Fabulous!!

I spent hours and hours looking for what I wanted. Proximity to water, close to the pool, beautiful view. This did not disappoint!! The excellent snorkeling steps from the house was a huge bonus. I even got to meet Alvin as he had arrived for a stay and enjoyed talking with him. The massage in home was an inexpensive luxury as well.

Second stay

So glad we could go back to this resort for a second stay. Loved the villa. It is so spacious and has everything we needed. You can cookn in after a a short shopping trip in town or go to the on site bistro which is so delicious. We tried somerhing different each night and loved everything we had. It is such a beautiful setting. The swimming pools are so refreshing after a long walk on the beach looking at tide pools and enjoying the sunset while you eat. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The hosts are so easy to work with and do their best to make everything just perfect for your stay. I can't wait till we get to go back!

Our group of 5 Friends stayed for 4 nights at Villa 10. It was just as described- beautiful view andbeautiful home- equipped with everything you need. We went at the beginning of the off season(can be rainy) and were lucky to have great weather.Everyone was super friendly at the restaurant/pool and Jaky and Cesar at the office were very resourceful and helped us with our requests for onsite massages(wonderful) and travel accommodations to and from Father Rooster- restaurant(very good food ).The owner -Al was quick to reach out to us to see if we had any special needs or wants during our stay and provided us with all the information of what the area has to offer -along with their favorites. Thank you- we will be back!

This villa is arguable the best spot at Bahia Pez Vela. Nicely updated villa with incredible views from every room. Beach is accessible by a short walk down the stairs and plenty of beach toys for the kids to remain occupied. Alvin is a great host with easy communication. I highly recommend this villa.

Amazing!

We recently rented Villa 11 and it was so clean, comfortable and safe. It was fabulous being right on the beach while also having the resort pool and restaurant next door. The owners, Al and Carolanne, are great and promptly answered any questions we had before our trip and were quick to check on us during our stay. They provide you with numerous ideas for what to do with detailed information and suggestions. Villa11 is private with lots of exploring you can do on the beach. My son, when exploring one night, was even lucky enough to see a sea turtle nesting close to the Villa. This is an incredible place to reserve with tons to do nearby – thanks Al and Carolanne!

Great property, steps from the beach!

We stayed at this property for the last few days of our three weeks in CR. It was close to so many activities and sights we were interested in which worked out perfectly. The unit itself is extremely well cared for and super clean. Anything you might need for the beach was available for use…towels, chairs, boogie boards, toys…you name it. And the back patio is very private. We never saw any of our neighbors. The owner provided us with clear directions as well as recommendations for things to do in the area and places to eat which was super helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends. No complaints at all.

Perfect Rest and Relaxation for our Family

This home is as advertised. Wonderful views of the ocean, amazingly beautiful landscaped property, we had a chance to relax into the "Pura Vida" lifestyle. We enjoyed the deck immensely and spent so much time looking at squirrels eating coconut from trees and listening to the gentle surf roll in and having massages. We loved the restaurant on site and the pool. We had all the support we needed on site from staff at Bahia Vez Pela. In the evening we played games. It was so wonderful that there were games in the house. We cooked several meals in the house and we were so grateful there was quality stainless steel cookware to use. The kitchen was a dream. Thank you Al and CarolAnne for all the support before we even arrived to Costa Rica. I have never felt so supported from afar. I am 70 years old and am getting to the age where I can become a little anxious about traveling out of the country. Your email and WhatApp support before, during and after were so thorough I had no anxiety. We used your recommending driver and did not rent a car and were really supported during our stay. I often rent through VRBO. In truth I have never had such support and I believe you home at Bahia Pez Vela may be my top rental choice so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!!!

Amazing vacation!

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect vacation! Zero complaints, everything was amazing! Alvin was a great host, easy to communicate with. The resort exceeded my expectations. The onsite restaurant was SO good and the staff was all excellent! Still riding the pura vida vibes….

Loved our stay!!

We loved our stay here! The patio facing the ocean is truly magical. We spent most of our time there. The sand and ocean were beautiful, the restaurant was delicious, and convenient, and Al, the owner, was responsive and helpful. It’s a bit of a drive into town or to a market, so golf carts aren’t an option. We took a taxi one day to Playa Coco, and it was super easy and a fun spot for lunch and a brewery stop. If you’re looking for tranquility and stunning views, this villa is perfect.

Wonderful trip - exactly what we wanted (and needed)

The house was perfect - enough room for all of us to relax & get a little space of our own. Well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer was great to have. Loved the covered patio & couch - even in the rain. Bahia Pez Vela is a great resort. The staff on- site was very responsive to any request & helped us set up a few adventures. The restaurant on-site was yummy. Highly recommend & we are already looking for our next visit.

AMAZING!

The villa is located steps from the pool and the beach. It is in a resort that has fabulous staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. The villa itself is well equipped and ideally located. The views from the patio are breathtaking. We stayed a month at Villa Calla and had family cycling through as well as friends. The villa accommodated all with ease. As a bonus the restaurant located on the property is excellent.

Highly Recommended

We had a great time at the Bahia Pez Vela Resort villa 11. The resort is gated with a guard, beautifully landscaped, 2 great pools, and an unbelievably good restaurant. It is hard to believe that a resort this nice can be only accessed by lousy roads…but that just adds to the Costa Rica adventure. We owned/operated a home on VRBO for several years so feel qualified to tell you that the people who own/operate this home on VRBO are real Pro’s. I will cover some topics that might benefit someone trip planning. Villa 11: Ideal. The home was clean and in great condition. All the beds & couches were comfortable and the patio furniture made for great outdoor living. The complex is built on the side of a steep hill. If anyone in your group has mobility issues, only consider the 6 homes fronting the beach. Villa 11 had easy access to the pool/restaurant and the beach. We followed the recommended policy of turning OFF air conditioning in rooms that were not occupied and it worked great…the individual units cooled a room instantly. The home has everything that you would have in a beach house—sand toys, snorkel gear, board games, cooler, beach chairs and umbrellas. The kitchen was a very comfortable place to cook. Everything was in excellent working conditions. Restaurants: PapaGaya Pura Vida. This is the resort restaurant open for lunch/dinner. Excellent. Quite gourmet. Excellent service. Beautiful setting. Fairly pricey but worth it. If you planned to stay in the Guanacaste area, I would skip the car rental and use taxis. Father Roosters. 5-minute drive & on the beach…in fact the tables are all outdoors on the sand. Food was very good. Less expensive. La Caveja Pizza. Really good pizza. Very, very thin crust. The crust is so thin that a large may not be enough for 2-people. Inexpensive. Beach: The black sand is like powder. The hotel provides food/beverage service at the beach. The resort staff will carry down beach lounge chairs or a table/chairs for you. The water in December was chilly but comfortable. The tides are probably in the 4’-5’ range. You can hike on the rocks and explore the adjacent beaches when the tide is low (wear sturdy gym shoes). Snorkeling is best at high tide. The visibility was only about 10’-15’ but we saw quite a few fish and one small moray eel. There were some tiny jellyfish that stung but not very frequently…suggest wearing a long sleeve sun shirt in the water.

Perfectly wonderful winter vacation stay

We stayed at Villa Cala 11 for 5 weeks in January/February as a Covid getaway and we picked the perfect place. I search listings forever trying to find my perfect stay and I achieved it. Bahia Pez Vela Villa 11 has it all - about 100 steps to the beach and about 100 steps to the pool/bar/restaurant. We felt like we had a very private setting as well. We spent every morning on the balcony or the porch drinking coffee, followed by an hour swim in the pool ( water temps were perfect in both the pool and the ocean). We loved lounging by the pool, ordering drinks or lunch, or spending time in the shade on the beach. The black sand is a bit different as it is completely covered in high tide so it's always wet. But we got used to that and absolutely loved the sound of the surf all day long. We went to sleep with it and woke up to it. The villa itself had everything we needed and if we needed something else, they provided it ASAP - completely stocked kitchen, good beds and bathrooms, and loads of outdoor furniture and beach chairs. We did not rent a car during the 5 weeks so we figured out the system for ordering a cab and every driver was so good. They dropped us off, picked us up, waited while we shopped, etc. We had many dinners at Maracuya - the resort restaurant and they were so wonderful and romantic. All of us loved eating outside to the sound of the surf and the food was amazing. Chef Rodrigo was creative and so eager to please us with whatever we needed - the whole staff made us feel like family during our stay. We took several excursions during our stay including a great Palo Verde Nature Cruise and a boat trip - but we were happy just enjoying Bahia Pez Vela. We were totally intrigued by the wildlife around our Villa - the Magpay Jays have so much personality, the Raccoon who visited us a few evenings, the Parrots and my favorite - the Howler Monkeys. The Monkeys were around almost every day and we never tired of our monkey sightings and listening to their calls and watching them move across the property. Thank you to Al for all your great help and advice and to the folks in Villa 10 who created a wonderful beach bonfire one night. We will be back next year for sure.

WOW!!! Can not be missed!

I can not tell you how happy we were with our stay at this property! The view is magnificent, the property was spectacular and clean and so nicely decorated. We were greeted warmly by Alfredo, and Cesar was helpful i getting us tickets for tours. I am hoping to return again someday and spend more time in the area .

Perfection

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The beach access is great. Cesar was more than helpful with setting up deep sea fishing and day trips. Conveniently located, beautiful landscaping, security in place, dining on site, and howler monkeys in the trees. Such a relaxing time and we enjoyed the snorkeling during the day and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. You cannot go wrong with renting this property. Mr Alvin was a wonderful host, and he was very quick to respond to questions and gave us lots of tips for things to do and places to go. We can’t wait to go back!!

We had a lovely stay at Bahia Pez Vela. The villa is well stocked, clean and exactly like the pictures. The resort facilities were amazing. The pool was beautiful and the restaurant was excellent.

The Costa Rican coastline is protected and controlled by the government for the first two hundred meters.

There is no btter location on teh northern pacific that is located so close to the shoreline with the quality of construction offerred by Bahia Pez Vela.

We offer excellent value for your enjoyment.

There's so much to see and do within an hour and half drive from the villa that you will want to come back, just like many of our guests.
