Thank you for your interest in our condo. Our condo is outside the fire of 2023 perimeter, but clean-up is still going on and Lahaina Town is closed.

Our unit has a King bed, WIRELESS INTERNET and views. Do you need anything else to have a great vacation? Hale Ono Loa, located on the west side of Maui in the neighborhood of Honokowai, is a 4-story direct ocean front Condo building on the beautiful Kaanapali coast with views of Lanai and Molokai.

The well-maintained grounds have everything you would expect of Hawaii, tropical plants, coconut palm trees, tropical fruits and view, views, views!

If you were expecting trade winds, ocean views, sunsets, ocean breezes, sunshine, whales, turtles, monk seals, rainbows, snorkeling, sunbathing, quiet pace, swimming pool and laundry facilities...look no further, Hale Ono Loa has it all.

#301 located on the 3rd floor (has elevator) is a one bedroom fully furnished remodeled unit with large private lanai. The unit sleeps 2-4 with king bed and queen sleeper sofa. Amenities include usual kitchen appliances with coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. Ceiling fans in the bedroom, living room and Lanai. Linens and towels are provided. Washer and dryer facilities on 2nd & 3rd floor. Our west facing unit allows for beautiful sunsets, whale watching or sunbathing. This unit has been furnished as if we were the guests. No comforts have been spared. We also have a camera tripod and 600mm camera lens that you may borrow for whale watching from our lanai and binoculars. Beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards ready for your use.

Pool and sun decks offer lots of sunshine. Lounge chairs and tables provided as well as 2 free gas barbecues. The elevated sun decks are within feet of the shore allowing great viewing of whales and sea turtles who make their home in the coral reef directly in front of the decks.

We are located less than 1 mile from the Times grocery store with smaller convenience stores and coffee shops along the way. The Dukes Beach Restaurant is nearby and Historic Lahaina town less than 10 minutes away. Free parking for one vehicle. Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Kahului airport depending on traffic and 5 minutes from smaller Kapalua airport. This is a nonsmoking building. In the spirit of transparency, we do not have a beach in front of our building (a coral reef instead). However, there is a beach next door and community park with beach is a 5-minute walk.

Love this location. Sunsets, whales, turtles from property every day

Owner is prompt in responding if any issues come up. Overall unit met all of our needs and was perfect for sunsets, turtles, whales right in front of property. Rooms stocked well. Only one dishwasher pod though so had to hand wash with dish soap provided. lot for two weeks.

We love the location of this condo on West maui but also love the location within the building for its privacy and views. Plenty of sea turtles where the property meets the ocean. Great fishing spot, as locals show up daily to spear and pole fish. Cool trade winds blow daily on this part of the island. Close to amazing beaches, restaurants, groceries and happy hour. Well appointed condo with island decor and a fabulous lanai to enjoy breakfast and evening cocktails or simply read a book and wiggle your toes. Having been visiting maui for 20 years we love the overall value of this lovely property.

Relaxing vacation spot

My husband and I enjoyed a 9 day stay here. While the building itself is a bit drab, the condo has been nicely updated. There was plenty of room for two of us. While we didn't do much cooking, the kitchen seemed to have everything you would need to prepare a meal. The lanai is spacious and has a nice view of the ocean. The sound of the waves was so relaxing. We made frequent use of the beach chairs and coolers that were provided. I didn't notice the flotation belt until our last day, but since I am not totally confident in the water, it was nice to have for snorkeling. There was always a good breeze, so the lack of air conditioning was not a problem at all. The condo is within walking distance of coffee, the farmers market, and a cute little gift shop. You could even walk to the beach if you're not carrying a lot of gear. It's much quieter than the resort area. This condo is a really good value - a view at a reasonable cost..

Cozy, comfortable but sometimes noisy

We enjoyed our stay at Hale Ono Loa unit 301. By and large, the unit was great: the lanai was a welcome space to relax at the end of the day and the unit had a good kitchen setup for the meals we wanted to prepare ourselves. The bed was comfy, and there were lots of fans to help keep the air circulating. The pool was great, and the deck area overlooking the water was a great place to wrap up the day. A few areas for improvement include the condition of the unit: it is fairly dated and it's rear, corner location isn't ideal. To stay cool, you really need to keep the various windows/vents open because there is no AC. Unfortunately, the unit is near the main stairs/elevator entry for the level, as well as the trash chute, the and laundry room. It is also above the main recycling area. This means you'll hear people as they come and go right past the bedroom windows, as well as when people dump their cans and bottles. Additionally, the condo community to the north (right "behind " the bedroom windows) has decided to set up an outdoor smoking area just behind the fence separating the properties. This means you'll get the occasional waft of smoke and will be privvy to all of the early morning and late evening conversations of the smokers. Or, you can shut the vents and deal with the heat. We chose to deal with the noise/occasional smoke because the cross draft was essential to staying cool. A few notes: bring shampoo and conditioner. Soap is provided. Bring coffee: there is a "regular" sized coffee maker. The hosts leave a great welcoming bag for you, too!

Fabulous stay

Loved the cozy condo with stunning ocean view. It was great to have a fully stocked kitchen and so much beach gear to use. Great location with a nice pool and deck where we could look out at the ocean and up at the stars. Wish we knew there were extra parking passes and a printer in the condo because we weren't able to print the pass before arriving. We had a fantastic stay and can't wait to return!

Ideal West Maui condo

This quiet condo has great views of the ocean and pool from the lanai, snorkeling and turtle watching right out your door, all the beach accessories you need, and the perfect location to explore West Maui beaches or just stay put and relax. Did I mention the sunsets? This is the sunset view that people travel from other parts of the island to enjoy. Grab your mai tai and enjoy right from the condo deck. Truly paradise!

West Side Maui

Nice jumping off point for West Maui stay. Views are wonderful and hosts clearly care about their guests. Very nice amenities you wouldn't want to travel with are there for use including beach chairs and snorkel gear and towels. Lack of air conditioning is impactful with west facing views even in November but if your flexible and rolling with the conditions a great spot to visit.

RELAXING AT IT'S BEST!

I have stayed at a lot of VRBO's and I have never stayed at one so nice, so organized, so many resources available, and with perfectly clear instructions. The information was very accurate, information was up to date and the house had every single thing you could think of or need. We stayed here on our last night in Maui and loved it. It is not exactly on the beach- it has a rock area out front but minutes within driving range and an amazing pool! Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful view and comfortable space

The property is exactly as listed and photographed. We were lucky to even see a few of the sea turtles swimming at the reef near shore! Very well cared for property and grounds. Highly recommend!

Maui Vacation

The property was lovely and very accurately described. The community deck was the perfect spot to capture some of the most beautiful Hawaiian sunsets! The location was very close to local hot spots and desired activities. The accommodations were clean, well kept, and comfortable. We were also greeted with a sweet Hawaiian lullaby and gift bag upon arrival! I would absolutely recommend this spot to friends and family and would definitely stay here again!! Mahalo!

Gorgeous home away from home

We had a lovely stay. We were on the island for just a few days attending a beautiful wedding. My friend and I ended up having to work from home a couple of the days and it was great having WiFi access. The Fish Market down the street was delicious. We took the bus into Lahaina to walk around and grab shaved ice. Overall a very lovely relaxing trip!

The right choice

From the moment I walked in, I knew I made the right choice. Me and fiancƩ found this place and liked the pictures. The location is great, the condo was clean and well-equipped, and most importantly, the owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Peace and quiet

This property was exactly what I needed. Everything in the unit was in wonderful condition, the unit itself was the perfect size, even though it was on an upper floor, around the corner from the elevator and right next to the laundry, it was still quiet and comfortable. The grounds looked quite well cared for although we didn't really get a chance to take advantage of any of the properties amenities. Maybe next time.

When we first stayed here it was undergoing major renovations, but we saw the diamond in the rough and now have a beautiful building, with a remodeled condo unit on the most beautiful stretch of coast in Maui.
