Hello! Welcome to The Jacobs Beach Cottage!!! We are excited to share to you our SMALL humble but charming beach cottage. What we love about our cottage home is the outstanding view of the Chesapeake Bay with white sandy beach, just steps from our door!!!

The beach cottage is a SMALL "INTIMATE" BEACH COTTAGE but it is aesthetically designed utilizing all spaces with beauty, functions and comfort of our guests in mind. The cottage is for guests to enjoy the full house, deck, grounds, shed and the white sandy beach of Chesapeake Bay. A newly renovated single level home – 2 bedrooms (convertible to 3 bedrooms), 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and sunroom with full view of the Bay. PLS NOTE: THE MASTERBED IS ELEVATED, PLS WATCH YOUR STEPS IN THE PLATFORM WHEN YOU ARE GOING IN/OUT OF THE BED. The cottage has fully equipped kitchen, brand new appliances, bidets in bathrooms (luxury bidet in masterbath). Linens, towels, kayaks, assorted water gears, beach chairs are provided; also, life vests for adults and children provided. PLS BRING FLOATS AND LIFE VEST FOR SMALL KIDS. 3 nights minimum required stay; maximum of 6 guests. The size of our cottage is only allowed for 6 guests, as required by Northumberland County law. On site parking (2 cars), please do NOT PARK ON THE STREET, as per County law. If you have guests coming during the day there is an additional of $10 per person/per day for the use of the facilities. PLS CONTACT US IF YOU ARE OVER A GROUP OF 6+ DURING DAYTIME, WE APPRECIATE YOUR HONESTY- we are a flexible host:)

Wifi, TV w/ basic cable channels, Blu-ray/DVD player, and wide range of movie selections available. CELL PHONE CONNECTION IS SPOTTY. If you are teleworking or attending a virtual meeting, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is actually a perfect retreat to focus on your job and enjoy the tranquility of the nature…or perhaps it is better to leave your laptop computer at home and enjoy the moment with your family at the beach. Either way, The Jacobs Beach Cottage is an excellent getaway destination!!! Visit the neighboring water towns of Kilmarnock, Irvington, White Stone, Heathsville, Matthews and many more…Explore the picturesque land-and-seascape of Northern Neck!!!

Easy access to the beach, cozy bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (small & very small but both adequate), wonderful long windowed room facing the sea and sunrise, back deck with picnic table. We wanted a quiet place on the water for a weekend of relaxation and good seafood nearby. This wonderful place was exactly what we hoped it would be.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Thursday. This well-loved home is in a beautiful location. The spaces are tight but that wasn't a surprise. We had a great time. We couldn't figure out how to get the futons open, or the outside shower to turn on...but to be fair, we didn't reach out to the host to ask about it.

We just returned from our way too short stay at this place amazing gem. The location is 100% why I chose this home BUT discovered when we arrived that everything inside out out was well thought out for our comfort and enjoyment. Literally anything you could think of was here in case you forgot something or decided you wanted to do more than sit and enjoy the tranquil beauty of your surroundings. Communication was on point. Love this place and plan to visit again!

The host was excellent at communication. It was our first time with the baby; everything was clean, and I could even do floor (tummy) time with the baby. Also, the private beach on the property was a gem as well! Kayaks were also used, and they were very sturdy and good too. This property was good for viewing sunrises and wildlife. For July 4, it was perfect because it was quiet. I want to stay there again.

Great little getaway

The house is small, but works great for a getaway and has everything you need. We spent most of our time at the beach or on the deck -- so peaceful!

Excellent long weekend getaway!

Every inch of this small space is well utilized! Perfect for our little family, and my parents who visited during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the semi-private beach through all types of weather! Definitely a place we want to come back to!

Relaxing Babymoon

Beautiful spot by the beach. We had a very relaxing stay and it was a great way to unwind. They left us gifts for our baby, which was very sweet!

What a wonderful experience

My family and I had such a wonderful experience staying here. The cottage was clean and beautiful. The beach was lovely. The people in the community were super nice. I would recommend staying here.

Perfect getaway

Nice quiet location on the Chesapeake is exactly what we wanted. Watching the dolphins in the morning was great. Being from Wisconsin around noisy cities of Milwaukee and Chicago this getaway was perfect. Thank you

This cottage was the perfect little getaway, very cozy and intimate with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away from the world. The beach was beautiful with great sand and nice water, and the kayaks were a treat to use. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed and more. Would love to come back!

Cozy retreat

This was our second time staying at this property. We loved being right on the beach. The house was well stocked, and the kids spent hours each day playing in the sand and waves. We hope to return in the future!

Loved the beach access and cozy atmosphere

We had a great stay at this property - we loved being able to walk right outside and be at the beach and having meals on the back porch where we could appreciate the view. The property owners were extremely helpful and communicative, and the neighbors were all very welcoming. The beach was perfect for our 2-year old (small waves and plenty of room for digging in the sand), and the house was cozy and met all our needs.

Loved our time here

My family had the best time. This property was perfect! The best location so close to the water. We had trouble with the a/c the first day, and the owners were very responsive and had it fixed immediately. We hope to be back some day!

Meet Charlie & Chrissy! We have been dubbed by families and friends as “The Lovebirds.” We have 2 talented, hardworking, smart children, and for 2+ decades later being married to each other- we are still honeymooning. We have traveled to many countries and seen different cultures. We have taken countless of road trips far and wide but the most exciting adventures we had were the ones unplanned. On 2004, a supposed trip to the grocery to buy milk, eggs & cheese 2 miles away turned us up to Reedville, Virginia (130 miles away)- without milk, eggs & cheese on hand when we returned home 3 days later. We instantly fell in love with the Northern Neck Region and so this is the reason why we got this beach cottage in Chesapeake Bay… now we are sharing it to you! Cheers!!!
