year. We had to google how to use the ac and it was fine. There is bottled water for drinking and cooking. There are ice trays...we used them and put the ice in a bowl in the freezer. We had a great time! Would come back!

Casa Azul Caribe review

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Azul Caribe , the only thing I wasnā€™t really happy about was that online it shows picture of hot tub once we got to the house it wasnā€™t working , also we had no gas for 2 days couldnā€™t really cook at the house and had not hot water which I think itā€™s kind of upsetting cause we did pay full price on house.

Nice beach but the property not up to date.

Jacuzzi was not working, empty with no water. You can tell it has not been working for sometime so they need to remove it from the showing. Coffee maker itā€™s crack, didnā€™t work. No hand soap available. No dish soap. Only one roll of paper towels. Not enough drinking water. Pool was dirty all the time. Internet does not work on the second floor. One day we had people show up at the property to fix the cable, we were not home but our older son was and we were not notified about this so we had to drive back to see what was going on- waste of time. + poor communication. Services from the owner is very limited, is more like pay me my money and donā€™t bother me. Donā€™t believe the pictures, they are 60% true. Thank you.

Great place for beach vacation for families.

House was a good size for our family of 10. We liked being able to walk across the street to get to a beautiful beach. Good restaurants and shopping within a 15-20 minute walk. Catching the ferry to Cozumel was about a 20-30 minute walk. Our experience would have been better if the pool wouldnā€™t have been shaded, as the water was too cold for our grandchildren to swim. We couldnā€™t use the Jacuzzi for the first couple days of our stay because of a maintenance problem that was addressed. Clothes dryer needs maintenance.

We loved the house and nearness to a beautiful beach. It was quiet, safe and secure. It is some distance to restaurants and shopping which was great for us since we love to walk. It was the perfect place to gather as a family.

Beautiful house with lots of room for family

The property is a gorgeous house with 4 bedrooms and its own pool just a block away from the beach. We arrived at night so it was a little tricky to find as there was a vehicle parked in front of its sign, but directions given were good. It was hot and humid the day we arrived but the AC was comfortable enough after it got going. The beach was covered in seaweed but that is an anomaly for the area. It is within walking distance (10 min walk) to shopping and restaurants. We have 4 teenagers and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed and plenty of bathrooms as well. The property felt really nice and clean and it's great having a full kitchen. We got groceries the first day so we wouldn't have to eat out 3 meals a day. The Mega (grocery store) and WalMart were a short drive away. We had a rental car so we were able to drive to Xplor park one day and can't recommend that enough. Amazing time! We also drove to Chichen Itza and visited a couple of cenotes. We also took the ferry to Cozumel for a snorkeling one day. It was a great place and very convenient. The only issues were very minor: clothes dryer was having trouble spinning with more than two towels in it, bluray player in living room wasn't connecting to tv, hair dryer in master was old and having trouble. Overall, these were minor things and didn't hamper our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with a large family or group of people who need a home base for excursions.

Playa del Carmen was the perfect place for our family vacation. The ocean was great and the beaches had the most perfect sand ever! Our VRBO suited us so well; we were close to town and even closer to the beach. What a fabulous vacation!!

Needs some upgrades but a great location!

It is the little things that matter. We were lucky to have someone with us who speaks Spanish because the number given for taxis did not work. Ther cutlery dishes and wine glasses need to be updated and added to. The hot tub did not work while we were here. The cleaning lady was great as were the folks who looked after the pool. The DVD player in the master bedroom did not work but that was minor. Overall it is a lovely place and we would come back if everything was in working order!

This house is beautiful, extremely clean, and spacious. It is feet away from the beach. The pool was fantastic and the neighborhood safe and lovely. The master terrace was a favorite! We liked the fact that you could walk into town via the beach to shop and visit restaurants. The beach area was not crowded. NAS was courteous and quick to answer questions. We look forward to staying here in the future. This is a wonderful house and location.
