Sunshine Beach Bungalow That Is a Unique Treasure

Charming, light-filled 1938 bungalow, surrounded by tropical gardens, steps to Sunshine Beach. Offering both original detail and current amenity, this one-of-a-kind bungalow experience is located on Treasure Island near John's Pass in St Petersburg Florida. Situated on the gulf side of Gulf Boulevard, it makes for a most relaxing and convenient beach experience, all day and every day. No need to cross a busy intersection to reach the white sand and waves, just step out your back door to two conveniently located boardwalks, one on either side.

Listen to the crash of the waves while relaxing on a private deck area with tropical surroundings after a day in the water and sun. Plenty of seating and a gas grill for entertaining. The deck overlooks a privately fenced lawn area with colorful hibiscus and a variety of palm trees (including Coconuts, Fox Tails, Christmas and Areca). This one bedroom, one bath Bungalow sleeps 6 with two pullouts in an oversized, light-filled living area. The kitchen is fully stocked for convenience and use of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc.) are available during your stay.

I have stayed here several times, before new owner as well. Home is one of my favorites we rent, has everything you need. Owner is very responsive and has updated home just enough to keep the old Florida charm in place.

Check in was simple, kitchen provided everything you need for cooking. Having a washer and dryer was handy. The host was awesome. What you see is what you get. I would definitely choose another stay here. Only steps from the beach!

Independence Day Vacation

The beach bungalow was the perfect stay. It was easy to get to the beach, walk to the boardwalk and other attractions. The bungalow fit our family of 5 perfectly. An added bonus was all the great firework displays. We definitely recommend!

We had a great stay. Place was excellent. The owner was good and communication was good. Three topics:1. Needed a new stove and it has just been installed. Scratch that. 2. The billing and credit card charge came from Ken's company which I didn't know at the outset. Consequently, I almost called the credit card company for fraud. (Note that this is VRBO not the owner that could help on this topic). and 3. While the little front yard was great for our pet, note that after a rain, those little biting Florida bugs have a field day (this is all of Florida and not just this property). OVERALL A GREAT, CLEAN, WONDERFUL PROPERTY.

Hidden Gem

This house was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was super clean and contained pretty much anything we needed. My favorite part was that it was only steps away from the BEACH! It was the perfect distance to walk back to the restroom without being a hassle. The beach wasn't crowded at all, and it was so quiet. At times, it felt like we had our own private beach. The white sand was beautiful! The neighborhood where the house is located is quiet, clean, and safe. The house is also about a two-minute drive to Johnā€™s Pass, where many great restaurants, shopping, and fishing boat charters exist. I recommend the Dolphin Cruise. We saw dolphins as soon as the boat left the dock. Overall, this was the perfect place for me and my husband.We look forward to coming back year after year.

Great stay!!

Loved this little place. Very clean and a lot of space for a one bed one bath. Very convenient being close to the beach and Johnā€™s Pass. The small neighborhood is a great place for a slow morning walk. Beautiful yard and well maintained. They provide you with beach equipment which is also a plus.

This was the perfect little place for a beach getaway. The distance to the beach was perfect. There were lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. We had everything we needed for our stay and were impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of this place!

Great stay!

The property was so cute and clean. The location was AMAZING for getting to the beach! I loved that there were beach chairs and umbrellas for us to use too. Being able to sit on the deck in the chairs was a treat. The host was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. The location is pretty far from anything else so keep that in mind if you are wanting to explore other areas.

Its was just two old girls 61 yrs 67 yrs down for a weekend retreat

We fell in love with the pink n white cottage, beautiful inside and out. Property owner/owners have great taste and designer skills.The front yard was was so cozy and beautiful, you could hear the Gulf of Mexico waves actually hitting the beach. Beautiful, cozy home

The home was just as described. Maybe 100 yards from the beach and very well maintained. Ken was helpful and responsive with the couple of questions I had and we would definitely stay there again. Best place we have stayed in the Tampa Bay area

This cottage is the perfect location. Just a few steps to the beach and a short walk the bridge to Johns Pass. The house was clean and had everything we needed. And very dog friendly with the fenced in yard.

Great summer stay

We had a great time at this lovely little cottage. It was perfect for the two of us and our puppy. The yard was great for our puppy. You are literally 50 ft from the beach, which was great. Located next to all the restaurants you need. The owners were very responsive to our emails, so appreciative. Would definitely stay again. Almost forgot the outdoor cold shower was amazing in the July heat.

Wonderful

Everything was wonderful. The house was nice and clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood and very very close to the beach. No complaints! we enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and the grass yard was perfect for the dogs. We walked down the main road down to the Residence Inn where the cement board walk starts along the beach, so we walked the dogs there every morning, dogs are not allowed on the beach, but they are allowed on this one area of boardwalk. We did the 5 minute walk to Crabbys restaurant, which serves breakfast lunch and dinner and you can also walk over the bridge to Madeira Beach where there are tons of restaurants and shopping. So the location was perfect for us. We will definitely be back to this adorable pink house.
