Amazing Lake house with a great yard and boathouse with a party deck.

Beautiful Lake home with a mix of old and new decor. The yard was meant for children of all ages to play and enjoy summer fun. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. There is also a garage apartment that is furnished with a king size bed, queen size bed, and a daybed with trundle. This room also has a small ref. and microwave along with a full bathroom. The kitchen in the main house is fully equipped and also has granite countertops. A beautiful porch on the front of the house has 2 swings and wicker chairs to enjoy for a late afternoon cocktail. The private boathouse has a flat panel TV and seating along with a large pier. Go on the party deck and enjoy the sunset while sitting around the gas fire pit.

Perfect in every way

This was our third stay for a Thanksgiving family reunion. It could only be better if the weather was a little warmer, but November is November.

Still Fantastic!

Our family enjoyed a long weekend stay on the lake. We first stayed at this house 14 years ago and it’s as wonderful now as it was the first time we visited. So beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing time with family and friends. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful home on Wilson Lake.

Awesome lake cottage

Everything was wonderful, beautiful cottage by the lake. Room for all of us to have enjoy ourselves! Great hosts! I highly recommend this house. We will be back!

Cute and Cozy on the Creek

We felt very comfortable in this peaceful and cozy home on the creek. The view was amazing! There was plenty of room for everyone and the house had everything we needed. Susan and Larry were very sweet and we would love to visit again.

Lakeside Perfection

This property provided the perfect location to bring our kids and grandkids together for a few days. The grounds are incredible with the dock being only steps away which made for great swimming and fishing. The house and apartment are nicely decorated and all the comforts of home are there. We hope to return someday soon.

Husband B'day weekend

The house is perfect. We had 10 people, 4 different couples , a 4yr. and 13 yr.kids.We had space for everyone. Pier and back porch we loved.We caught fish, relaxed, and enjoyed being together. This is our 2nd stay, we will be back. Susan & Larry are great hosts Thanks for sharing your Lake House.

Lake House

Loved the boat and deck area. A hot tub was listed but there wasn't one. We are guessing we were the first guest of the season so some little things needed to be fixed.

Family Christmas

My brother and his family recently moved to this area and didnt have furniture yet to host Christmas. We live in Ohio, so we rented this house so we could all be together for Christmas. The owners had it decorated very nicely for us. We wnjoyed coffee on the dock in the mornings. A few of us fished in the afternoon, and we had plenty of room to have several family meals and play games in the evening.

Beautiful location on Shoal Creek

We had a lovely time during a long weekend at this waterfront retreat. PLENTY of space for a LARGE family. The grounds, dock, back porch, parking—all WONDERFUL. I needed a better frying pan for cooking and better grill for grilling burgers, and I also suggest new bed pillows and a mattress pad on all beds as well as bed covers that can be washed between guests. Other than those easy fixes, great place to stay.

Great place to relax

My crew and I didn't like the hotel selections around the area. So we found this place on VRBO. They had WiFi, a great kitchen with a good bit of supplies. Had tvs in every bedroom, and out on the dock. Great place to fish as well. We were catching brim, bass, and cat fish out of the several days we were there. Nice neighborhood and we made a new best friend when we're there. There is a very nice dog that greats you after a long day of work

Thanksgiving 2023 Family at Lake House!

Our family spent 3 nights at the Gobble lake home! We had a wonderful time with family. We all enjoyed this pretty, comfy ,feels like home lakehouse. The home was well stocked in the kitchen you had lots of cookware etc! Bedrooms and bathrooms the same. The lot is beautiful and well kept. Our family can’t wait for another staycation here, hopefully in summer months. The kids and Adults all had a wonderful time! Also anytime we had a question , Susan , got right back with us, giving great direction we had no problems at all! Thank You Gobble Family, Chip and Deanna

Perfect family reunion location - again!

This is the second time we have stayed in this house for a Thanksgiving family reunition and Alabama/Auburn game (Roll Tide). It was perfect for our family as my elderly mother lives in St Florien- so an easy commute , three families stayed at the house and 4 families stayed at area hotels-we have a large family. The kitchen is VERY well stocked for meals. The TV is perfect for game viewing. The grounds are lovely for chilling and visiting. The children really loved throwing rocks into the Creek and running around the yard. I am booking again for next year!

Great Lake house

My family rented this house at the end of July for a few days. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. It had everything we needed. Plenty of space for everyone as well. The house is in a great location on the lake. We all enjoyed swinging under the covered deck and hanging out on the deck by the lake. Plenty of seating for everyone on the deck. We were able to bring our own boat. Nice smooth water for skiing. Very minimal boat traffic during the week. It was a great family vacation!

Awesome place!

We were visiting Florence to watch our nephew play ball at UNA and this place was awesome! It really felt like home. The house is beautiful and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly imagine. There was plenty of room for everyone, way more beds then we needed. I hate staying at hotels and I own vacation rentals myself so I'm always very critical of places. I have zero complaints about this rental. The owners were awesome and very accommodating. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Perfect spot for multi family gathering

We accidentally found this property while searching for a convenient location to meet up with friends for a long weekend. Super happy with the find - the property has everything you need - quiet/private location but close enough to town for shopping runs, separate apartment for the teenagers, huge yard and awesome dock/deck. There is plenty of space for everyone and ample beds providing several options for multiple families. One note, the only local boat rental we could find was in Florence and opposite side of dam which means if you want to be on the river for tubing etc, you have to pack cars and drive to the marina. Marina on property side of dam has no boat rentals. Ideally BYOB(oat). Overall GREAT rental and owner was very quick to respond to our questions when I texted!

Wonderful Experience!

We have stayed in lots of VRBO homes and this one is definitely one of our favorites. One reason we loved it is that the owners are super easy to work with and very accommodating. It’s clear that they enjoy making sure that their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. This house was super clean and had lots of fabulous furnishings that can accommodate a large family. Many homes we’ve rented before didn’t have enough seating in the family room or on the patios, but this home has more than enough. The views are beautiful and watching the sun rise from the pier was just the best. The house is close to the lake and is on a super level lot. The location is great with downtown Florence being just a short drive from the house. I was a little hesitant to leave a positive review in fear that we’ll not be able to rent it again due to its popularity! You can’t go wrong with this house for a great getaway experience!

A Perfect Fall Break Get Away!!

If you are looking for the perfect spot to take your entire family this is it!! There were 7 of us and a toddler in our group and there was plenty of space and things to do to make it a great week. The party dock was so much more than we expected with lots of seating, tables and lounge chairs and an outdoor drink fridge, sink that is perfect for washing up when fishing, flat screen TV, stereo, and a gas firepit on the top deck. If you like to fish, you won't be disappointed. Everyone in our group caught fish and the teenage boys in our group lived at the dock. The separate apartment was perfect for the teenagers with lots of room, two large beds, table, a mini fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, and a full bathroom. The large kitchen in the house was very well stocked with everything you need for preparing meals and the large table in the dining room was perfect for our large family to gather and eat and play cards and board games at night. The owners have thought of everything to make this a perfect Lakehouse get away that will make you want to go back. Susan was so nice and contacted us right away with details for our arrival and quick to responds when we had a question. We had a great week here and made some great memories and we are looking forward to another trip back.

Branch Bama Vacay

My family of 6 and my wife’s brother’s family of 4 plus one boyfriend. We were all very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the location. I hauled my wakeboat from Louisiana and we spent at least 8 hours/day on the water never more than 5 minutes from the camp. The kids not on the boat spent their time sunning and swimming off the dock. Shoal Creek was crowded with boats on the weekend but quiet on weekdays. We skied and wakeboarded within view of the dock. For wake surfing, there was an area with no docks just around the bend. We launched at the public dock less than 5 minutes drive. I should have asked before I came up, but I incorrectly assumed that I would be able to dock my boat in the boat house. The owner kept a pontoon boat and 2 jet skis under cover. My fault for not asking. Still, it wasn’t a problem to recover the boat at night and launch it in the morning and it gave me the opportunity to top off the fuel tank at the end of each day. The kitchen had plenty of mugs, dishes, and silverware but lacking in pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Not complaining, we made do because the owners did have an awesome gas grill down at the boathouse. No one went hungry, but we weren’t having a Louisiana Saturday Night in that kitchen with the tools we had on hand. Overall, it was the most stress-free vacation we can remember. There was no hurry up and get dressed to go somewhere. If someone slept in, they only had to walk down to the dock to join the gang. Thanks
