There are absolutely no pets, and the rule is set by our condo association so it is not flexible. Not even teacup pets.
Please leave TV remotes in the rooms in the correct rooms. They should be labeled! It gets very confusing when they walk away. :)

We had an excellent vacation here! It was perfect for our family and met all of our needs. The kitchen was well stocked, loved the quality cookware, as we only ate at a restaurant once and cook most of our food at home. The view was amazing and we loved the easy access to the beach. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Even though the weather was a bit rainy and cold for a few days, we still enjoyed it so much and absolutely LOVED sitting on the porch to hear the ocean. This was just a great place to stay. Due to my own fault, we had a tiny issue checking in - but that was my own confusion - and Lockie was very quick in responding to me and helping me! We didn't have any other issues or need to contact them - it was just a great place to stay. We're thankful it was available for the week we needed a place. The whole place was clean and inviting. If we're able, we would stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and everything is always nicely done and set up. The property owners are very responsive to our needs as we had an issue with one of the showers. It was addressed quickly and effortlessly. This is an amazing place to get away too!

The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our week. We especially enjoyed being right on the beach and having the pool. Only downside is not having a washer/dryer in the unit. Otherwise everything was great!

This was an amazing property! Very well kept and overlooking the pool and beach. Lockie and Zach helped us out when we had an issue with the door and were very communicative. They even went the extra mile for us when we needed to receive a package. I would book this condo again and would strongly recommend staying here. The only thing that I would say was a challenge was parking was a little tricky at times. But there was an overflow lot that was easy to access. A host and property.

Perfect Family Stay!

We had an amazing stay. Location was perfect, hosts were very communicative, and overall the stay was one of the best we've had. If you have people who love to shower bring extra towels (not a negative) but otherwise you'll have everything you need in a very home-like place! I could not say thank you enough.

Home away from home

As always, this property is in immaculate shape. The beds are extremely comfortable. The furniture is cozy and homie. The kitchen is more than adequately stocked. The location…SUPERB! We have every intention of renting this unit again. Our family simply loves staying here.

Apartment was big and clean. Everything you see on the pictures is there. Highly recommend for family stay.We were able to get early check in which was really appreciated as we were driving from New England. Everything is close by. One of the best vacation rentals so far.

Could Not Have Been Better

The unit was the greatest. Great views, clean, well supplied with everything you would need. Properly manager was great. We were so glad we were able to get unit. We would definitely try to stay there again if available. Thank you so very much.

Lovely home, great location, like staying at a friend's

This was the third time we rented Lockie and Zachary's home in the off-season. And we have a reservation for winter 2026 as well.The location is amazing -- oceanfront with a beautiful pool lit up outside the unit. It a quiet property and neighborhood but it's close enough to Rte 17 to shop for groceries and anything else you need. We purchase an annual pass to the SC state parks so we can visit the state park beaches and hiking trails, as well as nearby Pawley's Island and Litchfield Beaches. Their home is furnished as if owners stay there -- comfortable, clean, decorated nicely and with a well-equipped kitchen. We easily cook all of our meals without needing to bring any kitchenware. Every time we have stayed here, they have made some improvement to the property. Anytime the slightest issue arose with the home, they were promptly in contact with us and handled it. And last but not least, Lockie and Zachary make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home, wanting you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. We consider it a privilege to be able to stay in their home.

Gorgeous Views!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Hunter’s Hideaway. We had plenty of room for our family, and loved having an on suite in each room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook. We spent almost all our time on the deck overlooking the ocean and pool. The property is well maintained, and updated.The owners were very communicative and made check in and check out seamless. We would most definitely recommend and stay here again.

Graduation Getaway

We had an amazing time on our trip to the beach to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The condo was awesome! I loved how the rooms were spaced out to give everyone privacy. There was plenty of space. Check-in was easy and the owners were great to work with. Location was PERFECT!!! And the view… breathtaking!

Thanksgiving getaway

My husband, mother and I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful location 11/23-11/30. The weather was perfect and the condo delivered on location, amenities and space. The kitchen was one of the nicest we have ever had in a rental property. We truly appreciated the opportunity to have this week at Hunter’s Hideaway!

Great location

The view is great, had a couple of small problems which host responded to quickly. Bed is comfortable and lots of pots,dishes,glasses. Also spices etc were nice to have readily available. It was in the fall and non prime time and condo complex was having carpeting replaced on all outside stairs and halls and some decks close to us so it was noisy and messy. Nothing that the host could do anything about. The couch needs a cleaning, we just put a sheet on it and I was surprised the outside deck had not been cleaned before our arrival. I am a southern gal, raised in the mountains of Tennessee. My husband is from Maine, but our family of four now lives in Asheville, North Carolina, tucked in the hills. I am a professor of writing and literature at a local college, while my husband is a software guy. Our two children love placing their toes in the sand, and we try to get to the beach any time our place is not rented.

This beach condo was first purchased by my mom and dad to be a family beach place to go since we had moved from Tennessee to Boston in the 1970s. We missed the South Carolina beaches! I remember looking at the blueprints for the building as a ten-year-old, my heart full of excitement. We were one of the first to buy and we picked the exact unit we wanted, looking out at both the pool and ocean beyond. Many years later, as an adult, my parents sold it to me, and now my family of 4 can create their own memories of time at Garden City Beach. Since we have owned the condo since it was built we literally have renters who have been coming down for over 20 years. Many memories have been made here and we hope that you, too, will cherish the place as we do.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Location is key, and the place boasts amazing views, and is truly right on the beach! Our porch overlooks the ocean and has a large table with seating for 5 and is perfect for your morning coffee, lunch, or evening sunset dinner. Our family has been coming here since the kids were babies. It is a very family-friendly beach! Our unit overlooks both the pool and ocean.
In 2016 we installed all new hdtv's in each bedroom. The living room boasts a 40" HDTV, the quilt room has a 32" hdtv while the master and twin room both boast countertop hdtvs. We take great care in all the details of the place, from the hand-picked seagull dishes to the paintings on the wall.

Our condo is very well equipped, so much so that many folks come down for the winter and stay for a couple of months! The kitchen is a working kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, and a large granite counter-top, and plenty of pots and pans and cookware.
We are also situated between 2 piers, the Garden city pier and the Surfside pier, both walkable distances.
Nearby Murrells Inlet is a working fishing village, dubbed the seafood capital of South Carolina. Here you will find amazing seafood places serving up lunch and dinner on a scenic waterway called the "marshwalk". You can also explore the salt marsh on an ecology tour or a parasail ride, a jet ski, kayak canoe, eco, dolphin or adventure tour, or explore Wacca Wache, which is a freshwater marina.
Or, you may opt for the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, but then return home to our quieter family-focused Garden City Beach. LINENS INCLUDED!
