Welcome to Captain's Hideaway, your perfect lakeside retreat on the west side of Cayuga Lake. With its spacious layout, incredible lake views, and peaceful setting, this home was designed for relaxing getaways with family, friends, and even your dogs. Whether you're here to unwind by the water, explore nearby wineries, or enjoy evenings by the fire pit, this beautiful lake home has everything you need for an unforgettable stay.
Inside, the open-concept design feels bright and welcoming. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, featuring a gas stove, dishwasher, and plenty of counter space for preparing family meals. A wall of windows in the living and dining area fills the space with natural light, and a two-sided fireplace connects the living room and game area, creating a cozy spot to gather after a day on the lake. A table in the game area is perfect for cards or board games, while sliding doors lead out to the deck where you can dine, relax, and take in the view.
Just off the kitchen, a quiet library provides a peaceful space to read or work remotely. The Wi-Fi connection is strong throughout the home, and this cozy nook is furnished with a futon and large sofa for extra sleeping or lounging space. A half bath and laundry area are also conveniently located on the main level.
The main-floor primary suite offers a king bed, private bath with a walk-in shower, and sliding doors that open directly onto the lakeside deck. Upstairs, a second primary suite includes another king bed, ensuite bathroom, and private balcony overlooking the water. Two additional bedrooms—one with a queen bed and one with twin beds—share a large full bathroom with both a tub and a shower.
Outside, you'll find plenty of room to enjoy lake life at its best. The level yard is ideal for lawn games, and a fire pit by the water sets the perfect scene for s'mores and stories under the stars. The large deck includes a gas grill and outdoor seating, so you can make the most of every moment by the lake. Dogs are welcome here, with a fenced kennel, crates, and food bowls available for guest use.
Just minutes from wineries, state parks, and local restaurants, Captain's Hideaway is close to everything yet feels completely private. With its peaceful setting, thoughtful amenities, and incredible lakefront, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

1. You will receive an email upon confirmation with a link to our Guest License Agreement which is a copy of our Rental Rules that must be signed and returned within 7 days of receiving.
2. Smoking is not allowed in any rental property. This includes vaping and e-cigarettes.
3. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description.
4. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15.
5. Homes are not guaranteed allergen-free, even those that do not allow pets.
6. Docking is not guaranteed if water levels are low and/or high due to seasonal weather and climate changes.
7. Outdoor amenities, including furniture, watercraft, and firepit are not available between October 15 - May 15.
8. 2 dogs allowed maximum and $100 plus tax non-refundable pet fee applies per dog.
