A perfect location for our family of 7, including our 1.4 month-old granddaughter - everyone loved it. Close to the beach, right next to the pool and restaurant (Soluna). Went to the Coco Beach area, (several options for groceries), also had great meals at Soda Teresita (dinner) and Cafe Corazon (breakfast). Per Alvin's recommendations; tried the pizza at La Caveja Pizza - very good!, as well as Father Rooster's, which is a "do not miss" - the food was great and the sunset was spectacular!!Alvin and Cesar were very helpful with any questions we had.

The condo was perfect. So many simple things that made our stay easier-a cooler, and especially the child gates. #10 villa is perfect-steps to the beach and the pool/restaurant. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful as I practiced my Spanish. Alvin, the host was great too. He took care of making sure the water was safe to drink and that we had a paknplay for our grandson. He also made wonderful recommendations for dinner.

Beautiful Property

This property exceeded our expectations. It was perfect being close to the pool and beach with kids. You can’t beat the view from the patio. We were well taken care of by the staff, who assisted in booking excursions and getting us rides as we didn’t rent a car.

Great property!

We loved the location right on the beach - our kids (5,7 and 9) were able to run down in the mornings and play - my husband and I could watch from the deck. The home was clean and comfortable. And being right next to the beach club was so convenient. We would return!

Absolutely wonderful

I can't recommend this Villa enough for your vacation. Extremely convenient to the beach and the clubhouse/restaurant/pool next door. Short drive to Coco beach, not much further to Playa Hermosa. Very attentive staff, and great communication from the owner of this villa. Highly recommended.

Amazing view and beautiful condominium

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The condo is beautiful, roomy and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The view is stunning and your private beach is just a few steps away. The beach club is right next door…great food and drinks and friendly staff. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Absolutely Stunning View

House was lovely, clean and well appointed. The patio is comfy and has such an amazing view you will not want to be inside. Just a few steps away from the secluded black sand beach. The on site restaurant serves delicious food, has a nice ambiance and wonderful customer service. We will most certainly be returning.

A Slice of Paradise

Bahia Pez Vela is a beautiful resort, and Villa Mariposa was as much as we ever expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the excursion opportunities in the area. Cesar and his team were very helpful and accommodating, and we can't say enough good things about how we were treated. Also the food at Soluna was excellent. Overall, we give our experience a "10". We would love to come back some time.

Villa Mariposa, #10

We had a wonderful week at Villa #10, at Bahia Pez Vela Resort. The location, steps from both the striking black sand beach and the resort’s pools and charming restaurant, was ideal. The resort has a friendly family oriented feel. Our hosts Alvin and Carolanne were exceptionally helpful and responsive. Snorkelling right off the beach was very enjoyable. We would heartily recommend Villa #10….and hope to return ourselves!

Beautiful villa on a quiet cove, adjacent to a lovely beach club. The beachfront views were stunning! The villa was equipped with comfortable furniture inside and out, a well-stocked kitchen, and all the supplies you might need for swimming and beach play. All staff onsite were friendly and helpful, and the Villa owner was an exceptional communicator, setting us up for a hassle-free vacation. Can’t wait to come back!

Second time is as great as the first

This is the second time we have stayed at this villa. The property and view are so beautiful! The view of the ocean from the beautiful deck can't be beat and the sound of the rolling waves 24/7 never gets old! The villa is laid out perfectly with the bedrooms on the second floor and living space on ground level. The staff are so helpful, they helped us plan all of our adventures and car rental. Highly recommend this place whether it's with family like our first visit or friends like our second visit, everyone had a great time.

Amazing memories made

We had an amazing experience! We came with our 2 daughters, 20 and 15, and everyone had plenty of space. The villa was very clean with plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen had plenty of space and everything you needed to cook. It was close to the nearby town for shopping and restaurants. We did several excursions and had transportation provided that picked us up at our villa. We would recommend this villa 100%!

Absolutely fantastic

The most beautiful villa with the best views steps from the beach and pool. Lovely spacious villa with everything you need to feel at home. And the terrace is amazing, morning coffee was always an inspirational experience. There is a restaurant on site for lunch and dinner and for afternoon cocktails by the pool the staff is very gracious. Our hosts Carol Ann and Alvin are exceptional people so friendly and welcoming and i truly enjoyed getting to know them If you’re looking for a paradise getaway it would be hard to beat this place.

Incredible property, great location

We had the pleasure of spending one week in Villa 10. It has the most beautiful views of the ocean, and the beautiful and quiet black sand beach. The Villa is beside the lovely and clean pool, and the restaurant, yet still very private. The home is appointed with everything you could need, and we enjoyed preparing some of our own meals, while also having the convenience of the on-site restaurant, and many more great restaurants a short drive away. The owners, and Al in particular who we communicated with, were wonderful and quick to respond to any questions leading up to our stay, and helpful in arranging rental vehicles and provided a lot of information and suggestions for what to see and do in the area. Overall incredible, and we are already thinking about a return visit!

Lovely

So clean, interior even nicer than pictures. The view is gorgeous. I think this unit is the best location on the entire property, tucked away yet steps to the pool and restaurant and the beach. Black sand beach is unique and pretty. Food and drinks, like most reviews indicate was fantastic and we ended up not cooking at all! The office staff and all service staff so friendly, fun and accommodating. Father Roosters very good and fun restaurant too. Owner communication excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay! Would definitely stay again.

This is an absolutely beautiful home. The beach was lovely. We swam in the ocean every day. The home owners made the stay as easy as could be. They provided lists of nearby activities, put us in contact with drivers, car rentals, anything we needed. We booked a fishing excursion through Cesar in the office. It was so easy and the boat picked us up right on the beach! The home is equipped with everything you need. Water floaties, containers for your left overs, soaps and shampoos, etc. I could go on. You simply can't go wrong renting this villa!

Couldn’t ask for more

From the get go the villa owner and the resort management made the process simple and helpful. The villa right on the beach,, steps to private quaint beach and resort pool and restaurant. Must drive to get anywhere else but like the other reviews say, Coco beach (larger but no overly populated) is 3 miles away. You can certainly walk or bike, the locals do, just be warned it’s basically Marshall law ;) This only adds to the experiment though! We have been all over the world and this was one of our top vacations by far! Definitely a 10!
