Friends vacation

Families with kids staying for the weekend. Everyone was comfortable and it had great proximity to the beach. The only drawback is the layout of the living room furniture. There's not a huge sectional/sitting area for everyone to be at the same time, but we made it work and would still stay here again in the future.

My 2 sisters and I take a week every year, this is our 2nd year staying at Cardinal House. We were very comfortable. With 3 full baths, we had our own space. If you are looking for a 4 bedroom 3 bath home don't hesitate to choose Cardinal House. Always clean, prompt communication from Jonina and easy check in.

Great Area

Easy to get to a great public beach and super close to both Indiana and Warren dunes State parks for extra hiking adventures. House worked great for the limited times we were actually there.

Wonderful house in a pretty neighborhood! We loved the covered porch, large hot tub, clean and spacious house. It was so great to bike ride in the neighborhood and look at the pretty houses. Jonina was so helpful and kind. She met all of our needs. We plan on coming back!

June get away

We stayed here last year. Everything was excellent. We find the home very comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed the hot tub and firepit. We did some grilling as well. The Cardinal properly felt private while being close to other properties. Several activities we wanted to do were within walking distance or a short drive. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful, relaxing and peaceful!

We had a beautiful stay at the Cardinal! The house was incredibly spacious - everyone in our family had their own room, which made it very comfortable. All rooms were updated, very clean and the hot tub was a wonderful bonus, perfect for relaxing in the evenings, and added that extra touch of luxury. The location was super convenient - close to the beach, winery, grocery store and everything we needed - yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and quiet. It truly felt like a perfect getaway. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Overall great stay

Overall great stay. Came with 3 college girls friends for a quick weekend. Property was clean, cute and cozy. A few items that the property does not have that would have been nice are an iron/ironing board and a blow dryer. Hot tub appeared new and a great addition : nice to relax in the evenings. Overall house was clean, well equipped and well maintained. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Union Pier area.

Great Getaway Spot Close to Everything!

The house and property were immaculate. Plenty of room for our group of 6 women for a weekend getaway. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms were spotless and included plenty of towels and toiletries as well as beach towels, which we used for the big hot tub on the back deck. Location was close to everything while still feeling secluded and private. Very close to downtown Union Pier and only about a 6 minute drive to downtown New Buffalo. The wineries are close as well, with two tasting rooms literally just blocks away. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware and dishes if we had needed to do any cooking. We were there in the fall so didn't utilize the beach amenities but it looked like there was plenty of beach chairs and a beach wagon if that's why you're going. Seriously, they have thought of everything!! Jonina was a gracious host and left us a bottle of local wine as well as some chocolates for our arrival. If you're planning a weekend trip or longer, this is the place to stay!!!

Vacation in Union Pier

The property felt like a home. It looked exactly as shown. We were able to walk to the wine tasting room. We enjoyed the facilities - particularly the hot tub and fire pit. The property was near a busy street but the trees and shrubs made it seem isolated and peaceful. The hosts were responsive to a question.We hope to return.

Amazing!

The Cardinal Lane house was exactly what we expected. We brought our family of 5 (with two teens & a tween). We were pleased to find the house was VERY clean, fully stocked kitchen, towels, shampoo, conditioner & body wash were waiting for us upon arrival. The hot tub was fantastic & everyone enjoyed it! Jonina had 8 beach chairs, a wagon, sand buckets, and games for the beach. We would stay again!

Beautiful home

Cardinal Lane was just perfect for 3 sisters in their 60's. All on 1 level, 4 bedrooms but we only needed 3, we each had our own bathroom! Loved the hot tub in the evening. The house was immaculate with wood floors and rugs, important to us, carpet can hold critters! If you are looking for a home in Michigan. Look no further!

Michigan Getaway

The property was just like it was described. It was in a great and easy to get to location. We are familiar with New Buffalo and the stores in that area so this property was a great fit for us. We had great weather and we were able to enjoy the area beaches. The weather was idea for us to enjoy the hot tub at night. The house had everything that we needed.

House was perfectly located for our wine trip, great condition, just as pictured, and very clean. We recommend a sensor light for back porch so you can enter house when dark. Also- we recommend that you raise max temp of hot tub during cold months.

Great Place for a Getaway!

Great Fall Stay

We had a family Fall weekend here, 3 couples and a baby. Really nice kitchen and living space, and 3 bathrooms. Nice combo of private and get-together space. Relaxing fire pit and hot tub. All was as listed on VRBO, and good communication with the owner.

Ladies weekend

We had an amazing weekend at this property. It was well equipped, clean and comfortable! The host was very responsive and had even left a bottle of awesome wine with chocolates. Three bathrooms and lots of sleeping space plus the cozy fireplace in the living room made for a great stay. The hot tub and fire pit were so great and relaxing. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. We will return!! Thank you Jonina!!

The Perfect Place for a Gathering of Friends

Clean and comfortable, Cardinal provides plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a groups of gals to get together. Even the hot tub was roomy! We had a great weekend!

Union Pier is paradise!

We have been visiting Union Pier for over a decade as renters. It’s so relaxing and there is so much to do. Hang out on the beach during the summer, ride bikes through the cornfields, kayak or hack up the golf course.

Doing nothing at all is always an optional too!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

When I walked into Cardinal for the first time I was immediately struck by the high quality of the hardwood floors and furniture. I soon found out that the previous owner was a professional woodworker who applied his craftsmanship to his home.

In fact, if you stay here you will notice a rectangular building at the end of the lot that served as his workshop!
